Supermodel Gisele Bündchen made more comments about how co-parenting with her ex-husband‚ retired NFL star Tom Brady‚ is going. The pair have two children‚ Benjamin‚ 14‚ and Vivian‚ 11. Brady also has a son‚ 16-year-old Jack‚ with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.  “I think‚ you know‚ there’s easier days than other[s]‚ but I think‚ you know‚ it’s amazing that the kids — they’re super smart children‚” Bündchen said during an appearance on ABC’S “Impact x Nightline” with Robin Roberts. “They know what they can get away with‚” the 43-year-old celebrity continued. “So I think it’s natural that [they have] different rules and then kids just adapt. A federal official with the National Transportation Safety Board said that the controlled burning of toxic chemicals in East Palestine‚ Ohio‚ after a massive train derailment last year was not justified.  NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy told lawmakers on Wednesday that there would have been alternatives to busting open the train cars and burning the vinyl chloride chemicals inside after a train operated by Norfolk Southern crashed in February of 2023. The burn released toxic fumes into the area and left residents with concerns about their health and safety.  The company in charge of the chemicals‚ Oxy Vinyls‚ reportedly did not think a deadly explosion would occur‚ telling contractors with Norfolk Southern that “there was no justification to do a vent and burn‚” according to Homendy. Instead‚ they could have waited and let the chemicals cool down.  Homendy said that Governor Mike DeWine (R-OH) and other first responders did not know that this was a possibility.  “So Oxy Vinyls was on scene providing information to Norfolk Southern’s contractor who was in the room when the decision was made‚ and when advice was given to the governor of Ohio‚ to the incident commander‚ they were not given full information because no one was told Oxy Vinyls was on scene‚” Homendy said. “They were left out of the room. The incident commander didn’t even know they existed. Neither did the governor. So they were provided incomplete information to make a decision.” The information came out as Homendy was questioned by Sen. J.D. Both of these factors were not in play‚ according to Homendy.  Vance called the revelations “extraordinary” and suggested that the burn was done so that more traffic and freight could be moved through quickly.  After the crash‚ many East Palestine residents were forced to evacuate their homes after the derailment as the toxic chemicals burned‚ releasing poisonous fumes into the air‚ ground‚ and water. Norfolk Southern was sued by East Palestine residents‚ the state of Ohio‚ and the federal government.

Without giving away too much‚ the Pope ends up supporting her goal and tells her to start in the West first and work her way to the East. So she does. She sets sail for America in 1889 and arrives in New York City‚ in the slums called Five Points. The first night there‚ Cabrini and her fellow sisters are “greeted by disease‚ crime‚ and impoverished children‚” as Angel Studios noted. With no place to sleep‚ the sisters end up meeting a prostitute who sticks out her neck and gives them shelter for one night. That moment creates a bond between Cabrini and the woman that proves instrumental to each of their futures. While there‚ Cabrini ends up finding the homeless‚ abandoned children who are living “no better than the rats‚” as a New York Times reporter would later label his piece. A controversial bill that could completely ban the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok from being downloaded in the U.S. is headed to the House floor after a Congressional committee voted unanimously on Thursday to advance the legislation. The bill‚ introduced by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI)‚ passed the House Energy and Commerce Committee in a bipartisan vote of 50-0‚ Fox Business reported. The measure‚ titled the ‘‘Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act‚” would require ByteDance‚ TikTok’s Chinese parent company‚ to divest the social media app or face an outright ban in the U.S. It would also create a process for the executive branch of the federal government to ban apps in the future that are deemed a “national security” risk. “This is my message to TikTok: break up with the Chinese Communist Party or lose access to your American users‚” said Gallagher‚ who chairs the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. “America’s foremost adversary has no business controlling a dominant media platform in the United States. TikTok’s time in the United States is over unless it ends its relationship with CCP-controlled ByteDance.” The act considers ‘‘controlled by a foreign adversary” to mean: (A) a foreign person that is domiciled in‚ is headquartered in‚ has its principal place of business in‚ or is organized under the laws of a foreign adversary country; (B) an entity with respect to which a foreign person or combination of foreign persons described in subparagraph (A) directly or indirectly own at least a 20 percent stake; or (C) a person subject to the direction or control of a foreign person or entity described in subparagraph (A) or (B). While the bill is supported by numerous GOP congressmen‚ including House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA)‚ some Republican lawmakers and former President Donald Trump have voiced their opposition to a total ban on TikTok. “If you get rid of TikTok‚ Facebook and Zuckerschmuck will double their business‚” Trump posted on Truth Social on Thursday. “I don’t want Facebook‚ who cheated in the last Election‚ doing better. They are a true Enemy of the People!” Trump’s comments on a potential TikTok ban mark a shift in the former president’s stance on the issue. While still in the White House in 2020‚ Trump suggested banning TikTok in the U.S. and issued an executive order calling on ByteDance to divest from its popular social media app‚ The Hill reported. The order was later blocked by federal judges. Rand Paul (R-KY) said. “Why not just defend the first amendment?” X owner Elon Musk also chimed in on the proposed TikTok ban‚ agreeing with Trump. TikTok responded to the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s passage of the bill‚ saying in a statement on Thursday‚ “This bill is an outright ban of TikTok‚ no matter how much the authors try to disguise it. This legislation will trample the First Amendment rights of 170 million Americans and deprive 5 million small businesses of a platform they rely on to grow and create jobs.” The social media app also encouraged users to contact their congressman and voice their opposition to the legislation. Gallagher said that lawmakers’ offices have been flooded with calls regarding the measure and accused TikTok of “intimidating members considering that bill.” The White House has signaled its support for the potential TikTok ban even as President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign uses the app to boost his message to potential voters.
