‘Green-Thumb’ Miracles Gave These Monks an Eco-Authority in Medieval Italy New Research Shows

A scorched cherry twig miraculously sprouting; a diseased swamp restored to ‘peak fertility’; healing the broken leg of an ox; and multiplying cabbages. These are just some of the forgotten medieval miracles of the Augustinian Order which Dr. Krisztina Ilko brings to light not long this 800-year-old organization found one of its members elected Pope […] The post ‘Green-Thumb’ Miracles Gave These Monks an Eco-Authority in Medieval Italy New Research Shows appeared first on Good News Network.

Undertone Trailer Proves Even Ghosts Have Podcasts Now

News undertone Undertone Trailer Proves Even Ghosts Have Podcasts Now The A24 film delves into the true horrors of podcasting By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on February 5, 2026 Screenshot: A24 Comment 0 Share New Share Screenshot: A24 Shhh! A24 has a horror film called Undertone coming out next month. It stars the host of a popular paranormal podcast named Evy (Nina Kiri), who becomes haunted by terrifying recordings of an unknown couple who apparently captured supernatural noises coming from their house. The film is the debut of writer-director Ian Tuason, and today’s trailer suggests that the movie is satisfyingly terrifying. We only get snippets of the audio recordings, which are full of ominous whispers and hissing voices, but we also get quick visuals that suggest that Kiri’s Evy is going mad and/or is being targeted by a malevolent, possibly supernatural force. Whatever the case may be, it will certainly make you hesitate to start the next podcast in your queue. In addition to Kiri, Undertone stars Adam DiMarco, who plays Evy’s podcast cohost, Justin, and Michèle Duquet, who plays Evy’s dying mother. You’ll never see DiMarco or Duquet on screen, however; a conceit of the movie is that we only see Evy, playing into the whole aural horror of the film. (It’s almost like the reverse conceit of A Quiet Place, where no one could talk or aliens would eat them. In Undertone, we hear a whole lot, but only see Evy. There also don’t seem to be aliens involved… but who knows!) The happenings of the film all also take place in Evy’s childhood home, which also happens to be Tuason’s real-life childhood home. Synergy! Undertone premieres in U.S. theaters on Friday, March 13, 2026. Listen (and watch) the trailer below. After Almost 30 Years, The Wizard of Oz Will Once Again Air on Broadcast TV

News The Wizard of Oz After Almost 30 Years, The Wizard of Oz Will Once Again Air on Broadcast TV The movie will air on the classic television channel, MeTV By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on February 5, 2026 Screenshot: Warner Bros. Comment 0 Share New Share Screenshot: Warner Bros. There’s no place like broadcast television! Starting in 1959, The Wizard of Oz was a broadcast TV staple, airing as a television special once a year (with the exception of 1963, for whatever reason) on CBS. In 1998, however, CBS aired the film for the last time—Ted Turner, who owned the IP, moved the film exclusively over to his Time-Warner cable stations. Since then, it’s aired on TNT and TBS several times (it also, controversially, played at the Sphere in Las Vegas), but not on a free broadcast network… until now. According to The Hollywood Reporter, MeTV has purchased the exclusive broadcast rights for The Wizard of Oz. The network, which focuses on classic TV, will air the film several times in October 2026 as part of its Halloween BOO-Nanza campaign, twenty-eight or so years after its last broadcast in 1998. “The Wizard of Oz is more than a movie, it is a shared American experience that was defined by the annual tradition of gathering around the television set,” Neal Sabin, vice chairman of Weigel Broadcasting, which owns MeTV, said in a statement to THR. “We are thrilled to bring the film back to broadcast television this October on MeTV. It will be presented without any edits and will be surrounded by surprises we will announce later….” MeTV is available on broadcast television over the air for most of the U.S. if you want to get out your TV rabbit ears. It’s also available via Frndly TV, Philo, Fubo, DirecTV Stream and Sling TV. Fox News Posts Highest-Ever Second Quarter Ad Revenue, Adds 200 New Advertisers

Fox News delivered its highest second quarter advertising revenue in the network’s history, Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced Wednesday during the company’s earnings call. The record haul was fueled in part by an influx of new advertisers. Murdoch said Fox News added roughly 200 new advertisers in the first half of the fiscal year—on top of the 350 new advertisers the network brought in last year. “The advertising market for Fox News has been incredibly robust,” Murdoch told investors. “The demand for the product and the demand for the audience remains incredibly strong. Fox Corporation reported total quarterly revenues of $5.18 billion, a 2% year-over-year increase. The company’s cable networks, which includes Fox News, Fox Business, and FS1, brought in $2.28 billion, up 5% year over year. Surging Ad Sales Scatter pricing for Fox News—a measure of ad rates sold closer to air time—jumped a staggering 46% to 47% year over year, a figure Murdoch called “embarrassing.” “We couldn’t be more pleased with the performance of advertising sales at Fox News,” Murdoch said. Heading into the 2026 midterm elections, Murdoch said Fox News expects to be the “primary beneficiary” of a robust political advertising cycle. As the top-rated news network on cable TV, Fox News is not only a go-to source for Republicans and conservatives. Murdoch said the network also draws more Democrats and independents than its cable news competitors, making it an attractive option for political campaigns looking to reach a broad electorate. “We’re in a very good position going forward into this political cycle,” Murdoch said on Wednesday’s earnings call. Streaming Growth Murdoch also offered a window into the early performance of Fox One, the company’s streaming platform that launched last year at $19.99 per month. Murdoch said the service “continues to exceed our expectations,” driven by both direct signups and partnerships. Five months after launch, news already accounts for approximately one-third of total minutes viewed on the Fox One platform. “News viewers engage with the platform twice as many days per week as non-news viewers, and watch it nearly three times as many minutes per week on average,” Murdoch said. “These patterns reinforce our view that Fox One is not only the premier destination for live sports but also the leading platform for timely, relevant live news streaming.” Ratings Dominance The record financial results come on the heels of Fox News’ continued ratings dominance in the ever-changing media landscape. As The Daily Signal reported last week, Fox News marked its 24th consecutive year as the top-rated cable news network in January, commanding nearly 60% of total cable news viewership across both total day and prime time. The network averaged 2.4 million viewers in weekday prime time—enough to beat CBS, a broadcast network available to a far larger audience. “The Five” led cable news with 3.7 million viewers, followed by “Jesse Watters Primetime,” the 8 p.m. show hosted by Jesse Watters, also a co-host of “The Five”. Greg Gutfeld’s late-night show rounded out the top three, averaging an audience of 2.1 million. “Gutfeld”  outperformed both late-night rivals Stephen Colbert on CBS and Jimmy Fallon on ABC. America’s Scouting Tradition Should Be About Moral Principles, Not Shifting Ideology

Once again, Scouting America is in the headlines–and unsurprisingly, it appears the organization is weighing whether its convictions are negotiable.  This time, the Department of War is reportedly reviewing its longstanding relationship with the Boy Scouts of America, now rebranded as “Scouting America.” The War Department has raised concerns that the organization’s recent embrace of DEI initiatives and gender ideology runs counter to the values of the current administration and the department itself. And suddenly, Scouting America is signaling it may “reconcile” its practices in order to preserve that partnership. But Americans should not be fooled. We’ve seen this story before. I founded American Heritage Girls nearly 30 years ago because I could already see the cultural pressures mounting against traditional scouting. It wasn’t because America needed less scouting–it was because girls needed a scout-type program rooted firmly in God, truth, and timeless moral principles. Even then, it was clear that the very foundations that made scouting strong were being treated as optional. Today, what has happened to once-iconic organizations like the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the USA is nothing short of devastating. In the name of being “inclusive,” “modern,” and on the so-called “right side of history,” they have rewritten membership standards, diluted duty to God, and replaced timeless values with shifting cultural trends. But shifting sands are no foundation at all. Scouting was never meant to reflect whatever ideology happens to dominate the headlines. It was designed to build character, cultivate leadership, and strengthen families and communities. Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of scouting, called it “applied Christianity.” It was a movement built on duty, discipline, service, courage, and moral clarity. Yet today, moral clarity has been replaced by moral relativism. We now live in a world where “morally straight” has been redefined, “boy” and “girl” are treated as interchangeable concepts, and truth is determined by feelings rather than reality. The Boy Scouts are no longer for boys, and the Girl Scouts openly permit boys who identify as girls to participate. Whatever one’s political views, this is undeniably confusing for parents–and especially for impressionable children. And it raises a serious question: if scouting can’t even define what a boy or girl is, how can it form them into men and women of integrity? This is why claims of returning to “core values” ring hollow. When Scouting America now suggests it may be shifting again–this time away from DEI and gender ideology–it doesn’t represent conviction. It represents calculation. When principles are treated like a dial that can be turned depending on who holds the purse strings, the message to families is unmistakable: the organization’s values are for sale. And if money or political pressure can force a “return” to traditional values today, what will push them back in the other direction tomorrow? History tells us exactly what will happen. Scouting America will fold like a lawn chair. They have done it before. They will do it again. That’s the danger of building a youth program on cultural approval rather than on truth. An organization untethered from fixed moral principles will always drift — because drift is the natural consequence of abandoning the anchor. The need in America is not new, but it is urgent. Parents are desperate for something steady, trustworthy, and true. Children deserve more than shifting standards and rebranded promises. They deserve institutions that are willing to stand firm, even when it costs them. Scouting can still be a powerful force for good. The traditions of service, outdoor adventure, leadership development and community engagement remain deeply valuable. But the strength of scouting has never been in its uniforms or badges — it has been in its unwavering commitment to truth. If Scouting America truly wants to return to its core values, it must do more than issue statements or adjust language when government contracts are on the line. It must demonstrate a willingness to stand on principle regardless of cultural pressure or financial consequence. Because once a movement trades conviction for convenience, the erosion doesn’t stop on its own. And if scouting is going to shape the next generation, it must return not to what is popular but to what is Godly and true — something American Heritage Girls has been putting into practice for 30 years. We publish a variety of perspectives. Nothing written here is to be construed as representing the views of The Daily Signal.  The post America’s Scouting Tradition Should Be About Moral Principles, Not Shifting Ideology appeared first on The Daily Signal.

H1-B SCAM investigation gets more bizarre as police bodycam footage is released

In BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales’ first expose of potential H-1B visa fraud, she looked into Cubits Tech Systems business location — and was greeted by an angry man who immediately called 911 on her.Gonzales left the property without incident, but after requesting the bodycam footage from the police after their encounter with the man, she learned that he spun an entirely different story to the cops than what actually occurred. “Some lady, they came, and they are asking me about my company information, myself, and where is your company, 10 people are working here. All of this information they are asking I am so kind of afraid,” the man told police.“I think some hate is going on. Something hate, something is going on,” the man continued, adding that Gonzales was full of rage as she asked him questions. While Gonzales never once asked to go inside the house while she was speaking with the employer, he told police that she said “let me go inside” to him, and that when he closed the door, she was knocking “very loud.”“So now you’re hearing this Oscar-worthy performance that I went up there and banged on his door, and I tried to get into his house, and I was like, ‘Where are the workers? Where are your workers?’ That’s the picture that he painted for the officers. He also said that I threatened him,” Gonzales says.“Now I’d like to just remind you that faking an emergency call is a crime. It’s a serious crime. It refers to intentionally providing false or misleading information to emergency services such as 911 to elicit a response from police, fire, or medical personnel,” she continues. The employer also updated the location of his business, which is now in a more legitimate office building. However when Gonzales went to this address, all she found was an empty single room with a couple of card tables and a single chair.“Certainly not any workers there,” she continues, asking, “Which again begs the question, where are the workers?"Want more from Sara Gonzales? To enjoy more of Sara's no-holds-barred takes on news and culture, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
