Rumble to Take Over TikTok? CEO Makes Shocking Announcement

Video streaming website Rumble just made a shocking offer to TikTok‚ the communist Chinese government-tied social media app currently facing threats of being banned from the United States. Rumble CEO Chris Pavloski offered to purchase TikTok if it agreed to separate from its Beijing-based parent company ByteDance‚ as demanded by American lawmakers. Pavloski extended the offer in a Tuesday letter addressed to TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew: “Rumble is ready to join a consortium with other parties seeking to acquire and operate TikTok in the United States.” Pavloski added in the letter: “Rumble’s offer to serve as a partner to a consortium to acquire and operate TikTok is subject to the negotiation of a definitive agreement.” An offer for TikTok from our CEO @chrispavlovski pic.twitter.com/lIeZ6IXANU — Rumble 🏴‍☠️ (@rumblevideo) March 12‚ 2024 The offer letter comes as TikTok faces a potential ban. Just last week‚ President Joe Biden voiced support for proposed legislation authorizing him to block the Chinese-owned social media app from operating in the U.S. The bill — authored by Reps. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) — will likely head to the House floor as soon as Wednesday after passing a vote in the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The lawmakers cited national security concerns and China’s access to Americans’ data as the primary reasons the law is needed. TikTok has (unsuccessfully) attempted to appease concerns by pledging to store its data in the U.S. Alluding to the lawmakers’ concerns‚ the Rumble CEO wrote that in the event of a sale‚ Rumble would store TikTok’s data in the U.S. “All data on the Rumble Cloud is stored safely and securely at sites inside of the United States on Rumble’s own neutral and independent infrastructure‚” Pavloski concluded. Backing Rumble’s offer to TikTok‚ MRC President Brent Bozell said on Twitter: “Rumble is one of the few pro-free social media companies. They would make a much better owner of TikTok than the Chi-Coms." Beyond that‚ Bozell issued a video statement on Tuesday emphasizing the urgency for Congress to act against TikTok. “It is absolutely correct and necessary for TikTok to divest itself of any control from the communist Chinese government in China if it wants to do business in the United States‚” said Bozell. He added‚ “I support this bill. I support reining in TikTok. I support stopping the communist Chinese from influencing the United States subversively.” TikTok must divest itself from China if it wants to do business in the United States. We at the MRC have been consistent from the beginning. TikTok is a national security threat. @BrentBozell pic.twitter.com/FfSh1futU3 — Media Research Center (@theMRC) March 12‚ 2024 Conservatives are under attack. Surviving While Sick

It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking idealistically about our survival scenarios. One way we do that is by thinking that the family will be all together‚ at home‚ when a disaster strikes. The post Surviving While Sick appeared first on Survivopedia.

Congress to TikTok: Tick-tock‚ tick-tock ... BAN!

Congress to TikTok: Tick-tock‚ tick-tock ... BAN!

Capitalism rewards success. Success often occurs when privately owned firms create something people like‚ use‚ and value. The more people like‚ use‚ and value‚ the greater the financial success‚ all through voluntary transactions. That’s a capitalist system — a free market in which people are free to choose and the choices they make are the most true and honest reflection of what people prefer and value. The success that the market rewards‚ the government wants to punish. The U.S. government is telling the world that if a company owned by a foreign national enters the American market and has great success‚ the government can and will force divestiture if it’s too successful. Since many Chinese companies operate in the United States‚ the punishment against TikTok is not for being Chinese but rather for being Chinese and incredibly successful. The problem here is not the Chinese‚ and it is not TikTok. The problem is Section 230 and the third-party doctrine.Congress is saying Bytedance must divest from its wildly popular video hosting service TikTok because Bytedance was too successful. If TikTok languished in the App Store‚ this call for divestiture would likely never have happened. What bothers people is the success of TikTok. So Bytedance must be punished for being successful. That is Bytedance’s only crime. The company’s success is envied — and now it’s being punished coercively. Are people not informed? Don’t people read every day how the U.S. government expands the surveillance state by deputizing private companies and abusing the third-party doctrine so that it can extend its warrantless surveillance? Don’t people know that the government regularly compels private businesses to surveil their customers and share the results of that surveillance — and profit from doing so? Which scenario is worse for American citizens: for ill-gotten data to be in the hands of the American government‚ which has jurisdiction over Americans? Or for that data to be in the hands of the Chinese government‚ which has no jurisdiction over them whatsoever? The problem here is not the Chinese and it is not TikTok. The problem is Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996‚ which provided immunity to tech companies for third-party content and indirectly subsidized the modern surveillance state. Section 230 and the third-party doctrine have created and perverted the vision of a democratized and decentralized internet‚ where people would preserve their personal sovereignty‚ and turned it into an oligarchic structure of companies all implementing the same business model: data rape. All brought to you by the U.S. government. Yes‚ Section 230 and the third-party doctrine have subsidized and incentivized private companies to adopt business models of data extraction. The government has enabled and weaponized the surveillance economy: Get your attention‚ amuse you‚ entertain you‚ enrage and engage you. And‚ while you’re being distracted‚ take your data. Whether in the form of a ban in the Apple and Google app stores or a forced divestiture‚ the attack on TikTok is coercion. It is a violent intervention‚ an expropriation‚ and an attack on capitalism and success. That success should not be punished‚ envied‚ or resented. It should be admired‚ regardless of the nationality of the entrepreneur. Either a forced divestiture or taking represents an act of economic warfare‚ as it destroys value. Any government-induced destruction represents warfare in which government deploys administrative weapons. Not all weapons of mass destruction are atom bombs. The answer is not to force the divestiture of Tik Tok or to ban it‚ but to repeal Section 230‚ repeal the third-party doctrine‚ and ultimately‚ codify data sovereignty. Liberate the world wide web!

North Carolina man arrested and charged after being caught recording minors at hockey game

A man in Charlotte has been charged with more than 15 counts of secret peeping‚ according to WJZY. John H. Cutter‚ 61‚ was reportedly caught video recording a minor in a stall at the Bojangles Coliseum.Investigators said a father‚ his 11-year-old son‚ and his son's 12-year-old friend were at the venue to watch a Charlotte Checkers hockey game. The three arrived at the venue around 4:20 p.m. and went to the bathroom before finding their seats. The father and son waited for the friend to finish in the restroom‚ and that is when the father discovered a hand and what appeared to be a GoPro camera under the stall the friend was in.After the friend was done in the restroom‚ the father confronted Cutter about the alleged incident. Cutter reportedly denied the allegations and walked away‚ per the report. — (@) A description of Cutter was soon given to the authorities. After reviewing the surveillance footage‚ the authorities found that Cutter had been entering and exiting restrooms leading up to the hockey game. The report noted that he would be in the restroom for about eight minutes before exiting for four minutes‚ and then he would go to another restroom for about the same amount of time. The authorities used surveillance footage to track down Cutter's vehicle and found his address. On March 7‚ officials showed up at Cutter's home with a warrant and took up several electronic devices‚ per Queen City News.Police found seven videos on a recording device‚ totaling about two minutes of footage. It revealed that Cutter had recorded minors in restrooms with their genitals out.As a result‚ Cutter was charged with 11 counts of felony secret peeping and three counts of misdemeanor secret peeping. WSOC reported that some parents who live near Cutter have had to talk to their children about the dangers of being outside by themselves. One neighbor said‚ "It's unsettling. It makes you think about who you're living around and who you can trust.""You cannot be alone outside by yourself. You cannot go into anybody's house‚" the neighbor added.Court documents have indicated that Cutter was previously a registered sex offender for a conviction that took place in 1999‚ but he was taken off the registry in 2011. 'This kind of hatred is violence': Lady Gaga appalled at backlash for photo with Dylan Mulvaney on Women's Day

Singer and actress Lady Gaga claimed that she was the target of violence after she received negative reactions online to photos with gender activist Dylan Mulvaney. The singer‚ whose real name is Stefani Germanotta‚ was featured in a series of images and a video on the pseudo-holiday International Women's Day alongside Mulvaney‚ a man. Mulvaney is of course infamous for his role in the Bud Light marketing fiasco that featured the activist in a bathtub with cans of the beer‚ which cost the brand billions of dollars in market share.Of course‚ not only did the singer not see an issue with celebrating a man on a day meant for women‚ but she labeled any contentiousness from audiences as "hatred" and "violence.""It’s appalling to me that a post about National Women’s Day by Dylan Mulvaney and me would be met with such vitriol and hatred‚" Germanotta wrote on her Instagram. "When I see a newspaper reporting on hatred but calling it 'backlash' I feel it is important to clarify that hatred is hatred‚ and this kind of hatred is violence. 'Backlash' would imply that people who love or respect Dylan and me didn’t like something we did. This is not backlash. This is hatred."The singer then claimed that society had more work to do to support transgender people‚ claiming that they lead the way despite facing different types of "violence‚" such as "mental violence.""It is not surprising given the immense work that it’s obvious we still have to do as a society to make room for transgender lives to be cherished and upheld by all of us. I feel very protective in this moment‚ not only of Dylan‚ but of the trans community who continues to lead the way with their endless grace and inspiration in the face of constant degradation‚ intolerance‚ and physical‚ verbal‚ and mental violence." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dylan Mulvaney (@dylanmulvaney) Lady Gaga then seemed to imply that men who believe they are women are indeed women and should be celebrated as such."I certainly do not speak for this community‚ but I have something to say. I hope all women will come together to honor us ALL for International Women’s Day‚ and may we do that always until THE DAY that all women are celebrated equally. That all people are celebrated equally. A day where people of all gender identities are celebrated on whichever holiday speaks to them. Because people of all gender identities and races deserve peace and dignity‚" she continued."May we all come together and be loving‚ accepting‚ warm‚ welcoming. May we all stand and honor the complexity and challenge of trans life — that we do not know‚ but can seek to understand and have compassion for. I love people too much to allow hatred to be referred to as 'backlash.' People deserve better‚" the artist concluded. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) Of course‚ many women in the media were not happy about this. "They always find a way to label truth as hatred. Lady Gaga chose to highlight a man on a day meant for women. That’s a fact. It’s not 'hatred‚'" commentator Amala Ekpunobi remarked on X. They always find a way to label truth as hatred. Lady Gaga chose to highlight a man on a day meant for women. That’s a fact. It’s not “hatred.” — (@) "Stating a biological fact is not hatred ma’am‚" said writer Natasha Biase. Stating a biological fact is not hatred ma’am — (@) Lady Gaga is set to appear in the upcoming film "Joker: Folie à Deux" and was recently revealed to have her own character set in the extremely popular video game Fortnite.Like Blaze News? Caitlin Clark triggers USA Today writer‚ inspiring racist article

Iowa Hawkeyes record-breaking superstar Caitlin Clark has become all the rage in women’s basketball. The guard is the team’s leading scorer and is already considered one of the greats of women’s college basketball. But what inevitably happens when a talented individual becomes wildly successful? Haters happen. And Clark has no shortage of those; however‚ the spite she’s attracted seems to stem more from her being white than her unparalleled success. First‚ women’s basketball legend Sheryl Swoopes trashed Clark and claimed she didn’t deserve some of her titles. Now‚ a USA Today writer‚ who happens to be a white woman‚ is after Clark in her recent article titled‚ “Women’s basketball needs faces of future to be black. Enter JuJu Watkins and Hannah Hidalgo.” “With Caitlin Clark headed to the 2024 WNBA draft where she's projected number one overall‚ Watkins‚ the nation's leading scorer this season behind Clark‚ is positioned to become the face of women's basketball. She'll be joined by Notre Dame point guard Hannah Hidalgo‚ the other favorite. Not lost on any power brokers in the game‚ both of these players are black‚ and in a game built by black women‚ it matters that the faces of the future look like the faces of the past‚” Jason Whitlock reads from the article. “What if someone argued‚ ‘Hey‚ given Jack Nicholas and Arnold Palmer and all the white men that built golf‚ it's important that Tiger Woods be replaced as the face of golf by a white person?’” he asks‚ pointing out the “blatant racism and stupidity” in the article. “It’s not journalism; it’s pandering‚” says Steve Kim‚ adding that this is just another example of “white guilt.” “Number one it really shields [journalists] from any claims of racism‚ and number two‚ they get all the applause from all the people they think are going to help them move up the ladder in terms of the media field‚” he continues. 'A bulge cannot be showing': John Cena's nude Oscars stunt was so regulated that a Disney exec had to add nudity fail-safes

What was meant to be a fun and shocking moment at the 96th Oscars was actually an incredibly regulated‚ rehearsed endeavor that went through a stringent approval process.Actor and professional wrestler John Cena mimicked a 1974 nude streaker from the 46th Oscars by seemingly appearing nude onstage to present an award for best costume. In reality‚ the stunt was a perfect microcosm of Hollywood's decline; an injection of forced comedy that is as regulated as it is unnecessary. For all intents and purposes‚ Cena's nudity was a carefully crafted‚ legally sound "comedy" bit that received input from Disney executives and standards and practices lawyers. One of those executives was Rob Mills‚ Walt Disney Television's executive vice president of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment. Ironically‚ Mills' job was to ensure that Cena's faux-nude appearance was not unscripted at all."There was a lot of reticence of not just a fine from the FCC‚ but potential complaints‚" Mills told Variety. Disney's legal team made it clear that it had to be obvious that Cena wasn't naked. In a joking attempt to "educate‚" Mills noted that "a bulge cannot be showing‚ and you can’t show crack." However‚ the Disney executive jumped through hoops and even put fail-safes in place to make sure the bit made it to air."'What happens if he drops that card?' So‚ we made sure that‚ for all intents and purposes‚ he looked like a Ken doll up front. His crack was covered in the back and then the envelope was Velcro-ed on there so it wouldn’t fall. But beyond that‚ he was naked." John Cena just walked on stage at the Oscar’s NAKED 😳

The degradation of men continues.

Weak men. Hard times. — (@) The bit was rehearsed on a closed set before network representatives battled with what was acceptable with the standards and practices department."They were sweating‚" said Oscars producer Molly McNearney. "I think at the end we all got to a spot where we were comfortable‚ S&;P was comfortable‚ and it didn’t compromise the comedy a bit. I was very thankful that we didn’t have to send him out there in tighty whities‚ which I’m sure legal would have preferred."McNearney added that she wanted for audiences to debate whether or not Cena was nude. "Maybe it’s not what [S&;P] wanted. That’s definitely what I want!"It is indeed strange how highly regulated a comedy bit about a 250-pound athlete pretending to appear nude is under Disney's watch‚ given their celebration of leftist ideology that is both incredibly obscure and sexual in nature. The Oscars even celebrated Emma Stone's performance in "Poor Things‚" a movie about an infant-minded female Frankenstein monster who discovers her freedom through worldly sexual escapades. Her travels are described in one scene by the character as "whoring." Stone described her character as an "acceptance of what it is to be a woman: to be free‚ to be scared and brave." The film‚ by Disney studio Searchlight Pictures‚ took home four Oscars in total.Interestingly‚ Oscars producer McNearney is also an executive producer for "Jimmy Kimmel Live"; Kimmel also hosted the Oscars. Neither is a stranger to the type of performance put on by Cena‚ either. In late 2022‚ actor Jason Momoa stripped down to a "traditional Hawaiian Malo‚" sharing his bare backside with Kimmel's studio audience.Overly prepared "comedy" involving nearly nude male actors certainly adds to an ever-growing belief viewers have that masculinity and heterosexuality are targeted by mainstream media for humiliation. It doesn't help Hollywood's cause in this argument when segments such as those mentioned receive hours of scrutiny‚ while at the same time corporations like Disney openly admit to wanting to inject LGBT content into their productions.Like Blaze News? Illegal immigrant from Venezuela charged after causing car crash that killed 12-year-old Missouri boy

An illegal immigrant from Venezuela has been charged with manslaughter after she caused a car crash in Missouri that killed a 12-year-old boy. The New York Post reported that the immigrant was traveling on the wrong side of the road when the crash occurred.Edina Bracho‚ 33‚ was reportedly speeding on the opposite side of the road in Hazelwood in December when her minivan smashed into a Jeep with Travis Wolfe and his parents inside. Bracho was traveling 75 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour speed zone. The crash occurred just one day before Wolfe's birthday. The boy was quickly rushed to St. Louis Children's Hospital‚ where he was ultimately put on life support. He remained on life support for three months before passing away from his injuries on Wednesday.Bracho was charged with involuntary manslaughter‚ two counts of assault in the second degree‚ two counts of endangering a child in the first degree‚ and a single count of operating a vehicle without a valid license‚ according to KTVI.Court documents revealed that "the defendant is here illegally from Venezuela."Sgt. Scott Schnurbusch of the Hazelwood Police Department said‚ “That did not play a part in our investigation. It was just difficult identifying all parties involved because we didn’t have documentation or identifications in the vehicle to try to figure out who the two juveniles and the suspect were."Bracho is reportedly in custody and awaiting trial. She is currently being held on a $500‚000 cash-only bond. She is set to have a bond reduction hearing on April 8‚ per reports.“1‚700 feet is quite a big distance to travel at over 70 miles an hour on a 40-mile posted road. That’s a long way to travel in the wrong direction and not realize‚” Schnurbusch said.A GoFundMe was set up for the Wolfe family by a woman named Andrea. It reads: "Hi my name is Andrea and I am helping the sweet family of Billy's friend Travis. Travis and his parents were in a horrific head on crash in late December‚ sadly the day before Travis's 12th birthday.""Travis was severely injured and has been hospitalized ever since. Please join me in donating funds to support the family with medical expenses."At the time of this report‚ $23‚536 of a goal of $30‚000 has been raised so far. Like Blaze News? Boeing fails 33 FAA product audits following mid-flight panel blowout: Report

Boeing failed 33 of the Federal Aviation Administration’s 89 product audits that were recently conducted as a result of a mid-flight panel blowout on an Alaska Airlines flight in January‚ according to the New York Times. An FAA slide presentation obtained by the Times reportedly revealed that a six-week audit conducted by the federal agency found several problems with Boeing’s production of its 737 Max airplanes. The FAA stated that it discovered “multiple instances” in which Boeing and its former subsidiary‚ Spirit AeroSystems‚ failed to comply with quality-control standards. The presentation indicated that of the 89 product audits‚ Boeing passed 56 and failed 33. The FAA reportedly found 97 instances of alleged noncompliance.Spirit AeroSystems also underwent 13 product audits concerning its production of the 737 Max fuselage. According to the Times’ review of the FAA’s presentation‚ the company failed seven audits and passed six. Additionally‚ Spirit reportedly failed an audit that dealt with the installation of the door plug‚ the component that blew off mid-air during an Alaska Airlines flight earlier this year. Additionally‚ the agency found that Boeing failed to check the aircraft’s door plug. The federal agency stated that it observed one Spirit mechanic using a hotel key card to inspect a door seal and another applying liquid dish soap “as a lubricant” to a door seal. The FAA noted that the methods were “not identified/documented/called-out in the production order.” The agency added that instructions provided to the workers were “vague and unclear on what specifications/actions are to be followed or recorded by the mechanic.”Many of the issues the FAA’s 20 auditors discovered were related to a failure to follow an “approved manufacturing process‚ procedure or instruction‚” the presentation stated. The FAA interviewed six Boeing engineers to assess their understanding of the company’s quality-control process. According to the presentation‚ the engineers received an average score of just 58%.A spokesperson for Spirit told the Times that the company was “reviewing all identified nonconformities for corrective action.”“Meanwhile‚ we continue multiple efforts undertaken to improve our safety and quality programs‚” Joe Buccino‚ a spokesperson for Spirit‚ said. “These improvements focus on human factors and other steps to minimize nonconformities.”In a statement to the news outlet‚ Boeing spokesperson Jessica Kowal said the airplane manufacturer continued “to implement immediate changes and develop a comprehensive action plan to strengthen safety and quality‚ and build the confidence of our customers and their passengers.”The FAA told the Times it could not release additional details while its investigation into Boeing remained ongoing. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Department of Justice are also investigating the airplane manufacturer. Like Blaze News? 'Bling bishop' convicted of fraud AGAIN after conning old lady out of $90‚000: 'Lie after lie to victim after victim'

A supposed man of the cloth known for parading about his Brooklyn pulpit wearing ostentatious suits and expensive jewelry has now been convicted of fraud. Again. On Monday‚ jurors convicted Lamor Whitehead‚ aka the "bling bishop‚" of wire fraud‚ attempted wire fraud‚ attempted extortion‚ and lying to the FBI in connection with three separate money-related scams. s Perhaps the most odious of the three involves Pauline Anderson‚ the elderly mother of a man who attended Whitehead's church‚ the Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Canarsie‚ Brooklyn. Anderson spent her life helping others as a nurse and over the years managed to squirrel away about $90‚000 for her retirement.Whitehead‚ who cultivated a relationship with Anderson's son through his ministerial work‚ then convinced Anderson to give him that money so that he could buy and renovate a fixer-upper for her‚ thereby giving her a lovely home to live out the rest of her days. But rather than buy the house‚ Whitehead blew the money on a BMW and flashy Louis Vuitton clothes. When Anderson's son attempted to get his mother's money back‚ Whitehead reportedly texted that he was calling upon God to "exact vengeance" on the man.The second case involves Brandon Belmonte‚ the owner of an auto repair shop in Brooklyn. Whitehead extorted $5‚000 out of Belmonte following a repair. He then also tried to persuade Belmonte to loan him an additional $500‚000 in connection with a real estate venture‚ promising in return he would use his influence with New York City Mayor Eric Adams to secure Belmonte some political favors.Adams has previously described himself as a "mentor" for Whitehead and other such "Black men that had negative encounters in their lives." Though photos indicate that Adams and Whitehead have been friendly at times‚ prosecutors claimed that Whitehead's influence in NYC is limited and that the bling bishop knew he would not be able to deliver on his promises of political favors. Adams has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Whitehead. Finally‚ as Blaze News previously reported‚ Whitehead forged several bank documents‚ claiming to have millions of dollars in assets in a business that "had an average ending balance of less than ten dollars‚" the affidavit said. He then used the bank loans to purchase a lavish mansion in Paramus‚ New Jersey‚ and also attempted to use those funds to secure another $250‚000 loan. His loan application in that case was denied‚ however.Whitehead is a "con man who told lie after lie to victim after victim‚" prosecutors claimed. The jury apparently agreed‚ and Whitehead now faces up to 45 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced in July. His attorney claimed his team plans to appeal.Whitehead has a history of defrauding others to enrich himself. In 2006‚ he was convicted on 17 fraud-related counts after he stole someone's identity and used it to purchase cars and motorcycles. He then served seven years of a 30-year sentence. He was released in 2013 for good behavior. In July 2022‚ Whitehead made national headlines after masked gunmen entered his church while he was delivering a sermon. The suspects then stole $400‚000 worth of jewelry from Whitehead and his wife‚ and the entire incident was captured on livestream. Two of the alleged thieves‚ Juwan Anderson and Say-Quan Pollack‚ were later arrested and charged with robbery‚ conspiracy‚ and weapons-related offenses. The status of their cases is unknown.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!
