The Relationship Rule That Saved My Marriage After Kids

“It was your typical whirlwind romance: my partner and I met, by chance, at the end of 2015. We didn’t talk again for months, but never stopped thinking about each other. We reconnected the summer of 2016, went on an official first date, and the rest is history, as they say. By early 2019, we were married and had just bought our first home together. For the first time in our young adult lives, we had disposable income. We had more free time than we knew what to do with. We lived in a bubble of romantic dinners, spontaneous vacations, and lazy weekends in bed. Sometimes, I dream of those early days when I lie awake in our bed, smushed between our toddler and 6-month-old baby as my husband snores on the couch in the living room so that he doesn’t wake us up when he goes to work at the crack of dawn. We eat dinner in shifts, taking turns holding the baby and mopping spilled milk off the kitchen floor. Spontaneous vacations have been replaced with spontaneous trips to the grocery store, because running out of coffee constitutes an emergency these days. Of course, we wouldn’t trade it for anything, but there’s a reason why they call this season of life ‘the trenches.’ Our bubble of perpetual togetherness popped a long time ago. Sometimes our lives feel like two separate bubbles, orbiting each other but never merging. I don’t remember who started ‘the date rule.’ It began as a joke shortly after our oldest child was born. We left her with my mom for the first time so that we could run some short, mundane errand that would have been impossible with a baby. It was the first time we had been alone together since we brought her home, so we decided to pretend that we were on a date. We held hands in the car. We listened to ‘our songs.’ There were no phones allowed, and no talking about our kids. By the time we returned home, we were giddy with satisfaction at our stolen time together. We felt like we had cheated the system. Ready to live life more meaningfully? Subscribe to our free newsletter, Living Better. From then on, anytime we found ourselves alone together, we made it a rule that we were automatically on a date. It didn’t matter what we were doing—we had to treat it like an occasion. We held hands walking into the hardware store. We kissed in the gas station parking lot. We made a point to ask about the other’s feelings, check in on our mental health, and brainstorm ways to better support each other. Still, there were no phones and no talking about the kids permitted. When our second child was born, we amended the rule: even if we had a kid or two with us, if they were asleep or otherwise occupied, it was still a date. Any uninterrupted time together was quality time. The result of this rule is that we found ourselves on some hilariously unromantic ‘dates.’ Finding creative ways to incorporate emotional and physical affection into an otherwise boring, annoying, or stressful task became a game. One of my favorite recent memories is when I was pregnant with our second child and we left our toddler with my mom to go buy a car. The smooth-talking salesman suggested, ‘Why don’t we go ahead and make a deal so you two can get on with your day? I’m sure you have more fun things to do than sit here with me.’ My husband put his arm around me and replied, ‘Actually, we’re on a date right now, so we’re having a great time. We wouldn’t mind staying all day.’ Even though this idea felt revolutionary to us at the time, I’ve come to realize that it isn’t. Early in our relationship, when just being together felt magical, we naturally blurred the lines between romance and ‘real life.’ We held hands in the car while running errands. We snuggled together on the couch while paying bills. We talked about our hopes and dreams and greatest fears while washing dishes. We didn’t realize at the time that these moments—not the big, spontaneous, romantic gestures—were the foundation of our relationship. That someday, when the currents of early parenthood pulled us apart, moments like these would bring us back together.” Courtesy of Siel Studer Have a story of love, kindness, or healing to share? ‘Mexico’s Door’: Daily Wire’s Kassy Akiva Sees The Border Crisis Firsthand

With more than 10 million illegal crossings recorded since President Biden and Vice President Harris took office, the southern border faces an unprecedented crisis. In a new documentary, The Daily Wire’s Kassy Akiva shows the chaos firsthand. Akiva embedded with Texas State troopers and toured the southern border by police cruiser, helicopter, and airboat. “Mexico’s Door,” now streaming on DailyWire+, brings viewers along for the ride, and highlights Texas’s ongoing efforts to protect the border after the Biden-Harris administration failed to do so. While in Eagle Pass, Texas, Akiva met with a migrant whose wife gave birth just after swimming across the Rio Grande, a rancher who has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars because migrants keep cutting his fences, and members of the Texas National Guard and state law enforcement officers on the front lines of defending America’s border. WATCH: Mexico’s Door: The Center of America’s Border Fight   ‘Mexico’s Door’ was filmed after Governor Greg Abbott ordered Texas state troopers and the Texas National Guard to secure the southern border under Operation Lone Star. Among the officers Akiva meets are Texas State Trooper Jacklyn Gooding, who patrols the border in search of human smugglers and illegal immigrants. Gooding recounts arresting a smuggler last April who was wanted for murder. “It was a pursuit when I tried to stop the car initially, and we were able to capture the two individuals that were involved in the smuggling event, as well as all the undocumented individuals,” Gooding says. “The suspects were armed at the time: both of them had firearms, and the driver had an active warrant for murder out of Louisiana.” Reporter Kassy Akiva and Lt. Chris Olivarez speaking to a Venezuelan migrant who said his wife was taken by the National Guard to a hospital after going into labor. (Photo: The Daily Wire) Akiva encounters a Venezuelan migrant behind the razor wire fence who illegally swam across the Rio Grande while carrying a three-year-old. The migrant says the child belonged to his wife who went into labor and was transported to a hospital right after reaching the shore. Lt. Chris Olivarez from the Texas Department of Public Safety tells Akiva pregnant mothers commonly wait to cross the border until they are about to go into labor, to ensure their children become citizens. “To be that far in your pregnancy, they have to know more or less when she is going to give birth in order to cross on this side and cross here in the United States,” Olivarez says. “We see that a lot—where a lot of pregnant females who are coming across, they will wait, usually when they are about to give birth. Then they’ll cross into the United States and they’ll have the baby that same day. or they’ll have it right at the river as they are crossing.” Migrants on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande after crossing illegally from Mexico. (Photo: The Daily Wire) Olivarez added that migrants also use children in hopes that the troopers will be more willing to assist them in entering the country. “They use the children in those types of situations because they know there is a human side to us,” Olivarez said. Olivarez takes Akiva through the 47-acre Shelby Park, which was a focal point in the struggle between Texas and the Biden-Harris administration before Abbott took control of the park, barring federal agents from entry. Apprehensions of illegal migrants in the Del Rio sector, which includes Shelby Park, were at a high of 71,050 in December. It dropped to 16,710 in January when Abbott took control. Thirteen Republican governors joined Abbott at Shelby Park in February to support the governor’s ongoing feud with the Biden-Harris administration. Fourteen states have sent personnel to help Texas secure its border. Republican Governors join Texas Governor Greg Abbott for a briefing on the southern border / (Photo: The Daily Wire) Before the State of Texas controlled Shelby Park, the area saw about two thousand illegal border crossings a day, with many migrants swimming across the river and turning themselves in to Customs and Border Protection. But with Texas personnel on the scene, migrants are arrested for illegally trespassing into the park, told to swim back, or wait in hopes that border patrol picks them up. The area now averages about less than one encounter a week, according to Olivarez. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — MATT WALSH’S EXPOSÉ ON DEI Akiva takes an airboat tour of the Rio Grande with Florida and Texas state troopers, who say the border around the area of Eagle Pass averages about one drowning a day. Olivarez says Texas has stepped up the effort to prevent water crossings by putting up barriers, while the federal government has been reluctant to do so. While on the boat, Akiva’s team spots a raft staged on the shore of the Mexican side of the Rio Grande, presumably to transport migrants. Mexican troops removed the raft after they were alerted by Texas law enforcement. From a helicopter, Akiva spots hundreds of thousands of pieces of clothing that migrants take off after they finish their swim and place over the razor wire fences to avoid being cut while climbing over. Akiva concludes her trip by meeting Texas rancher Wayne King, who says he lost over $400,000 from migrants cutting thousands of holes in his fence, allowing his African and Indian exotic animals meant for recreational hunting to escape. Wayne King says local law enforcement has access to Tequesquite Ranch to arrest migrants for trespassing on private property. (Photo: The Daily Wire) “If they really wanted to do this right, why are they coming to my pastures?” King says. “Why are they destroying water troughs? Water lines, windmills, fences? Why are they doing that? Why don’t they just cross the bridge where they can get all of the government’s handouts and everything’s hunky dory?” King, who lives in a house on the 8,200-acre ranch, says he’s been woken up by migrants in the middle of the night. He says he is “tickled to death” that Abbott has stepped up to secure the border. “Abbott is doing his utmost best to protect us here on the border,” he says. “It’s just crazy. I mean, but what else do you want to call it when our state is trying to protect us, but yet our federal government is trying to stop the state from protecting us.”

As A Prosecutor, Kamala Harris Refused To Seek The Death Penalty For A Gang Member Who Murdered A Cop

When Kamala Harris was running to be San Francisco’s district attorney, she said she would never pursue the death penalty. But then a case came before her that was so deserving, that her commitment to her campaign promise blindsided a grieving family and even gained condemnation from former prominent Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein. On April 10, 2004, San Francisco police officer Isaac Espinoza, 29, was called to work overtime on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Espinoza, a plainclothes officer, looked forward to attending Easter services the next day with his wife, Renata, and their 3-year-old daughter. During his night shift, however, the Espinozas’ lives would be forever changed. Espinoza and his partner saw a man walking down the street in the Bayview District of San Francisco, and it looked like he was hiding a weapon, CNN reported in 2019, while Harris was running for president. Espinoza exited his unmarked police car and approached the man, later identified as 21-year-old David Hill, saying he was a police officer. Hill turned to face him, reached for his AK-47 rifle, and opened fire, the San Francisco Examiner reported. “I had just talked to Isaac maybe about 30 to 40 minutes before,” Renata told CNN. “He had told me to stay up because he was coming home.” Another police officer took her to the hospital where Espinoza had been taken after the altercation, reassuring the frightened mother that her husband was “fine” and “alive.” But when they arrived at the hospital, none of the other police officers could look at Renata, and the captain handed her Espinoza’s star. “I remember I walked into this room and he still had blood here,” she told CNN, tearing up. “He was laying there with his eyes closed and I saw the blood here. And I walk over to him I just said, ‘wake up.’” Espinoza’s death was the first time a San Francisco police officer had been killed in the line of duty in at least 10 years, CNN reported. Gary Delagnes, then-president of the San Francisco Police Officers Association, told CNN he received a call from Harris “a day or two” after Espinoza’s death. A day later, Harris spoke during a news conference regarding the murder. “In San Francisco, it is the will, I believe, of a majority of people that the most severe crimes be met with the most severe consequences,” Harris said at that news conference. “And that life without the possibility of parole is a severe consequence.” Delagnes was at the event as well, standing quietly next to Harris. “I’m standing there and I’m going, ‘Oh my God,’” he told CNN. “The kid’s not even in the ground yet. You’re thinking to yourself, OK, is she sorry that this kid died or is this just a political opportunity? Is this just an opportunity for her to double down on the fact she’s not going to pursue the death penalty?” He also told the outlet that he didn’t know Harris was going to take the death penalty off the table when he agreed to appear alongside her at the event. Harris’ team justified the decision by saying San Francisco juries rarely, if ever, sentenced criminals to death, and reminded the media that Hill, the shooter, was only 21 years old. Renata, Espinoza’s widow, told CNN that she remembered the press conference as the first time she heard Harris would not pursue the death penalty against the man who killed her husband. “She did not call me,” Renata told the outlet. “I don’t understand why she went on camera to say that without talking to the family. It’s like, you can’t even wait till he’s buried?” “I felt like she had just taken something from us,” she added. “She had just taken justice from us. From Isaac. She was only thinking of herself. I couldn’t understand why. I was in disbelief that she had gone on and already made her decision to not seek the death penalty for my husband.” At Espinoza’s funeral, Harris was rebuked by none other than then-Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat who at the time supported the death penalty. Feinstein would later switch her position on the issue, but at the time, she took a moment during Espinoza’s eulogy to condemn Harris’ decision. “This is not only the definition of tragedy, it’s the special circumstance called for by the death penalty law,” she said, diverting from her prepared remarks but not naming Harris. The hundreds of officers attending the funeral stood up and clapped after Feinstein’s remark. Even after the funeral, Harris didn’t call Renata. So, Renata wrote her a letter. Espinoza’s older sister, Regina, expected to hear from the DA. “She never called,” Regina told CNN. “There was no consideration for Renata, my niece, my parents, me, or the officers. It was as if she didn’t care.” Espinoza’s family didn’t understand why Harris wasn’t pursuing the death penalty since California law allowed for “special circumstances,” including the murder of a police officer. And, while San Francisco juries rarely agreed to the death penalty, it had been decades since an accused cop killer was put on trial. Nearly two weeks after Espinoza’s death, Harris – who still hadn’t called his family – wrote an opinion article published in the San Francisco Chronicle again defending her choice not to seek the death penalty, saying the “district attorney is charged with seeking justice, not vengeance.” WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — MATT WALSH’S EXPOSÉ ON DEI The family then reached out to the assistant DA to try to meet with Harris. “I can’t remember exactly what she said,” Espinoza’s sister Regina told CNN. “But I remember there was no connection. We let her know how we felt. We didn’t walk away feeling better.” “She never came over and said, ‘I’m sorry for your loss.’ Never. Nothing.” Espinoza’s widow, Renata, added. “I would have been able to hear her explanation directly and then we could have talked about it.” Renata told CNN she never received any compassion from Harris in the years following, during Hill’s trial and conviction. During her short-lived campaign for president in 2019, Harris wouldn’t tell reporters whether she ever personally spoke to anyone from the Espinoza family. “We reached out to the family. We always did. We did in that case as well and offered all of the support that our office was able to give the family,” Harris said at the time. While speaking to the San Francisco Chronicle in May 2019, Harris said the part of the case she thinks about the most was whether she should have waited until after Espinoza’s funeral to announce she wasn’t seeking the death penalty. “Maybe it was a political novice mistake. I don’t know. Maybe it was the right thing to do but you got to take the heat for it,” she said at the time. Espinoza’s murderer, David Hill, is “grateful” for Harris’ decision. “It took a lot of courage and integrity to make a campaign promise like that – and then keep it,” Hill told CNN. “I’m forever grateful.”

Unemployment Rate Reaches Highest Point In Nearly 3 Years

The unemployment rate rose to 4.3% in July as fewer jobs were added to the economy than expected, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Friday.  The data showed that just 114,000 non-farm jobs were added last month, far less than the 185,000 expected by analysts. Unemployment reached its highest level since October 2021, and 0.8% higher than this time last year.  “The unemployment rate rose by 0.2 percentage point to 4.3 percent in July, and the number of unemployed people increased by 352,000 to 7.2 million,” the report said. “These measures are higher than a year earlier, when the jobless rate was 3.5 percent, and the number of unemployed people was 5.9 million.” According to the bureau, Hurricane Beryl, which made landfall in Texas on July 7, 2023, did not impact the weak showing. “Hurricane Beryl had no discernible effect on the national employment and unemployment data for July, and the response rates for the two surveys were within normal ranges,” the report said.   According to the statistics, unemployment increased mainly among men and white people.  “Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (4.0 percent) and Whites (3.8 percent) increased in July. The jobless rates for adult women (3.8 percent), teenagers (12.4 percent), Blacks (6.3 percent), Asians (3.7 percent), and Hispanics (5.3 percent) showed little or no change over the month,” the report said.  According to Heritage Foundation economist E.J. Antoni, native-born Americans have taken the brunt of the job losses over the last year.  “Over the last year, native-born Americans have LOST 1.2 million jobs while foreign-born employment has increased 1.3 million; we’re just swapping out American workers at this point, not growing the pie for everyone,” he said on Friday.  WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — MATT WALSH’S EXPOSÉ ON DEI The bureau said that employment increased in the healthcare, construction, transportation, and warehouse industries while jobs in the information industry declined. Fifty-five thousand jobs were gained in health care, 25,000 in construction, and 14,000 in transportation and warehousing, while information employment dropped 20,000.  The lackluster report prompted some lawmakers to express concerns that the economy would continue to trend in the wrong direction, with persistent inflation still hampering consumers.  “We must replace Kamalanomics with MAGAnomics if we want to avoid a recession! Choose wisely in November!” Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) said on Friday.

Et Tu, Jeff Bridges? The White Actors Who Gave Up Their Man Card On Kamala Zoom Call

Elections bring out the very worst in celebrities. Every four years we get a crush of videos demanding the plebes vote their way or it’s the end of democracy. In 2016 “Save the Day” gathered “Avengers” alum, including Robert Downey, Jr., to warn us that a Donald Trump presidency would be the end of everything (except energy independence, apparently). The worst might have been white Hollywood’s 2020 response to Black Lives Matter. The “I Take Reasonability” clip redefined cringe for a new generation, as white celebrities bowed down to the Identity Politics cult in serious, black-and-white confessions. Try looking at “Breaking Bad” alum Aaron Paul the same way after watching his portion of the video. So much White Privilege. Then again, what happened this week could technically be worse. “White Dudes for Kamala” fundraiser gathered some pretty famous faces to stump online for the vice president turned presidential candidate. They shared her litany of legislative success stories, leadership on protecting Americans from violent illegal immigrants and more. Just kidding. They played the gender and race cards against themselves. “Please don’t cancel me!” “We’re doing as we’re told!” The “dudes” in question? “Lord of the Rings” alum Sean Astin. Actor Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf the snowman. Singer Josh Groban. Comedian Paul Scheer of “The League” fame. And, shockingly, Jeff Bridges. Yes, that Jeff Bridges. Et tu, Dude? “I qualify, man. I’m white, I’m a dude, and I’m for Harris.” Yes, the level of intellectual gamesmanship soared off the charts during the exchange. How could it not, with Biden sycophant-turned-Harris sycophant Mark Hamill joining the fray. TODAY-Join me along w/Pete Buttigieg-Gov. Roy Cooper-Rep. Adam Schiff-Bradley Whitford-Jimmy Williams-David Hogg-George Goehl-Ben Wikler-Josh Gad-Jon Cooper-Rory O’Malley-Michael Kelly-Misha Collins-Scott Galloway-Josh Groban & countless others ALL dedicated to electing… pic.twitter.com/mt2QAzhjLP — Mark Hamill (@MarkHamill) July 29, 2024 The gathering may be atoning for their collective White Privilege, but their real privilege is economic. They all can survive the inflation surges sending millions of blue-collar Americans scurrying for cover on Harris’ watch. Their affluence protects them from soaring crime rates across the country, fueled by soft-on-crime Democrats like … Harris.  She’s gone on record supporting the Defund the Police program and free gender transitions for anyone seeking it, even convicted murderers. And are we even allowed to talk about her definitive role as President Joe Biden’s border czar? Bridges ignored all of the above. “I can see her being president … I’m so excited. A woman president, man. How exciting! And her championing of women’s rights, I’m for that.” Would “The Big Lebowski” star have voted for Nikki Haley? That’s rhetorical.  Has Harris stood up for women being pummeled by trans female athletes? That’s not rhetorical.  Astin leaned into the feminist card like a man cornered at a Women’s March. Harris is “…qualified, tested, proven woman into the presidency, so that all girls for all time can know that that’s possible.” Here’s betting parents can’t wait to share how Harris got her big start in politics. Just hope those girls are over 18 when they hear that story. “West Wing” alum Bradley Whitford clumsily threw President Barack Obama under the presidential bus with his hype game. He said he’s “never felt this kind of enthusiasm ever.” “Hope and change” is so 2008, apparently. Then again, perhaps replacing a “Weekend at Bernie’s” cosplayer with a deeply flawed candidate is just the euphoria Democrats craved. Gad delivered one of those scripted memories that not even Karine Jean-Pierre would buy in his “White Dudes” close-up. The actor says he “stood over my kids’ bed and I wept” when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016. “That feeling of dread, and that feeling of fear, and that feeling of shame is not something I’m ever willing or able to allow myself to feel again.” “And … cut! Love it, Josh … let’s take five.” "On Election Night 2016, I wept. We had a chance to have a female president." White Dudes For Harris meeting ? pic.twitter.com/ruNLshd5cr — End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) July 30, 2024 Once again, back to identity. Not intelligence, accomplishments or gravitas. Gender. The Harris agenda is simple and, potentially, successful. I am a woman who is both black and Native American. Those are my qualifications. Ignore my record, radical statements and lack of accomplishments on core issues like the U.S./Mexican border. Question me or my flip-flops and you’re a racist and a sexist. And don’t give it a second thought that I haven’t let journalists ask me, well, anything, since announcing my candidacy. Could Harris handle even softball queries at this point? Remember, President Biden turned down the Super Bowl of softball interviews. Twice. We all know why. And, after hearing Harris’ word-salad spinnings for three-plus years we think we get her press strategy. The White Dudes affair did give Americans some digital karma. X briefly suspended the White Dudes for Harris account on his platform. Not cool, but if you can’t see the “turnabout is fair play” angle you haven’t been paying attention. The old Twitter regime aggressively canceled conservatives, fought back against “misinformation” on COVID that turned out to be true and much more. The assembled White Dudes for Kamala said nothing about that, of course. They couldn’t man up then, and they sure aren’t manning up now. Just know the Elon Musk variation of “The Twitter Files” will be on a single sheaf of paper. More importantly, any GOP attempt to field a similar fundraiser for a minority Republican candidate will be greeted with endless references to Hitler and the KKK.

Civil Liberties Group Condemns Starmer’s Push for Facial Recognition

The civil liberties group Big Brother Watch has raised significant concerns over Labour leader Keir Starmer's recent push to deploy facial recognition cameras, allegedly using the pretext of recent anti-stabbing riots. The organization argues that the move represents a grave threat to privacy and civil liberties. Big Brother Watch, a prominent UK civil liberties advocacy group, has been vocal about the dangers of expanding facial recognition technology. In their recent reports, they highlighted that nearly 89% of matches by the Metropolitan Police and South Wales Police have been false positives. The technology has been particularly prone to misidentifying people of color, who are four times more likely to be scanned than their white counterparts. I’m angry about Starmer’s address tonight. His alarming pledge to roll out facial recognition in apparent response to recent disorder is a pledge to plunder more vital police resources on mass surveillance that threatens rather than protects democracy. pic.twitter.com/hFDqEAYM49 — Silkie Carlo (@silkiecarlo) August 1, 2024 The Labour Party, under Starmer's leadership, has been criticized for supporting the deployment of these technologies without comprehensive parliamentary debate or proper regulatory frameworks. Silkie Carlo, director of Big Brother Watch, stated that using facial recognition technology in public spaces amounts to a "stress test" on public tolerance for invasive surveillance measures. Carlo emphasized that this technology disproportionately affects minorities and could escalate tensions between the public and law enforcement. Recent incidents have illustrated these concerns. For example, in a deployment at Oxford Circus, two young black men were wrongfully stopped and detained by police using live facial recognition technology. These men were later released without charge, highlighting the technology's propensity for error and its potential for exacerbating social inequalities. How can people not see through this Starmer talking about facial recognition & tracking people People ignore that part & blame shift… ‘well what about the migrants’ Cue riling everyone up again Ffs ITS ALL STAGED! STOP BEING CLOWNS IN THEIR CIRCUS pic.twitter.com/tsUmbbaRhq — Muffy (@MuffyDeadinside) August 1, 2024 Moreover, the potential misuse of facial recognition extends beyond policing. A Big Brother Watch report uncovered that private companies and schools have also adopted facial recognition technology, often without adequate oversight or consent. This includes instances where supermarkets and other retailers use the technology to track and identify customers, sometimes leading to wrongful accusations of theft or other crimes. The civil liberties group is urging the government to halt the use of live facial recognition until a thorough review and proper legal safeguards are established. They warn that unchecked surveillance capabilities could lead the UK down a path similar to high-tech surveillance states like China and Russia. The call to action has garnered support from over 180 tech experts and organizations, emphasizing the urgent need to address the civil liberties implications of this technology. Big Brother Watch continues to campaign for stronger privacy protections and against the unchecked expansion of surveillance technologies. Their efforts include lobbying Parliament, organizing public petitions, and raising awareness through media campaigns. The group insists that any use of biometric surveillance must be transparently regulated and accountable to prevent abuse and protect individual freedoms. Simone Biles’ Husband Shares Cleverly Photoshopped Pic To Celebrate Her Historic 8th Olympic Medal

Simone Biles’ husband is taking “making history” to a whole new level with his clever Instagram story. Jonathan Owens visited the Louvre Museum in Paris the other day and thought that he would add his wife to the wall of history with a cleverly photoshopped picture. Instagram The Chicago Bears safety decided to show support for his wife and her incredible achievements by adding a pic of her jumping mid-air into one of the museum’s frames. This photoshopped photo pays tribute to Biles’s making history on Tuesday. By winning an eighth medal, Simone Biles became the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast of all time. The Dream Team Simone Biles and her husband really do seem like a match made in heaven. The two have been married for just over a year. And it seems that Jonathan is one of her biggest cheerleaders. He recently shared several posts on his Instagram that sang her praises. One of which shows him kissing Simone while holding a large cut out of her face. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jonathan Owens (@jowens) His caption reads: “No words can describe how proud of you I am baby Just knowing all the work that you put in and everything that you’ve been through, and to still come back and be as dominant as ever, I was speechless. I’m so thankful to be apart of this journey with you, and I can’t wait to be able to watch you out there in Paris. I’m so happy for you babe!!!! Cheers to going to your third Olympic Games!!!!!! Just sounds so surreal being able to say my wife is the best to EVER do it. How did I get so lucky? I love you so much ” The athlete has other adorable photos of Simone as well. Like one of them in matching Team USA pajamas with the caption, “No, we ain’t perfect, but we damn close.” The most recent post of his hunny features the two standing side by side, with Jonathan showing off Biles’ new bling. His caption to that post reads, “Witnessing history every time you step on the mat Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful I was there to see it ” One thing is for certain: This photoshopped photo and all of his loving posts prove that Simone Biles’ husband is her number one fan.
