Fitness Guru Richard Simmons died on July 13, 2024, just a day after his 76th birthday. Once a ubiquitous character in the world of health and exercise, he walked away from the spotlight in February 2014 to enjoy a slower-paced life. Richard Meant Many Things To Many People Richard was always quick with a word of encouragement and had planned an inspirational post for July 14, the day after his death. His staff shared this message on Facebook. “Hello everyone. Richard worked very hard on his posts for you. He had many ideas and would work ahead… going back to each one making changes until he had it just like he wanted before posting,” his staff wrote. “As you know, on the weekends, he would just share a photo with a caption. He always chose his photos and wrote his captions for the upcoming weekend by Friday.  So we have the post Richard planned to share with you last Sunday. We thought you’d want to see it. “ “Let me fly you to the moon so we can gaze among the stars.  Love, Richard,” the planned post reads. It seems fitting that Richard’s final message seemed to be a sign from heaven that he was OK.
