Major US Police Department Rolls Out 'Pride' Badges, Admits They Have Nothing to Do with Law Enforcement

Would a police officer sporting a rainbow "pride" badge rather than the official Tampa Police Department badge be more or less likely to be respected by criminals? The Florida city's police department has introduced a new commemorative badge design for LGBT "Pride Month" and shared a video highlighting the symbolism...

Watch: Bill Maher Says WNBA Players Hate Caitlin Clark Because She's White and Not Lesbian

It's only been a week and change since the incident occurred, but it feels like I've already seen the clip of WNBA star Caitlin Clark receiving a gratuitous hip-check from Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter about as many times as I've seen Joe Theismann getting his leg snapped in two...

Republican Attorney General Files Lawsuit Against Planned Parenthood, Accuses Organization Of Trafficking Minors To Obtain Abortions

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, a Republican, has filed a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood for “trafficking children out-of-state to obtain abortions without parental consent.” “We filed suit against Planned Parenthood for trafficking minors out of state to obtain abortions without parental consent. Today is our first court appearance,” Bailey said. “This lawsuit is the culmination of a multi-year campaign to drive Planned Parenthood out of Missouri because of its flagrant and intentional refusal to comply with state law,” he added. This lawsuit is the culmination of a multi-year campaign to drive Planned Parenthood out of Missouri because of its flagrant and intentional refusal to comply with state law. — Attorney General Andrew Bailey (@AGAndrewBailey) June 10, 2024 “Planned Parenthood’s most recent unlawful behavior was captured on video, when Planned Parenthood staff admitted they traffic minors across state lines to perform abortions without parental consent,” he continued. “They admit to doing this ‘every day, every day, every day,'” he added. I filed suit to ensure it never happens again. — Attorney General Andrew Bailey (@AGAndrewBailey) June 10, 2024   “This is the beginning of the end for Planned Parenthood in the State of Missouri. What they conceal and conspire to do in the dark of night has now been uncovered. I am filing suit to ensure it never happens again,” Bailey said. “As a father who held my daughter in my arms for the single hour of her life before she died, I know firsthand how important it is to protect life. Our children are the future. It is time to eradicate Planned Parenthood once and for all to end this pattern of abhorrent, unethical, and illegal behavior,” he added. Bailey’s office stated in a press release: General Bailey’s lawsuit is the culmination of a multi-year campaign to drive Planned Parenthood from the State of Missouri because of its flagrant and intentional refusal to comply with state law. In the suit, Attorney General Bailey lays out Planned Parenthood’s pattern of statutory violations: In 2018, following at least a half-decade of health-code violations, Planned Parenthood’s facility in Columbia was shut down after staff admitted to having used moldy abortion equipment on women for months. Also in 2018, Planned Parenthood physicians conceded in open court that, for at least 15 years, the organization failed to comply with state law requiring physicians performing abortions to file reports when women experience medical complications from abortions. In 2020, the Administrative Hearing Commission determined that even though Missouri law at the time required that the same physician who performs an abortion be the one to notify the woman of the risks of abortion, physicians at Planned Parenthood were not doing so. Planned Parenthood’s most recent unlawful behavior was captured in an investigative video, when Planned Parenthood staff admitted they traffic minors across state lines to perform abortions without parental consent. Worse, they admit doing this “every day, every day, every day.” The investigation revealed that Planned Parenthood removes minors from school using altered doctors’ notes, transports them into Kansas for abortions, and then quickly returns them—all to avoid the legal requirement to obtain parental consent. It is against the law in Missouri to intentionally cause, aid, or assist a minor to obtain an abortion without parental consent in another state. § 188.250, RSMo. Attorney General Bailey is seeking injunctive relief. “Heading to court in 45 minutes to ensure this behavior never happens in Missouri again. Time to hold bad actors accountable,” Bailey said. Bailey stated, “This lawsuit is a direct result of the investigation conducted by Project Veritas in November of 2023 that uncovered an agent of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Kansas City, brazenly committed to past, present, and future violations of this state’s laws regarding proper parental consent notification, a conspiracy to traffic women out of state for abortions, and a conspiracy to conceal the sexual exploitation of children.” The lawsuit filed today seeks a court order enjoining Planned Parenthood from concealing sexual offenses committed against minors, and for conspiring to transport minors across state lines for abortions in violation of state statute. Bailey also called upon state policymakers to use the tools necessary to permanently defund Planned Parenthood. As part of the lawsuit the AG’s office will be conducting its own investigation. Planned Parenthood could be facing administrative, civil, and criminal penalties.

Bill Gates Announces Breaking Ground Of “Next-Generation Nuclear Power Plant”

Bill Gates announced they broke ground on the “first-ever Natrium plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.” “I’ve been waiting for this day for nearly 20 years: Today, we broke ground on the first-ever Natrium plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming. This next-generation nuclear power plant is a big step towards safe, abundant, zero-carbon energy,” Gates said. I’ve been waiting for this day for nearly 20 years: Today, we broke ground on the first-ever Natrium plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming. This next-generation nuclear power plant is a big step towards safe, abundant, zero-carbon energy. https://t.co/OxMYdU5o4R — Bill Gates (@BillGates) June 10, 2024 “Kemmerer, Wyoming will soon be home to the most advanced nuclear facility in the world,” Gates wrote. From GatesNotes: I just left the groundbreaking ceremony for the first-ever Natrium plant, which will bring safe, next-generation nuclear technology to life right here in Wyoming. It’s a huge milestone for the local economy, America’s energy independence, and the fight against climate change. Today is a big one for Kemmerer—for the coal plant workers who will be able to see their future job site being constructed across the highway, for the local construction workers who will be part of a 1,600-person skilled labor force building the plant, and for the local businesses that will take care of the new workforce. The plant was designed by TerraPower, a company I started in 2008. But my nuclear journey started several years earlier, when I first read a scientific paper for a new type of nuclear power plant. The design was far safer than any existing plant, with the temperatures held under control by with the laws of physics instead of human operators who can make mistakes. It would have a shorter construction timeline and be cheaper to operate. And it would be reliable, providing dependable power throughout the day and night. As I looked at the plans for this new reactor, I saw how rethinking nuclear power could overcome the barriers that had hindered it—and revolutionize how we generate power in the U.S. and around the world. So, we started TerraPower, where nuclear scientists could take the concept and transform it into a reality. Since then, the amazing team at TerraPower has proven we can do nuclear better. They are leading the country—and the world—in developing safe, next-generation nuclear technology. Microsoft’s Gates breaks ground on novel nuclear power plant in Wyoming: The pilot Natrium nuclear power plant in Kemmerer will be the first of what TerraPower officials hope will be a worldwide fleet of new nuclear energy facilities. The post… https://t.co/ZGvo6b5WQs — LanderTalk.com (@landertalk) June 10, 2024 WyoFile reports: Gates-backed TerraPower touts the Natrium design as part of the industry’s “next generation” strategy to deploy nuclear power throughout the nation and across the globe — a low-carbon alternative for stable electrical generation and a means to address planet-warming carbon dioxide emissions while meeting growing demand for electricity, according to the company. Rather than the industry’s existing standard of massive nuclear power plants that consume a lot of water, Natrium is much smaller and will use liquid sodium to cool the reactor, which is designed to generate a consistent 345 megawatts of power — enough energy to power about 250,000 homes — with a capability of ramping up to 500 megawatts for short periods, according to the Bellevue, Washington-based TerraPower. The $4 billion construction project is also considered an economic lifeline for southwest Wyoming, particularly the adjacent towns of Kemmerer and Diamondville, a region impacted by fossil fuels’ decline. The company selected the location in 2021 in part because it can tap into existing power-grid infrastructure and local labor force currently serving the nearby Naughton power plant, which is scheduled for permanent closure in 2036. Until the Natrium project came along, locals considered the pending Naughton closure — and potentially the Kemmerer coal mine that serves it — an insurmountable blow to jobs and the local economy. “I believe this project will keep Kemmerer prosperous for decades to come,” Gates said. “That’s because we’re not just going to build the one plant. We’re going to build a lot of these things.” Electrical demand is projected to increase across the globe — including to support data centers and artificial intelligence, Gates said. And nations are desperate for reliable carbon-free energy. WATCH:
