A mysterious iOS 18 AI feature mightve just leaked: Safari Browsing Assistant

Apple is widely expected to add several generative AI features to the iPhone via the upcoming iOS 18 update. Rumors point to both on-device and cloud-based AI features coming to iPhones. The iPhone 16 models might get exclusive AI tricks that could make use of the new A-series chips‚ so they won';t be available on older iPhone models.Whether the company partners with Google for Gemini cloud AI processing or a different third party‚ Apple will likely try to match what';s available from competing smartphones in terms of genAI features. It';s also very likely that Apple will put its own spin on some of the AI features coming to the iPhone to differentiate itself from rivals.Nothing is confirmed at the moment. But Apple did say multiple times that it';s taking generative AI seriously‚ teasing announcements for later this year. Separately‚ Apple researchers have published various papers detailing the company';s various AI advancements. With that sort of background information‚ nobody would blame you if you think Safari Browsing Assistant is some sort of new AI feature that Apple might have devised for iOS 18‚ especially now. We';re about two months away from WWDC 2024. That';s where Apple will reveal most of the AI features it can talk about without spoiling iPhone 16 secrets.Continue reading...The post A mysterious iOS 18 AI feature mightve just leaked: Safari Browsing Assistant appeared first on BGR.Today';s Top DealsTodays deals: $199 Meta Quest 2‚ $19 Apple AirTags‚ $699 M1 MacBook Air‚ $500 Moto Razr‚ moreBest Apple deals for April 2024Todays deals: $189 AirPods Pro‚ $6 Kasa smart bulbs‚ Samsung foldables from $899‚ Hersheys candy‚ moreTodays deals: $20 Amazon credit‚ $199 Meta Quest 2‚ $3.75 smart plugs‚ Braun electric razors‚ more

All Google Photos users will get AI editing features for free

Google on Wednesday announced a big AI upgrade for Google Photos. All the AI editing features that were previously exclusive to phones like the Pixel 8 series will be available to every Google Photos user for free. The extended support includes Android and iPhone users‚ although some minimum hardware restrictions might prevent some older phone models from accessing a few features. If you own a relatively new Android phone or iPhone‚ you should be able to use features like Magic Eraser‚ Photo Unblur‚ and Portrait Light. Best of all‚ you don';t need to pay for a Google One subscription to access these AI features. The more advanced AI editing feature that Google introduced last year will have some limitations. For example‚ youll get 10 Magic Editor saves per month. Anything exceeding that figure will require a Premium Google One plan of at least 2TB of cloud storage.Continue reading...The post All Google Photos users will get AI editing features for free appeared first on BGR.Today';s Top DealsTodays deals: Free Samsung 65 TV‚ $6 Kasa smart LED bulbs‚ $299 3D printer‚ Dyson V11 stick vacuum‚ moreTodays deals: $170 Roomba‚ LG OLED TVs‚ $498 Apple Watch Ultra‚ $14 Govee LED light strip‚ moreTodays deals: $19 AirTags‚ solar eclipse glasses‚ $199 AirPods Pro 2‚ Keurig coffee makers‚ moreBest Echo Dot deals for April 2024

Every single iPhone user should have this simple accessory

Apple';s next-generation MagSafe charging technology was first introduced on the iPhone 12 back in 2020. Since then‚ it has spawned a whole new category of accessories because people love it so much. That includes portable battery chargers‚ and one of the most popular models is an Anker MagSafe battery pack that';s currently on sale. At these prices‚ every iPhone owner should have one to help make sure that they never run out of juice. The Anker 622 MagGo magnetic battery pack retails for $70‚ which is already $29 less than Apple';s own MagSafe Battery Pack. Plus‚ Apple';s MagSafe pack was removed from the Apple store last year‚ and it';s out of stock most places. Instead‚ get the Anker model while it';s on sale with a huge discount that drops it to just $39.99. That';s a terrific price‚ and the previous-generation Anker 621 MagGo battery pack is on sale for just $31.99. Or‚ if you don';t mind some added thickness‚ the Anker 334 MagGo battery pack with double the capacity is available for $39.99.Anker Magnetic Battery‚ 5‚000mAh Foldable Magnetic Wireless Portable Charger with Stand and USBPrice: $39.99You Save: $30.00 (43%)Buy NowAnker Magnetic Portable Charger‚ 5‚000mAh Wireless Portable Charger with USB-C Cable‚ Battery PPrice: $31.99 (reg. $60)Buy NowAnker Magnetic Power Bank 10‚000mAh‚ Wireless Portable Charger‚ 20W Fast Charging Battery PackPrice: $39.99 (reg. $45)Buy NowAs a longtime iPhone user‚ MagSafe is definitely one of my favorite convenience features. Instead of fumbling with charger cables‚ MagSafe lets you simply slap a magnetic disc onto the back of your iPhone. Or‚ in the case of portable chargers‚ you can just pop a battery pack onto the back of your phone instead of having to plug in a bulky battery pack with a cable.MagSafe uses wireless charging‚ but it';s better than a regular Qi wireless charger. That';s because you don';t have to worry about aligning the coils. MagSafe aligns itself thanks to a special magnetic disc for a perfect connection every time‚ yet it';s just as easy to remove. When it comes to portable charging‚ Apple introduced its own MagSafe Battery Pack that works great. Unfortunately‚ as is the case with most Apple accessories‚ it';s also very expensive. This model retails for $99‚ and discounts are typically very small not that it matters right now‚ since it';s sold out in most online stores.Meanwhile‚ rival offerings from top brands like Anker cost way less. And that';s especially true right now.Anker Magnetic Battery‚ 5‚000mAh Foldable Magnetic Wireless Portable Charger with Stand and USBPrice: $39.99You Save: $30.00 (43%)Buy NowThe Anker 622 MagGo magnetic battery pack is one of my favorite portable iPhone chargers. I personally use it all the time. I';ve tested several other MagSafe battery packs‚ including Apple';s‚ but I chose the Anker version for a few main reasons.First‚ it obviously comes from a very reliable brand. Everyone knows that Anker is the best of the best when it comes to charging accessories‚ so I don';t have to worry about it breaking after a few months.Second‚ the Anker 622 MagGo has a nifty foldable cover built right in. You can use it as a kickstand while you';re sitting at a desk or table‚ so your iPhone is standing up instead of lying flat. It';s obviously much easier to see the screen that way.And finally‚ we come to price. While Apple';s MagSafe battery pack sells for $99‚ the Anker 622 MagGo magnetic battery pack has a retail price of $70. It gets discounted fairly often‚ though‚ and it';s currently on sale for $39.99.Anker Magnetic Portable Charger‚ 5‚000mAh Wireless Portable Charger with USB-C Cable‚ Battery PPrice: $31.99 (reg. $60)Buy NowAnker Magnetic Power Bank 10‚000mAh‚ Wireless Portable Charger‚ 20W Fast Charging Battery PackPrice: $39.99 (reg. $45)Buy NowAnyone looking for a slightly thinner model should take advantage of Amazon';s sale on the Anker 621 MagGo instead. It has the same 5‚000 mAh capacity‚ but it has a different design without the integrated kickstand. The 621 model is on sale for $31.99.Finally‚ the Anker 334 MagGo battery pack has a newly-lowered MSRP of $39.99. This model has double the capacity at 10‚000 mAh‚ but it';s obviously also much thicker than the 621 and 622.Don';t Miss: Todays deals: $20 Amazon credit‚ $4 smart plugs‚ $20 Wyze Cam‚ All-Clad cookware‚ COSORI air fryer‚ moreThe post Every single iPhone user should have this simple accessory appeared first on BGR.Today';s Top DealsTodays deals: $40 Magic Pop Mic‚ $189 Apple Watch SE‚ Philips Sonicare sale‚ GoPro‚ video games‚ moreTodays deals: HP &;amp; Lenovo laptops‚ $18 Echo Pop‚ Lexar memory sale‚ Funko Pop toys‚ Shark vacuums‚ moreBest deals: Tech‚ laptops‚ TVs‚ and more salesTodays deals: $20 Amazon credit‚ $4 smart plugs‚ $20 Wyze Cam‚ All-Clad cookware‚ COSORI air fryer‚ more

A new study has offered a fresh perspective on the enigmatic petroglyphs discovered at Toro Muerto in the Peruvian coastal desert.
