House Republicans said on Monday the Department of Justice (DOJ) has one week to produce materials from special counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents. Leaders of the corruption-focused impeachment inquiry into Biden wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland‚ saying their committees “require certain records” from Hur’s probe and report‚ including transcripts and recordings of the special counsel’s two-day interview with the president. The group‚ led by Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY)‚ also demanded records that pertain to an interview with Biden’s ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer‚ documents linked to a December 2015 call Biden had with then-Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk‚ and communications between officials related to Hur’s report. 🚨BREAKING🚨 We are giving the Justice Department until February 19 at 5p to produce the transcript of President Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur and other documents included in the report that relate to our impeachment inquiry. Comer‚ who was joined by Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO)‚ said the documents request will also inform oversight of the DOJ’s “commitment to impartial justice” and its handling of a documents-related investigation and prosecution into Biden’s presumptive 2024 opponent‚ former President Donald Trump. “Despite clear evidence the President willfully retained and transmitted classified materials willfully‚ Mr. Hur recommended ‘that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter‚'” the trio said in their letter to Garland. “Although Mr. Hur reasoned that President Biden’s presentation ‘as a sympathetic‚ well-meaning‚ elderly man with a poor memory’ who ‘did not remember when he was vice president’ or ‘when his son Beau died’ posed challenges to proving the President’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt‚ the report concluded that the Department’s principles of prosecution weighed against prosecution because the Department has not prosecuted ‘a former president or vice president for mishandling classified documents from his own administration‚'” the lawmakers continued. “The one ‘exception’ to the Department’s principles of prosecution‚ as Mr. Hur noted‚ ‘is former President Trump.’ This speaks volumes about the Department’s commitment to evenhanded justice‚” the lawmakers wrote.

Jake Crain interjected‚ “Didn’t we fight a huge war inside the country so that we would stop doing this? So‚ we would have one national anthem. One of the reasons that aliens won’t talk to us is because we are this stupid.” “We think to combat racism we should look at everything through color … I just don’t know why we do this‚” he added. “Can you imagine? Where’s the Hispanic national anthem? Where’s the Asian national anthem?” Blain Crain said the “Black National Anthem” says it wants “to lift everybody’s voices and you’re excluding every other race.” “It makes no sense to me. I didn’t even know they’ve been doing this back since 2020‚” he added. “There’s one national anthem. That’s it.”  Jake Crain added‚ “We brought Reba McEntire to the Super Bowl‚ not to sing the white national anthem‚” asking what are we doing? The host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” agreed and called it “divisive.” “There’s one national anthem for all of us‚” Kelly said. “Every American. There’s no point‚ and actually‚ it’s a middle finger to the country‚ to those of us that love each other irrespective of skin color to try to divide us by race when we get to anthems at the Super Bowl.” Daily Wire host David Cone said one of the first steps that’s needed‚ from a marketing perspective‚ is to “stop calling it the ‘Black National Anthem'” and said the “NFL has found themselves in this tough spot where they are trying to market to all these demographics and make everyone happy.” He said that the bottom line is the league isn’t going to be able to “make everyone happy.” However‚ Cone did credit the NFL and players as there was no kneeling during the national anthem‚ a short trend started by former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The news comes after Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded last week in his criminal investigation into Biden’s handling of classified material that Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials‚” but no criminal charges were warranted‚ adding that prosecutors “also considered that‚ at trial‚ Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury…as a sympathetic‚ well-meaning‚ elderly man with a poor memory.” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Monday that Biden will have a his yearly physical exam‚ although she was unsure of the exact timeline. When asked if he would be taking a “cognitive test” as part of his physical‚ she said that Dr. Kevin O’Connor believes that Biden “proves every day how he operates‚ how he thinks by dealing with world leaders‚ by making really difficult decisions on behalf of the — the American people‚ whether it’s domestic‚ whether it’s national security.” “And so‚ he shows it every day on how he thinks‚ how he operates‚” she continued. “And so‚ that is how — that is how Dr. O’Connor sees it. And that’s how I’m going to leave it.” Polling has shown that the  86% of Americans believe Biden‚ who has not taken a cognitive test since being in office‚ is too old to be president again‚ while 76% have concerns about his mental fitness.
