Rod Stewart’s Children Reunite To Honor Him At The 2025 AMAs

Rod Stewart’s happiness at the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas knew no bounds as his children honored him on stage. The legendary singer received the Lifetime Achievement Award, but what made it even more meaningful was a surprise appearance by five of his children. At 80 years old, the singer was moved as he walked onto the stage at the Fontainebleau, only to find five of his eight children waiting to celebrate him. Kimberly, 45; Sean, 44; Ruby, 37; Renee, 32; and Liam, 30, stood together to celebrate their father’s legacy. Each of them spoke briefly, with pride and affection for the man they call “Papa Stew.” Rod Stewart’s family reunites at the 2025 AMAs             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by American Music Awards (@amas)   The tribute began with a short video that looked back at Rod Stewart’s life and decades in music, from his early hits to his later songs. Then came the family. The reunion caught Stewart completely off guard, and his reaction made the moment memorable. Rod Stewart shares Kimberly and Sean with ex-wife Alana Stewart. He shares Ruby with his former partner, Kelly Emberg, and Renee and Liam with his ex-wife, Rachel Hunter. His three other children include Sarah, 61, whom he shares with Susannah Boffey, and his two youngest sons, Alastair, 19, and Aiden, 14, from his current marriage to Penny Lancaster. The appearance of his children touched Stewart, who admitted he was stunned and thought the tribute had been pre-recorded. Despite the emotional moment, the singer still managed to make some humorous remarks before expressing his deep gratitude for the award and those who had helped him along the way. Rod Stewart/Instagram Music career As the ceremony neared its end, Stewart acknowledged his humble beginning, musical roots, and those who inspired him, naming artists like Sam Cooke and Muddy Waters as influences in his life. Then he performed one of his songs, “Forever Young.” Rod Stewart in concert, circa late 1970s-early 1980s/Everett Collection The same evening, Stewart’s daughter, Kimberly, showcased her baby bump during the family’s time on stage. She is expecting her second child and has shared the news publicly, but kept the name of the baby’s father private. Her first child, Delilah, 13, is from her previous relationship with actor Benicio Del Toro. Bindi Irwin Is ‘Fighting’ To Stay Healthy For Her Family After Undergoing Emergency Surgery

Bindi Irwin is taking time to heal after an unexpected health scare earlier this month. What started as a painful appendix turned into something much more. She was rushed into emergency surgery and had to miss the annual Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas. While the main concern was her appendix, doctors found more health issues during surgery. Alongside removing the appendix, they discovered 14 new lesions tied to her endometriosis, a condition Bindi has been battling for over 12 years. This recent operation also included the repair of a hernia she developed during childbirth. Bindi Irwin has had more than just one surgery             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Bindi Irwin (@bindisueirwin)   This was not the first time Bindi faced surgery for endometriosis. Two years ago, doctors removed 37 lesions and a cyst. Still, her pain returned. It was persistent and worsening. On the day of the gala, she knew she could not ignore it anymore and decided to get help. She flew to New York to meet with a trusted specialist, Dr. Seckin and underwent another surgery. Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and she’s now recovering. Bindi shared part of her journey online, explaining that she is being open so more women can feel seen and heard. “I’ve battled with endometriosis for more than 12 years,” she wrote. “We need to raise awareness and change the narrative for women’s health.” Bindi Irwin/Instagram Bindi Irwin’s biggest motivation is her family Through it all, Bindi’s biggest motivation has been her family. Her husband, Chandler Powell, shared a message online, calling her “a warrior in every sense of the word.” He praised her strength and said he and their daughter, Grace, are thankful for everything she does. Bindi Irwin, Chandler Powell, and their daughter, Grace/Instagram Bindi replied with just as much love: “My hope is to be healthy for our family. I love you so much.” For Bindi, it is not just about feeling better, it is about helping others find hope as well. By being open, she is making space for women who have been suffering quietly to feel seen and heard. Paul Reubens Hid His Terminal Cancer Diagnosis From Documentary Director

Paul Reubens, known as the beloved Pee-wee Herman, spent his final months helping to create a documentary about his life, never revealing that he was seriously ill. The actor died in 2023 at age 70 after privately battling cancer for several years, a fact that even the film’s director did not know until after his passing. The two-part HBO documentary Pee-wee as Himself came to life after Reubens sat for more than 40 hours of interviews with filmmaker Matt Wolf. Together, they reflected on his unique career, from childhood memories to the highs and lows of fame. But throughout the process, Reubens kept his cancer diagnosis hidden, even from the director he had grown close to. Paul Reubens’ cancer diagnosis             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Max (@streamonmax)   Matt Wolf shared that he had sensed something was off in their last conversation. He was scheduled to conduct a final interview with Reubens just days after his death, but had no idea it would be the last. Only a few close friends knew about Reubens’ condition; the public, along with Wolf, learned of his passing at the same time. Despite his illness, Reubens remained focused on the documentary. He was eager to tell his story in his own words and took an active role in shaping how it would unfold. He spoke about his early career, the creation of Pee-wee Herman, and the impact of fame, sharing some difficult moments, including his arrest in 1991 and subsequent legal troubles in 2001. Matt Wolf hoped to explore more with Reubens in their final planned interview. He had wanted to reflect on the entire journey they had taken together on camera, how Reubens felt about reliving these experiences, and what he had discovered about himself through it all. But the opportunity never came. In those pages, he found the closing words spoken by Reubens. He described himself as a “vessel” for everything he had loved and seen growing up, proud to have shared that through his work. The documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
