Biden Campaign Ad Accusing Trump of Sexual Assault Backfires

In the world of whiz-bang stupidity, the Biden campaign has released an anti-Trump ad in which it accuses Trump of being “found liable for sexual assault.” Which brings instantly to the fore the hard fact that Joe Biden himself has been seriously accused of sexual assault. That accusation, recall, came from ex-Biden Senate staffer Tara Reade, as noted here in the day by the New York Times in 2020. The Times reported it this way: The former aide, Tara Reade, who briefly worked as a staff assistant in Mr. Biden’s Senate office, told The New York Times that in 1993, Mr. Biden pinned her to a wall in a Senate building, reached under her clothing and penetrated her with his fingers. A friend said that Ms. Reade told her the details of the allegation at the time. Another friend and a brother of Ms. Reade’s said she told them over the years about a traumatic sexual incident involving Mr. Biden. That, of course, is sexual assault. Hoping Americans will forget about the hard fact that Biden has himself been accused in stark detail of sexual assault by former Senate staffer Reade, the Biden campaign has released, per Politico, a “$50 million June ad buy” accusing former President Trump of being liable for sexual assault. Opening the door instantly for bringing Tara Reade’s accusation of sexual assault by Biden back into the spotlight, this time in the 2024 campaign. A campaign where Biden is already repeatedly trailing in the polls to former President Trump. One can only ask: Who are the wizards of campaign smarts in the Biden camp that decided it was a great idea to bring Reade’s accusation of sexual assault by a former Biden staffer, Reade, back into the spotlight? This would be called self-sabotage. Accusing Trump of what Biden himself has been accused — and making certain that the public would be reminded of Biden’s accused sexual assault conduct. Not to mention it raises the larger question of just how competent is not just the Biden campaign but the Biden White House. When it comes to that, the obvious answer is that a president who repeatedly missteps — frequently literally to the point of falling — is decidedly not the candidate to elect for a second four-year term in the Oval Office. (READ MORE: Is Biden’s Dementia Just Russian Disinformation?) Recall Biden’s allowing a flood of illegal immigrants into the U.S., resulting in headlines like this one in the New York Post:  Rachel Morin murder: Illegal immigrant from El Salvador charged in rape, killing of Maryland mom-of-5 Or in the world of U.S. foreign policy, recall Biden inducing Russia’s Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine or Hamas to invade Israel or, in domestic policy, setting the economy aflame with inflation and a rise in joblessness — the Biden record is repeatedly swamped with vivid images of incompetence in both foreign and domestic policy. Indeed, as this is written, the BBC headlines: Defiant Putin taunts West as Russia eyes ‘deep relations’ with North Korea The BBC story reports: By visiting North Korea, Mr Putin can simply demonstrate to his detractors that he can — and will — do what he wants.… Ever since President Putin ordered troops into neighboring Ukraine, he has pushed the idea that the West’s dominance is on the way out — and has courted those who agree with him or are at least open to that philosophy. At a recent economic forum in St. Petersburg, it’s no accident one of Mr Putin’s key guests was the president of Zimbabwe — another country to have felt the keen sting of sanctions. And Russia has been falling over itself to show that it has many friends around the world that sing from the same hymn sheet. From Asia, Latin America, Africa — anyone disenchanted with the ways of a US-led world is welcome. All of this results from the utter incompetence and stupidity of Biden and company. The same people responsible for this new $50 million Biden campaign ad that instantly self-sabotages by calling attention to Biden’s own quite vivid accusation of sexual assault by his own ex-staffer. (READ MORE: They’ll Try To Steal It. They Have To. ) So what do we have here? What we have is a $50 million campaign ad from the Biden campaign that effectively advertises Biden’s own problem with an accusation of sexual assault. Ya can’t make it up. A Prayer for Turning Over Fear of Losing a Loved One – Your Daily Prayer – June 18

A Prayer for Turning Over Fear of Losing a Loved One By Heidi Vegh "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." – 1 John 4:18 The thought of losing someone we love can be all-consuming. We think about the loss and how much it would hurt, and we cringe. We let worry take over our hearts that tragedy could strike at any moment. We hear stories about fluke accidents that take children or spouses too soon. We witness friends and family and strangers in the news face devastating loss and feel extreme relief that it is not us, but we fear that one day it will be. We believe the lie that if that happened to us, we could not survive. We feel as though we would fall over dead at the news of such profound loss.  Living in these fears is a strategic tactic of the enemy to steal our joy. The enemy’s sole agenda is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). He wants us tangled up in worry and consumed with thoughts of the worst. He wants us lost in fear so much that we can’t enjoy the precious moments with the people around us. When these thoughts consume us, we must take them to the Lord. We must rebuke the enemy’s lies and ask God to fill us with a peace that only He can provide. Jesus offers a peace that runs so deep that we can say, “Even if” the worst happens, I will be ok, and God will never leave me or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). When we can allow ourselves to get through the worst-case scenario and imagine ourselves on the other side, that is where we can find peace.  This means completely surrendering our fears to the Lord. Completely surrendering our loved ones. We trust that He will meet us in that deep pain and give us the strength to survive the loss and watch Him work it all for good. (Romans 8:28). I witnessed this firsthand when I watched my husband die from cancer at thirty-three, leaving me alone with two small children. Over the last decade, I have seen miracle after miracle as God has given me the strength and ability to rebuild my life. I can see God’s hand working in all the grief and pain, bringing me to the other side. This is not to say that I don’t still grieve my loss and suffer its consequences, but God has shown up so powerfully in my life that I can’t deny His presence with me every step of the way.  Let’s pray: Lord, please protect the people that I love most. Protect their bodies, minds, and hearts. Protect them from disease, accidents, and injury. Surround them with a legion of angels. But even as I pray, Lord, I am afraid. I am so scared of losing the people that I love the most. The fear consumes me, and worry overtakes my thoughts. I need your peace, Lord. I need to trust you even if the worst-case scenario becomes a reality. Please help me know you better, trust you more, and live a life free of fear. I want to live in your perfect love, a love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18). I want to live a joy-filled life filled with purpose and enjoyment. I rebuke the enemy who wants to steal the time that I do have with my loved ones. I rebuke the fear that grips me. I rebuke the lies that I could not survive the loss. I rebuke the idea that I would crumble and my life would turn to shambles if I lost a loved one. I trust that even if I lose a loved one, you will work it for your good, ultimately bringing beauty from ashes and flowing streams of living water in the deserts. I chose to live in your peace and joy today. I chose you over fear, and I chose today your promises over the lies of the enemy. In your precious name, we pray, Jesus, amen. How to Experience Joy in Any Circumstance – Senior Living – June 18

How to experience joy in any circumstance June 16 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:2 In 1858, the Illinois State Legislature used an obscure statute to send Stephen A. Douglas to the U.S. Senate instead of the winner of the election, Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was obviously devastated, and was asked by a sympathetic friend to put his feelings into words. "I feel like the boy who stubbed his toe," Lincoln remarked. "I'm too big to cry and too badly hurt to laugh." Emotional pain can be crippling. And oftentimes, our first instinct is to suppress our emotions and go about our day as if nothing has happened. Then one day turns into another, until eventually that same pain has become suppressed for so long that it roots itself deeply into your mind and creates mistrust, bitterness, and ultimately, robs you of the joy God wants you to have. The answer to emotional pain is to instead find an outlet for it. That doesn't mean unleashing your emotions in a tirade of tears and anger. No, it means finding a healthy way to express your emotions, processing them with a trusted friend by opening up and allowing them to bear your burdens with you. Don't stuff your emotions. Let them out in a healthy way among people your trust. When you do, you'll put yourself on the path to experiencing joy in all circumstances! Prayer Challenge Pray that God would give you wisdom in letting your emotions go at the right time, place, and with the right people. Questions for Thought Why do you believe many people would rather stuff their emotions down than let them out in a healthy way? What emotions are you processing today that you can let out so you can experience greater joy?
