There was so much news this week, I feel I should begin by just giving you the headlines as reported by the elite news media. This week’s top story comes from the New York Times, a former newspaper, with the headline: “Donald Trump Nearly Gets Himself Assassinated Again.” “Donald Trump’s rhetoric continued to inflame violence as an alleged gunman was alleged to have allegedly tried to allegedly assassinate this fascist threat to Democracy for the alleged second time in eight alleged weeks. Experts on political violence agree that, for his own safety, Trump must be exterminated before his rhetoric gets him killed. “Acting head of the Secret Service Ronald Rowe Jr. admitted his agents erred in not scouting out the alleged spot on the alleged golf course where the alleged gunman allegedly waited for twelve alleged hours with an alleged AK-47, but Rowe said the spot was often used by paparazzi because of its excellent line of sight on Trump, and the service’s commitment to freedom of the press made them reluctant to disturb anyone with a long distance scope who might just be a photographer with an AK-47. Rowe, who was made acting head of the service after he arranged security for Trump at Butler, Pennsylvania, has now been promoted to Lord High Master of all Safety for Republican Candidates Everywhere.” In another top story, the Washington Post presented an analysis of Hezbollah’s exploding pagers headlined, “Has the Jewish Sense of Humor Gone Too Far?” “Across Lebanon this week, Hezbollah terrorist leaders were heard to say, ‘I’ve got to go. My pager is blowing up.’ Then they did, and they did. American Middle East experts have become concerned that if Israel continues to recklessly kill Iranian proxy terrorists, there’ll be no one left to chant “Death to America” except the Democrat Party. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to deny his country’s involvement in the incident, but could only gasp out the word, “pagers,” over and over again while giggling helplessly. “Searching for a silver lining to having their terrorists’ pagers explode while hooked to the front of their belts, Hezbollah has announced that the survivors of the attack will be forming the new falsetto section of the Iranian Formerly Boys Choir. Now, even on a busy week like this, the elite media did not spend all its time covering hard news. For instance, on NBC’s Today Show, anchorwoman Savannah Guthrie used her cooking segment to strike back against anti-migrant sentiment by offering an excellent Haitian recipe for house cats garnished with the stolen souls of your enemies. Miss Guthrie said, “The federal government has found absolutely no cat eating among the 20-thousand Haitian migrants dumped on the 60-thousand people of Springfield, Ohio, by the federal government — but just in case, here’s a tasty Haitian treat that will help you do the voodoo they do-do so well.” Am I Racist? ABC’s Good Morning America ran a segment called “Colorful Customs from Around the Globe,” in which George Stephanopoulos interviewed a Haitian migrant from Springfield on how to silence inconvenient witnesses. After George shared his techniques, the migrant demonstrated how to stick pins in a doll. Though some viewers protested the doll looked suspiciously like Donald Trump, Stephanopoulos explained the doll was simply meant to represent all political evil-doers. The migrant then stuck pins in the doll and Stephanopoulos ran out of the studio screaming in agony. TV icon Oprah Winfrey lent her star power to Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, but sadly their segment on the story of Amber Nicole Thurman shows Harris is anti-science and refuses to take responsibility for the failures of the Biden-Harris Food and Drug Administration’s lax abortion-drug policies, which harm women. Thurman—whose case Vice President Harris also highlighted in a Georgia speech Friday—tragically died, reportedly after the abortion pill mifepristone caused sepsis infection. That’s because the Biden-Harris FDA enabled women to manage risky and traumatic chemical abortions at home alone, without mandated help from medical professionals.  Thurman would likely be alive without the Biden-Harris FDA. Some liberals blame Georgia’s pro-life limits on abortion for Thurman’s death, but Georgia state law explicitly allows abortions when a mother’s life or physical health is at risk. Indeed, as this Independent Women’s Voice interactive national map shows, abortion is legal in all 50 states—always for the life of the mother, as well as for additional exceptions and time frames. Thurman underwent a chemical abortion across state lines in North Carolina prior to her arrival in a Georgia emergency room. Sadly, when she arrived at the hospital after her infection, her unborn twins already reportedly showed no heart activity.  That means it was the alleged malpractice of the hospital physicians who failed to properly treat Thurman, whose unborn children were already dead. Dangerous chemical abortions—known as “the pill”—are now the most common method of terminating a pregnancy. Without proper monitoring, they are a serious threat to women’s health and require greater medical scrutiny.  One notable research study published in the academic journal Obstetrics and Gynecology reported on a longitudinal analysis of more than 40,000 abortions in Finland from 2000 to 2006.  That study found that one in five women undergoing chemical abortions experienced complications—four times more than the number of women who experienced complications from surgical abortions. The fact that chemical abortions involve less physician supervision than surgical procedures is likely a factor in those increased complications Dr. Christina Francis, CEO of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a board-certified OB-GYN who has practiced for two decades, said that Thurman’s death “was caused by legal abortion drugs,” as well as medical negligence. “Amber Thurman’s tragic death, recently covered by multiple news organizations, was caused by side effects of legal abortion drugs and medical negligence, not pro-life laws,” Francis said in a statement. Dr. Heidi Overton, a medical doctor with a Ph.D. in public health, noted for the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) that prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, elements of the chemical abortion process became remote through a site-to-site protocol from Planned Parenthood and a direct-to-patient protocol in a clinical trial. However, some components of each process still required an in-person visit. Overton—a White House fellow in 2019-2020 in both the Trump White House’s Office of American Innovation and the Domestic Policy Council who now serves as ??vice chair of the Center for a Healthy America and chief policy officer at AFPI—noted that early in the pandemic, abortion providers published a protocol for a “no-test medication abortion,” allowing for fully virtual medical appointments (also called “tele-abortion”) for chemical abortions without the need for labs, ultrasound, or a pelvic exam in select states—under the guise of preventing unnecessary COVID-19 exposures for women and doctors.  Though expanded access to telehealth is generally positive, it should occur only in cases in which it is completely safe for patients, and tele-abortion does not meet that standard. In May 2020, the American Civil Liberties Union, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and other plaintiffs filed a lawsuit seeking to block the in-person dispensing requirement for a chemical abortion. A mere two months later, in July 2020, a federal district court suspended the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy requirement that mifepristone must be distributed in person, allowing these pills to be distributed by mail for the duration of the pandemic.  The Trump administration appealed that ruling, and the Supreme Court granted a stay on Jan. 12, 2021. Efforts to use COVID-19 to expand abortion-on-demand faced early legal challenges, as Overton notes, but chemical abortion proponents found favor during the Biden-Harris administration. In April 2021, the Biden-Harris FDA announced temporary enforcement discretion regarding the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy before it permanently revised the policy in December 2021 to allow chemical abortion without the safeguards of in-person evaluation.  In January 2023, the FDA approved the dispensing of the medication at retail pharmacies after a prescription from an authorized medical provider. That policy serves to facilitate abortion on demand from any setting and removes health safeguards. The Left claims to support women and to “trust the science,” but the facts around chemical abortion tell a different story. We publish a variety of perspectives. Well, can you still consider it stealing if your victim willingly goes with you? That might be a dog owner’s conundrum when she found out that her seven-year-old neighbor “stole” her Husky and replaced it with a stuffed dog toy. Amanda Sullivan of Glouchester, Massachusetts caught her neighbor, Olivia Myers, in the act of stealing her dog and shared the clip on TikTok that has now gone viral. In the video, Olivia approaches Sullivan’s 11-year-old Husky, named Gunnar, who was minding his own business. https://www.tiktok.com/@corporalgunnar/video/7410527208248200490 The little girl proceeds to swap Gunnar’s collar – from a “Mama’s Boy” collar to an “Olivia’s Boy” collar. And then leaving behind a stuffed Husky toy beside Gunnar before asking the pooch to come with her. “Gunnar was so conflicted whether he should actually go with her or wait for me to come outside like I always do,” Sullivan wrote in the caption. After hesitating and barking a few times, Gunnar caved in and went with Olivia. Sullivan later “confronted” the little girl who she found playing with Gunnar. She asks Olivia, “did you steal my dog? did you change his collar?” earning a mischievous look from the little girl. She explains, “When I got an alert from my backyard camera and saw what she was doing, I thought I’d let her play it out. I was laughing inside the house, which I think Gunnar heard, which explains why he was so hesitant to go with her.” “I can’t say that you can call it ‘stealing’ when he goes willingly,” laughs Sullivan. It turns out that the two are actually best friends! Sullivan reveals to New York Post that Gunnar and Olivia have been inseparable since they met two years ago. She even says that there has been an ongoing “beef” between the neighbors on who Gunnar belongs to. But talking to TODAY and describing Gunnar and Olivia as “two peas in a pod”, Sullivan seems to have accepted that there’s just a special and undeniable bond between the two. “At this point, I’ve accepted that we have shared custody of Gunnar,” says Sullivan.
