Trump Ends ‘Equity’ In Federal Hiring, Promises To Only Focus On Merit

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday to overhaul the federal hiring process and prioritize merit, making “equity” no longer an acceptable purpose for hiring someone.  Trump signed the order which says that the government will now prioritize hiring based on skills, experience and patriotism and not things like “equity.” The executive order was one of the many signed by Trump his first day back to reverse policies put in place by President Joe Biden and implement reform.  “This is a big deal. Merit. Our country’s going to be based on merit again, can you believe it?” Trump said as he signed the executive order.  ? They no longer focus on merit, practical skill, and dedication to our Constitution.” The order also stipulates that “equity” will no longer be a basis of hiring.  “Federal hiring should not be based on impermissible factors, such as one’s commitment to illegal racial discrimination under the guise of “equity,” or one’s commitment to the invented concept of ‘gender identity’ over sex,” the order adds.  “Inserting such factors into the hiring process subverts the will of the People, puts critical government functions at risk, and risks losing the best-qualified candidates.” A fact sheet on the executive order  shared with The Daily Wire reveals that the White House believes that the government “will better serve the needs of the American people,” by prioritizing federal hiring on skills, experience, and patriotism, not commitment to radical ideologies.” CELEBRATE #47 WITH 47% OFF DAILYWIRE+ MEMBERSHIPS + A FREE $20 GIFT The executive order means that the Trump administration will develop a plan to hire individuals committed to the Constitution, the rule of law, American values, the ideals of our Republic, and the will of the People, based on merit.” This plan will include modernizing the current “outdated” hiring process in order for agencies to be better able to recruit candidates. This will include utilizing “technology to improve hiring and communication with candidates” and reducing time-to-hire by “prioritizing skills-based hiring and reducing reliance on ineffective assessments.” The White House said that “fixing the hiring process” and focusing on merit “will best serve America and respect the will of the People.” “President Trump promised the American people a government that is more efficient and effective, and that he would end the weaponization of government against the American people,” the fact sheet said. Trump has promised to bring accountability and reform to the White House, saying that he will end the weaponization of the federal government.

Trump-Vance Team Releases Pictures, Details About Trump Oval Office 2.0

President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance’s team released pictures and details about the changes to the newly redecorated Oval Office for Trump’s second administration. In the Wall Street Journal piece published on Monday, one picture showed that Trump’s Oval Office 2.0 included a fresh Andrew Jackson painting which hails from the White House art collection, along with a portrait of Benjamin Franklin, which former President Joe Biden had added to the Oval Office, which Trump has opted to keep. Under Jackson’s painting is the return of the sculpture called “the Bronco Buster” by Frederic Remington, which was also part of Trump’s first presidency. It is all part of the redecorating of the Oval Office done by each president — which takes place within hours of the former administration and president’s departure and before the newly sworn-in leader and his staff arrive. One White House aide told the WSJ that by 10:58 a.m., the blue rug that Biden used had been swapped out for the more neutral one previously used by Trump. However, it was so large that part of the massive Resolute Desk had to be taken apart so the rug could be placed under it. CELEBRATE #47 WITH 47% OFF DAILYWIRE+ MEMBERSHIPS + A FREE $20 GIFT New silver eagle figures now rest over the mantel as part of the fireplace along with the return of flags for each branch of our military, previously removed by Biden. Trump has also once again returned the bust of Winston Churchill to the Oval Office where it rests on a table close to the fireplace. There is also a bust of Martin Luther King Jr. which Trump and Biden alike displayed in the office during their presidency. HEADLINE: “Inside Trump’s Oval Office — Version 2.0” SUB HEADLINE: “Spoiler alert: The Diet Coke button is back.” NEW look at the Trump @WhiteHouse from @WSJ here —> https://t.co/ni6PaP87GT pic.twitter.com/FG0Nmy1pk1 — Amanda Head (@AmandaHead) January 20, 2025 There was of course the usual sight for a president’s first day in office, which was a tray of black pens on the Resolute Desk that the president used to sign a whole host of executive orders, just hours after he was sworn-in as the 47th President of the United States. What hasn’t changed from Trump’s first Oval Office decor was the hanging of portraits of Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson along with a portrait of George Washington which hangs over the fireplace. And of course the unusual addition to any office, the return of the Diet Coke valet button on the Resolute Desk that Trump used previously to order his favorite beverage. Typically presidents bring their own special touch to each Oval Office, like former President Barack Obama having a bowl of apples available on the coffee table near the fireplace. On Monday, that table included the addition of a square gold paperweight embossed with the word Trump on it and a bouquet of flowers. CNN, Going for Their Next Defamation Lawsuit, Smear Elon Musk as a Nazi

CNN, Going for Their Next Defamation Lawsuit, Smear Elon Musk as a Nazi

After watching CNN anchors Erin Burnett and Kasie Hunt all but call SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk a Nazi, one thing was glaringly evident. CNN has learned absolutely nothing after just losing a major defamation lawsuit. Watch as Burnett and Hunt get to working on losing CNN their next billion dollars (click “expand” if you want to follow along with the transcript): CNN's Erin Burnett and Kasie Hunt omit @elonmusk saying "I'm giving you my heart" after greeting the crowd, failing the "smear @elonmusk as a Nazi without saying Nazi so as to avoid another defamation lawsuit" challenge pic.twitter.com/3Pd0mHO7DE — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) January 20, 2025 CNN 2025 PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION 1/20/25 2:56 PM ERIN BURNETT: All right, Elon Musk is speaking behind me in this room, Kasie. And you have everyone standing. Everyone here is still standing. Standing ovation for Elon Musk. By far the biggest reception of the day. You saw him come out with that odd looking salute. KASIE HUNT: Yeah. BURNETT: It was odd looking. We're going to show a screen grab of it. And as he said to him, the future of civilization is assured now that Trump won. One of his rousing lines for this crowd. HUNT: One of his rousing lines, indeed, yes. That salute was evocative of things that we have seen through history, and of course, we do want to bring it up to be able to take a little bit of a closer look. But I think it's worth noting that Elon Musk has started to play in politics, not just here in the United States, but across Europe as well, including a far right party in Germany that he has pushed. He has, of course, pressured Keir Starmer, the prime minister in the United Kingdom. This is something- there are some themes here for him. And as we heard here, his ambitions are sweeping. He came in- he said “this is what winning feels like.” He also says “we're going to take DOGE to Mars.” That, of course, an ambition of his- of his entire life. I do find it interesting that he's touting government spending on the one hand. What got us to the moon and what's going to get us to Mars is going to be government money. We should be clear about that. BURNETT: So, yeah, it- it- it absolutely will be. As it…so- just to look at this again, this crowd, every single person here is paying attention, and they are fully engaged. He is a hero. He is a hero to them. I just want to look at that salute that he gave. Again, just if anybody missed it, we'll just show it again. He’s just wrapped up here. You can hear the- there. All right, so we just- we just showed that. We just showed that…salute. HUNT: Right. It’s worth noting it was quick. I think our viewers are smart, and they can take a look at that, but it certainly was -- it's not something that you typically see at American political rallies. Put it that way, BURNETT: No, no, it is not something that you usually would see. And it was quick, as you point out. It was very quick, but it was in a moment of intensity for him as it came out of dancing and then he did that. Do take note of the contortions that Burnett and Hunt go through in order to say “Nazi” without actually saying “Nazi.” They point out the following, in order: The “salute” is “odd-looking” and “evocative of things that we have seen throughout history.” What things? It is at this point that Hunt helpfully points out that Musk has stated support for Alternative for Germany (AfD), which she calls “a far-right party.” So, weird “salute” and German far-right, clumsily strung together. Burnett then further expounds on the weirdness of the “salute” before Hunt points out that it is not often seen at American political rallies.  Except that it is not a “salute”, and never was. Elon was exuberantly gesturing affection to those present at the Inaugural Parade. We know this because CNN aired Elon’s speech and gesture in its full context. And it is in that context that we see Elon’s gesture of affection in its entirety, a minute before Buenett and Hunt cut away from the speech in order to levy a Nazi smear bolstered by a video portion clipped out of context. Viewed in its full context, the CNN exchange on @elonmusk seems even MORE defamatory. The "sending you my heart" moment happened a minute before they cut into the speech in order to do their Nazi smear. https://t.co/cw5YdbYDdg pic.twitter.com/OIqUKCmvtA — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) January 21, 2025 In addition to not learning anything and exposing CNN to the next potential billion-dollar punitive damages award, Burnett and Hunt demonstrate the speed with which the media shifted…from Regime to Resistance.

Trump tosses pens to audience after signing executive orders on climate change, free speech, inflation, and others

Newly inaugurated President Donald Trump made good on his promise to issue a number of executive orders on the first day of his second term in office. The president signed the orders in front of a large audience at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., after he was sworn in. 'With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense.' At one moment, someone in the audience yelled at the president, asking for a pen, and he took the moment to start tossing the pens out to his supporters, who exploded with applause. Trump signed nine executive orders, including those that would pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement, freeze most federal employee hiring except for the military, and require that federal workers return to full-time, in-person work. Other orders called for the cessation of censorship in favor of free speech, called for the end of “weaponization of government against the political adversaries of the previous administration," and directed government departments to address inflation. Former vice president and climate advocate Al Gore responded to Trump's order to pull out of the Paris climate agreement. "These performative acts show the pervasive influence that the fossil fuel industry will have in the United States over the next four years. But make no mistake, the global Sustainability Revolution is unstoppable," he wrote in a long statement on social media. "If the new Administration won’t lead on this issue, it is up to all of us," he added. "Now is the time for Governors, Mayors, business leaders, investors, and activists to put their heads down and do the work that will advance the climate solutions our nation and the world so urgently need."Trump also halted 78 executive actions issued by Biden as well as prevented bureaucrats from issuing new regulations. Officials said that the president would sign more executive orders once he left the arena and arrived at the White House. Trump has said that he will end birthright citizenship as well as free some of the prisoners held on charges related to the rioting at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Other orders may reinstitute the "remain in Mexico" policy on immigrant asylum-seekers and also end diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. "With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense," Trump said during his inauguration address. "It’s all about common sense." Like Blaze News? Jan. 6 nightmare over for 1,500 Americans as Trump issues pardons, commutations

Jan. 6 nightmare over for 1,500 Americans as Trump issues pardons, commutations

More than 1,500 Americans are celebrating the end of a prosecutorial nightmare now that President Donald Trump has pardoned or commuted the sentences of those charged with offenses related to the protest at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.On Monday evening, just a few hours after taking the oath of office for the second time in eight years, Trump issued a "full, complete and unconditional" blanket pardon for most Jan. 6 defendants, whom Trump called political "hostages." Those who will benefit from such a pardon number more than 1,500, according to estimates.'This proclamation ... begins a process of national reconciliation.'Additionally, Trump commuted the sentences of 14 other Jan. 6 convicts, meaning they still retain their convictions but are sentenced to time served. Those individuals are Stewart Rhodes, Kelly Meggs, Kenneth Harrelson, Thomas Caldwell, Jessica Watkins, Roberto Minuta, Edward Vallejo, David Moerschel, Joseph Hackett, Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, Dominic Pezzola, and Jeremy Bertino."This proclamation ends a grave national injustice that has been perpetrated upon the American people over the last four years and begins a process of national reconciliation," read a proclamation from the White House. The proclamation also orders the attorney general to ensure the immediate release of any Jan. 6 inmates currently in custody and "to pursue dismissal with prejudice to the government of all pending indictments against individuals for their conduct related to the events at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021."Among those with pending indictments is Blaze News investigative reporter Steve Baker. Baker described himself as "emotional" about the potential end to the ruthless prosecution against him."They intended to destroy my life," Baker said. "They weren't capable of doing that. They did not do that."Despite the harrowing ordeal he has endured and many sleepless nights, Baker still considers himself one of the lucky ones. "So many others lost everything," Baker explained. These people lost their homes, their freedom, and their livelihoods for merely walking "through an open door in the Capitol on January 6," he said. — (@) Though Trump's proclamation will bring many J6ers' legal troubles to a swift end, questions still linger about some of the victims of what Baker described as "the weaponization of the Biden DOJ." For instance, at least some of those who received commuted sentences have already served those same sentences, so the commutation does them little good. Trump has already stated that he is open to revisiting these cases and, if warranted, upgrading some to full pardons.Another issue relates to those with pending indictments. As Trump has ordered his attorney general, who has not yet taken office, to "pursue dismissal," it's unclear what would happen if judges refuse to cooperate.Like Blaze News?
