The suspect in the New Orleans attack early New Year’s morning, which is being investigated as a terrorist attack, has been identified. According to The Advocate, a law enforcement source identified the suspect accused of plowing a truck through a crowd on Bourbon Street as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar. “The source said Jabbar was carrying an ISIS flag in the truck, and authorities have said he was dressed in military gear,” the outlet stated. They are looking into whether a different suspect rented the truck used in the attack. He was killed in a firefight that injured two police officers. Jabbar grew up in Texas and is believed to have served in the military for ten years, sources told The Post.
