PERFECT TIME FOR A NEW PARTICLE ACCELERATOR AND A MOON BASE

by Joseph P. Farrell, Giza Death Star: If you’ve been following the news lately, the world teeters on the brink of thermonuclear war, as the crazed and maniacal super-genius-criminal-leader of those always-Byzantine-and-never-to-be-trusted-Russians, Vladimir Putin, and his equally crazed and wild-eyed lackey Dmitri Medvedev, utter radioactive threats against the thoroughly and brilliantly intelligent, always virtuous, and […]

The Power of Memory To Anchor Your Faith – Encouragement for Today – June 19, 2024

June 19, 2024 The Power of Memory To Anchor Your FaithELIZABETH LAING THOMPSON Lee en español "I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds." Psalm 77:11-12 (NIV) Every time I see my dad, he repeats these words: "I remember the day you were born ... the day you were baptized ... your wedding day ... the day your miracle baby was born." This repetition is how Dad fights back against dementia, how he hangs on to precious memories even as his disease tries to steal them away. These memories are anchors tethering him to his past - and to his family. There's power in these memories. Love in these memories. Faith in these memories. Dad's example reminds me that memory is not only a privilege; it's a powerful spiritual practice. The Bible is packed with scriptures inviting us - reminding us - to remember. We're called to relive meaningful memories in prayer, in song, in celebration and in conversation. Consider just a few examples from the book of Deuteronomy: "Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb ..." (Deuteronomy 4:10, NIV). "Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand ..." (Deuteronomy 5:15, NIV). "Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years ..." (Deuteronomy 8:2, NIV). As God's children, you and I share in the Bible's faith history. Remembering our collective past feeds our faith for the future. Some memories recount God's power and righteousness; others reveal His patience and grace. Some lament mistakes; others celebrate victories. Together they all prepare us to face life's storms with faith. In Psalm 77, the writer, Asaph, was floundering mid-storm, questioning God's faithfulness. But Asaph revived his faith by pondering the past. "‘Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?' Then I thought, ‘To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds'" (Psalm 77:9-12, NIV). Like Asaph, my dad, and many other people of God, you and I can renew our faith by remembering the past - not only the collective story of God's people but also our own stories. What are key spiritual moments and faith-anchoring memories from your life? Maybe God answered a prayer against all odds. Maybe He held you close through a season of sorrow. Maybe He surprised you with fresh joy or a second chance. Such precious memories are yours - your faith story with your Father. Let's write those memories down, meditate on them, share them, and thank God time and again. Every time we remember, we celebrate our Father's love. We honor His power, His deeds and His character. Best of all, we remember that He always remembers us. And that's the anchor our souls always need. Father, I remember Your patience, Your provision and Your power. You've been faithful in the past, and I trust You with my future. In Jesus' Name, Amen.  OUR FAVORITE THINGS Elizabeth Laing Thompson's book When God Says, "No" provides scriptures and insights to remind you of God's faithfulness through hardships - because even when God says "no," your story isn't over. ENGAGE Elizabeth sends Bible studies and devotions to her newsletter friends, and she'd love to connect on Instagram. FOR DEEPER STUDY Exodus 13:14, "In days to come, when your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?' say to him, ‘With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery'" (NIV). Psalm 105:1-6, "Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob" (NIV). A Prayer for Assurance of God’s Protection – Your Daily Prayer – June 19

A Prayer for Assurance of God's ProtectionBy Keri Eichberger  "The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves." – Zephaniah 3:17 I have a fear of flying. If you know me, you know this. However, it's actually gotten leaps and bounds better over the years as I've leaned closer and closer to the truths of God's almighty power and control and his love that always looks out for me. But I still have to fight like crazy to cling to the Lord to allow his sovereign presence to infuse, calm, and comfort my shaky spirit whenever I board any aircraft. And let me tell you, flying certainly isn't the only situation that unsteadies the sails of my soul. Last summer, for example, I was preparing for a flight across the country to witness my niece get married. Days before, my devotional scripture of the day was Zephaniah 3:17, which begins, "The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves." I knew this truth would be helpful to hold near on my flight, so I jotted it down and marked the verse as a post-it bookmark in my hot pink and favorite bible–a "must have" on all air travel. I later opened Zephaniah to reflect on the meaning of the words as a sense of unease began to swell while soaring higher and higher above the clouds into the clear blue sky. I needed to know God was with me. I fixed my focus on the fine black text and imagined my "mighty warrior" right beside me, saving me, protecting me, and surrounding me. I memorized the verse as I personalized it over and over in my mind: Keri, the LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. With each repetition, the Lord allowed peace to flow and grow within. I wouldn't know I'd need the depth of this truth again and again in the few days before my return home. But I did. Because, among a couple of other unnamed incidents, I was faced with yet another unexpected fear the following day. On the wedding day, a limo bus picked up several of the guests, myself and my family included, to provide transportation to the ceremony. It was a beautiful mountainous Colorado drive until the bus took a sharp turn onto a one-lane, windy, gravel road to head a final steep 2000 feet up to the peak where the event would take place. You'd have to have been there to understand the extent of the intense drop-offs and sharp turns the oversized vehicle would maneuver back and forth exactly eleven life-threatening (seeming) times. But trust me, it was downright scary. Everyone felt it. And I remember closing my eyes after surviving the first turn, thankful for the verse I had burned in my brain for such an unexpected time as this. Once again, I needed to know God was with me. And again, I pictured him next to me. I saw our mighty, mighty warrior wrapped around me and my loved ones, with protection that would be sure to hold each soul with peace no matter what happened. You might think I'm a big wimp, or maybe this story triggered memories of fearful circumstances you've been placed in. But I know you have fears, too. Is there something today that has you stirred up with fearful feelings or consumed with concern, leaving you desperate for assurance of God’s almighty protection? What is it? Are you fearful of a near or long-term outcome? Maybe dealing with a diagnosis, a risky procedure, or a loved one is. I know how you feel. And you so badly want to know that God has this, has you. That he will care for you, protect you, or whoever it is you are concerned for. Can I remind you that the Lord is with you? That he is oh so mightily in control of every detail. The Word tells us not even one sparrow will fall to the ground outside of the Father's care. And that we should not be afraid because we are of so much more value than the sparrows (Matthew 10:29-31). He is watching every move made around you, and he will not let go of one of his children for a split second. You are always, always, always in the Father's good care. He is the mighty warrior who saves. I pray this offers you comfort as you repeat this fear-fighting truth today or tomorrow in the midst of your fragile moments and fears. The Lord holds you and hovers over you-you, me, and all of those who love him. Let's pray: Father God, I have so many worries, cares, and concerns. Many I don't even acknowledge as they have become so common and threaded through each day of my life. And I have fears, too. Some small and some really big at times that try to overtake me. But you are my mighty Savior. Always with me. Help me remember that not one detail of my life, or the lives of those I love, is out of your sovereign love and control. I am so thankful you have me. Because of what the Bible tells me. I can be sure of your constant protection. And I can be sure your perfect love will never ever leave me. Oh, how blessed I am by you. May I remain confident in your unfailing Word. In your faithful name, Jesus, I pray, amen. Photo credit: ©GettyImages/Thitaree Sarmkasat Keri Eichberger is a Jesus-loving Kentucky girl. Fundraiser Who Helped Raise Millions For Obama Will Now Support Trump

Allison Huynh, a former Obama fundraiser who helped raise millions for his 2008 presidential campaign, said she is fed up with Joe Biden and will support Donald Trump in the upcoming election. In an interview with “Fox & Friends First,” Huynh said Biden is “asleep at the wheel.” “He’s allowed Big Tech as well as the looters to take over Silicon Valley. San Francisco has been the science experiment that’s gone awry. I wake up in the morning, there’s no grocery stores to go to, there’s no malls to take my teenage girls shopping to,” she said, according to Fox News. “The streets are not safe, there are more fentanyl users and dealers than high school students in our once great city,” she added. Huynh is also selling her collection of Democratic collectibles. WATCH: Former Obama fundraiser ditches Democratic Party, backs Trump for 2024. pic.twitter.com/gsHUcvTp9z — Catch Up (@CatchUpFeed) June 19, 2024 From the New York Post: The co-creator of Willow Garage, a company that designed robotics and AI systems that were sold to Google, Huynh helped to raise millions of dollars for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. She and her husband at the time, early Google programmer Scott Hassan, helped organize elaborate fundraisers and dinners for tech bigwigs. “My role was to bring in Silicon Valley people for the $50,000- and $100,000-per-plate dinners,” Huynh said. “[We] brought in [Google co-founders] Sergey [Brin], Larry [Page] and Eric [Schmidt]. Obama was a hopeful candidate who was outside of the system.” She was so passionate about the left that, in 2005, she and Hassan bought a rocking chair that once belonged to Democratic icon John F. Kennedy for nearly $100,00 at auction. In 2008, she acquired the Shepard Fairey mixed-media artwork that the iconic Obama “Hope” posters were based on, paying more than $1 million for the work on canvas. Now, as President Biden’s term draws to a close, Huynh feels that she had been sold a bill of goods. “I think Biden has been out of touch,” she told The Post. “He’s asleep at the wheel.” Allison Huynh, former Obama fundraiser & self described “life-long liberal Democrat” is vocally backing Trump for president pic.twitter.com/ArQrr2UAKP — The Conservative Read (@theconread) June 17, 2024 Former Obama fundraiser is so fed up with the left that she’s selling her million-dollar Dem collectibles https://t.co/xfnMlhPVRD pic.twitter.com/6A7NkNq4br — New York Post (@nypost) June 16, 2024 According to Fox News, Huynh has recently traveled to Mar-a-Lago to support President Trump at a fundraiser. In his biography, he talked about being afraid of doing things because he didn’t want to ruin it for future Black leaders and Black presidents, and therefore, he let the government bureaucracy and red tape take over him whereas Trump was very specific with coming out with great ideas to allow people to grow great wealth,” she said. “Biden is changing that. Right now, it’s very hard in this country to make money unless you work for a Big Tech company. If you’re an emerging tech company, they’re driving you offshore,” she added. Huynh elaborated on that point a bit further, noting that the current administration exacerbates entrepreneurial challenges in a few ways, including, in her words, by “legislating and suing emerging technology companies, startup companies and just regular entrepreneurs who are funding their business.”
