A tire fell off of a United Airlines flight in San Francisco on Thursday afternoon and damaged multiple cars in a nearby parking lot. United Flight 35‚ which was supposed to be headed to Japan‚ landed safely in Los Angeles after the incident‚ according to a local NBC News affiliate. The Boeing 777-200 has six tires on its two sets of rear landing gear. There were 249 people on board‚ including passengers‚ pilots‚ and flight attendants. A United Airlines flight that took off from Houston to Fort Myers on Monday was forced to turn around after one of its engines erupted in flames. United Flight 1118 was in the air less than 15 minutes before it had to turn around‚ according to data from FlightAware. “United flight 1118 returned to Houston shortly after takeoff due to an engine issue‚” the airline said in a statement. “The flight landed safely‚ and the passengers deplaned normally. The memo begins: Subject: Trump Enters The General Election Beleaguered and Ill-Equipped Date: March 6‚ 2024 The results of last night’s Super Tuesday contests cemented what we have known for some time now: Donald Trump limps into the general election as a wounded‚ dangerous and unpopular candidate. The Republican nominee is cash-strapped‚ beleaguered by a host of external issues‚ and is running on an extreme agenda that is already proving to be a significant liability for key voting blocs that are critical to the pathway to 270 electoral votes. There is no one in this race who’s sitting around saying‚ “Man‚ I just can’t. I can’t. Who are these guys? I need some introductory ads. Probably if they drop $1‚000‚000‚000 introducing me to Joe Biden…” But maybe they don’t think everyone knows what they already think of these candidates. Beyond Donald Trump’s demonstrated inability to expand his appeal beyond the MAGA base‚ which this memo covers in detail below‚ upwards of 10% of voters remain undecided‚ much larger than the current margin between Trump and Biden in polling. So they’re now counting on everybody who’s categorized as undecided to vote in favor of Biden. Good luck with that. That is very large-scale wishful thinking. That’s a bunch of people who don’t want to say they’re voting for Trump. I would bet‚ if the election were held today‚ independents would break for Trump. The biggest problem for Biden is that he’s personally a deeply unattractive candidate. Most people think he is not sympathetic and manipulative‚ which is a big difference from 2020. He has been exposed as somebody who is willing to do pretty much anything for political gain and label his political opposition as enemies of the state. He’s somebody who will go to funerals for other people’s children and then say his son died in Iraq. He’s somebody who has engaged in corruption for decades with members of his own family. And more than anything else‚ the man is just not with us. That is a major problem. Donald Trump is still energetic. Joe Biden is old and Joe Biden is not alive anymore.

New York Attorney General Letitia James ran into a tough crowd on Thursday when she spoke at a ceremony for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). The Democrat prosecutor was showered with boos when she walked onto the stage for the swearing-in ceremony of first responders‚ including Rev. Pamela Holmes‚ who was hailed as the first African-American woman chaplain of the FDNY‚ Fox News reported. “Oh‚ c’mon‚ we’re in a house of God‚” James said in an apparent attempt to quiet the chorus of boos. “Simmer down.” Shortly after the boos stopped‚ James’ speech was interrupted by chants of “Trump! James filed the suit against Trump after she ran for her position promising voters she would go after Trump‚ calling the former president a “con man” and “carnival barker.” After Engoron sided with James in the civil business fraud case against Trump‚ the AG posted on social media‚ “$464‚576‚230.62‚” the combined amount that Trump and his fellow defendants owed after the judgment. Her post was viewed by many as a taunt targeted at the leading Republican presidential candidate‚ and she followed up that post with additional tweets that added the interest Trump owed with each passing day. The former president has maintained throughout the case that he and his business did nothing wrong‚ arguing that his assets had even been undervalued.
