Clown Time! Justice Sotomayor Cries When She Loses

Three constitutionalist Justices can bring Justice Sotomayor to tears when she loses. She said that when she knows she is right (she’s a leftist), she goes into her office, closes the door, and cries. The left hasn’t had to deal with differing opinions for a long time, and now we have three justices who aren’t […] The post Clown Time! New Documents Reveal Plans to Continue Election Censorship into 2024

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. A lot of logical and reasonable things have been turned on their head over the last years of unprecedented, politically-driven censorship, and so the latest revelations about the policy of the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) could be summed up as, “better sorry than safe.” Namely, new documents show that despite not knowing – and admitting to not knowing – if their highly divisive and controversial “anti-disinformation” efforts actually work, this coalition brought together thanks to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) pressed on with plans to extend that censorship push into the 2024 election year. EIP was established about three months before the 2020 presidential ballot in the US, and engaged in flagging speech on social media, declaratively with the goal of removing election-related misinformation. The new documents unearthed by Matt Taibbi (of the Twitter Files) show that, despite the turmoil around that election that was in no small part tied to “fact-checkers” and the like, but also the government’s (indirect) involvement, EIP planned to continue its “mission.” That included the 2022 midterm elections, and the upcoming 2024 presidential vote, an email from Alex Stamos to Kate Starbird, dated September 2022, reveals. A previous email from Stamos to Renee DiRiesta concerned an idea to ask the National Science Foundation for funds for future collaborations regarding vaccine information, with the language implying this censorship effort was already underway. It’s interesting to note that all three “characters” mentioned here were involved in EIP as university researchers, but that Stamos was in the past a Facebook exec, who in early 2021 started a business venture with former CISA Director Chris Krebs. That same year, Starbird was worried that the new, Biden administration might engage in “combating disinformation” in an (overly) partisan manner, and warned against, essentially, the optics of it (meaning, recommending that there should be no “disinformation czars”). But even after a huge amount of content was successfully, censorship-wise, labeled and suppressed in 2020, in April of the following year, Starbird wrote, “We still have very little evidence about what works.” Starbird had little faith as to how effective “prebunking” and “media literacy” campaigns were, either, calling the conclusions “unclear.” Get Taibbi’s post on Racket News here. Senator Kennedy Slams Media After Op-Ed on Trans Athletes Is Secretly Deleted

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Several newspapers in Louisiana, part of the Gannett-owned USA Today network, quietly deleted an op-ed by Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., on transgender athletes without informing him. The piece criticized the inclusion of biological men in women’s sports and was deemed “inflammatory” and not in line with company standards, as per communications reviewed by Fox News. Gannett’s Opinion Editor and Vice President of Standards and Ethics, Michael McCarter, defended the removal of Kennedy’s op-ed. McCarter stated, “The opinion teams across the USA TODAY Network are focused on delivering local, timely, relevant, and diverse opinion pieces. We recognize the importance of sharing varying perspectives and the vital role we play in convening conversations. Sen. John Kennedy’s submitted opinion column did not meet our ethical guidelines, which state we will treat people with respect. After further review, our editorial team removed the column from our website. Sen. Kennedy has been given the opportunity to revise his language – not his viewpoint – to adhere with our standards.” Upon being contacted by Fox News Digital for a comment, Gannett added a disclaimer to the broken links, indicating that the content had been removed for not meeting editorial standards. In response, Kennedy expressed his dissatisfaction to Fox News Digital, stating, “USA TODAY Network apparently does not like the way I express myself. They think they are the speech police. Drunk on certainty and virtue, they think they are our moral teacher. This attitude is why so many Americans have lost confidence in the media. The media is not going to win that trust back until they return to neutrality instead of advocacy.” Kennedy’s op-ed, titled “Is transgender inclusion more important than women’s sports?” was published on May 11 in eight Louisiana-based papers. The piece began with an analogy involving New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson playing in a youth league, highlighting the physical advantages of biological men over women in sports. Kennedy argued that allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports undermines fairness and safety for female athletes. The op-ed, which outlined the physical differences between men and women and cited examples of trans athletes in women’s sports, was initially published without issue. However, by May 14, Kennedy’s office discovered the links to the op-ed were broken. Attempts to get clarity from Gannett were initially met with vague responses, but eventually, Kennedy’s office was told that the piece was removed for containing “inflammatory speech.” If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray dies at 30, one day after withdrawing from tournament over 'illness'

Professional golfer Grayson Murray died on Saturday morning, just one day after withdrawing from a tournament over an "illness." The two-time PGA Tour winner was only 30. "We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA Tour player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words," PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan stated. "The PGA Tour is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones."Monahan added, "I reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play. They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes."One day before his sudden death, Murray withdrew from the second round of the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge. Murray had played 16 holes in the second round Charles Schwab Challenge before withdrawing due to an "illness."Murray shot a 2-under 68 on Thursday, but was 5-over on Friday’s round at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. He withdrew from the tournament due to an undisclosed illness with two holes remaining. No details have been provided about Murray's cause of death. As a teen, Murray won three consecutive Callaway Junior World Championships and was the top-ranked golfer in his age group. At age 16, Murray was the second-youngest golfer in history to make the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour. Murray's pro golf career started in 2015 and was an immediate success. He won the 2017 Barbasol Championship while just a 23-year-old rookie. Murray won his second PGA Tour title at this year's Sony Open in Hawaii. Murray had been open with battles with alcoholism. "Yes, I would drink during tournament weeks," Murray said after his Sony Open win in January, according to CBS Sports. "It was my outlet. I thought I was invincible coming out here as a 22-year-old, winning as a rookie, played three days hungover when I won. Best thing and worst thing that ever happened to me was winning my rookie year – but also feeling like I was invincible."Murray continued, "It took me a long time to get to this point. I'm a different man now. I would not be in this position right now today if I didn't put that drink down eight months ago."He added, "People who don't know me, I'll have to show it through my actions, and they'll get back on Grayson's side. My demeanor is so much better. It's really a lot of fun now. I really don't live and die by a golf shot anymore. I'm not going to sit here and say it's going to be all glory and roses, but it's going to be a lot better."In January, Murray said that he had been sober since early 2023. He truly would do anything for anyone.Tributes poured in for the PGA golfer who died suddenly.Murray's caddie, Jay Green, told the Golf Channel, "Grayson was the absolute best. Not only was he an incredible, thoughtful, and generous boss, he has an even better friend. He truly would do anything for anyone. He has the best family, and my heart goes out to them. We will all miss him deeply."PGA golfer Bubba Watson said, "Very sad to hear the news of Grayson Murray’s passing today. Life is so fragile… I was just hugging you at the Masters, telling you how proud of you I am. Thankful to have known you. My deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. He will be missed."British golfer Luke Donald stated, "Truly devastating news that Grayson Murray has passed away. He asked me for some advice on how to play Augusta a few months ago, last week I saw him at the PGA Championship, life truly is precious. My condolences and prayers to his whole family that they may find some peace."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox.
