The Left is pushing a narrative that violent crime is not increasing. Of course‚ this contradicts what we see happening on the nightly news with our own eyes. So‚ who are we to believe? In the words of Chico Marx‚ “Who you gonna believe‚ me or your lying eyes?” Even the FBI has joined in gaslighting us about who is committing crime. This is what our “lying eyes” are seeing: gangs of looters surging into stores‚ smashing display cases‚ grabbing expensive items‚ and then racing off in waiting cars; immigrants beating and kicking police officers on the street; violent criminals set free with no bail who then go on to commit heinous crimes; the National Guard being deployed to protect passengers on New York subways. (READ MORE from Pat Nolan: Will Democrats Finally Address the Mental Health Crisis?) Yet‚ despite what we see with our own eyes‚ the liberal establishment wants us to believe that violent crimes are not increasing. These “experts” are “gaslighting” us — psychologically manipulating us by trying to cast doubt on what we see. Don’t buy their propaganda. They cherry pick statistics to buttress their false narrative. Mark Twain put it well‚ “There are three kinds of lies: lies‚ damned lies‚ and statistics.” Liberals “cook the books” on crime by carefully selecting which data will lead to their preordained conclusion. For instance‚ The Third Way‚ a Democrat group‚ deliberately chose to analyze murder rates at the state level to reach the counterintuitive conclusion that‚ “The murder rate in the 25 states that voted for Donald Trump has exceeded the murder rate in the 25 states that voted for Joe Biden in every year from 2000 to 2020.” The problem with this analysis is that crime is inherently local. A high crime city can be in the same state as other much safer areas. Hence‚ Sayville‚ New York on Long Island is much safer than the Bronx‚ New York. So‚ a fair analysis would assess the number of murders committed in each community‚ not statewide. However‚ that would not produce the numbers the Third Way wanted. So‚ they analyzed them by state‚ to arrive at a starkly different conclusion than if they had looked at murders by county. When analyzed by counties‚ the murder rate in Biden counties is much higher than in the Trump counties (5.97 vs 2.58 per 100‚000). In fact‚ the Biden counties have murder rates that are 131 percent higher. Digging deeper into the statistics‚ even in Trump states. the county breakdown shows clearly that higher murder rates are driven by the murder rates in Biden counties. For example‚ Missouri‚ which Trump carried‚ has both urban areas as well as rural counties. A CBS News investigation found that Missouri contains two of the “deadliest U.S. cities.” St. Louis had the highest murder rate in the nation‚ with 64.54 murders per 100‚000 residents. Kansas City was close behind with the eighth-highest murder rate at 29.88 murders per 100‚000. The FBI reports that Missouri had about 520 murders in major metropolitan areas that year. On the other hand‚ 20 were committed in cities outside metropolitan areas‚ and 28 were in nonmetropolitan counties. So‚ the large (deep blue) cities accounted for 91 percent of the murders in Missouri. Lest you think I am cherry picking stats‚ the same holds true for other red states: Tennessee (Memphis‚ Chattanooga‚ Nashville)‚ Alabama‚ (Birmingham and Tuscaloosa)‚ Kentucky (Louisville)‚ Arkansas (Little Rock)‚ and Mississippi (Jackson). All those cities had high murder rates‚ ranging from 11.66 to 50.62 per 100‚000 people‚ and had Democratic Mayors. Without those cities‚ the states’ murder rates would drop significantly. Do you notice a pattern emerging here? (READ MORE: Prisoner Rape Is No Joke) There is another serious problem with the crime statistics — they probably undercount the number of violent crimes because many large cities didn’t provide their crime statistics to the FBI. In fact‚ over 7‚000 cities (representing about 35 percent of the population of the U.S.)‚ did not submit their crime figures to the FBI. Among those that didn’t report were violent crime hotspots like New York and Los Angeles. According to crimereport.com‚ “Most of the missing jurisdictions appear to be Democrat-run areas with some of the largest increases and thus the increase in murders in Democrat jurisdictions might be underestimated.” Ya think? Even the FBI has joined in gaslighting us about who is committing crime. In a recent post warning about the problems caused by organized retail theft‚ the FBI chose a picture of two middle-class women in designer clothes to portray retail thieves. What a joke! Once again‚ our “lying eyes” tell us that those aren’t the people looting stores. A hint to the FBI: to regain credibility‚ stop pretending that women such as the ones pictured are the reason the laundry detergent is locked up at Walmart. In short‚ we trust our “lying eyes‚” not your propaganda. California Gov. Gavin Newsom has reversed a decision to parole Royce Miller‚ convicted of second-degree murder for strangling San Francisco high-school student Maxina Danner in 2004. Those who believe this signals a tougher approach on violent crime have a few things to consider. So far‚ no … change in the sanctuary law that gives protection … to “all who seek it‚” including cop-killers such Mendoza and Bracamontes. In late 2018‚ a criminal illegal calling himself Paulo Virgen Mendoza shot dead Newman‚ California police officer Ronil “Ron” Singh‚ a legal immigrant who came to the United States to work in law enforcement. Governor-elect Newsom‚ a supporter of California’s sanctuary law‚ made no appearance at Singh’s funeral and failed to condemn the murder as an act of gun violence. (READ MORE from Lloyd Billingsley: California Failed the Lab Test — And More Illegal Chinese Biolabs May Exist Across the Country One of Newsom’s first acts as governor was to reprieve 737 condemned murderers on California’s death row. The beneficiaries of Newsom’s act included sadistic kidnapper Charles Ng‚ convicted of 11 murders; “Tool box killer” Lawrence Bittaker and his partner Roy Norris; and Luis Bracamontes‚ who murdered Sacramento deputies Danny Oliver and Michael Davis in 2014. “A real leader would say ‘let me listen to this case by case‚’” contended Steve Herr‚ whose son Sam was murdered in 2010. Jeri Oliver‚ father of slain deputy Danny Oliver‚ dared Newsom “to meet with me and I can give you some facts that you don’t want to hear.” The governor‚ who is not a lawyer and played no role in any of the trials‚ ignored all pleas to reverse his decision. Gavin Newsom is on record that recurring governor Jerry Brown‚ who appointed Newsom’s father to superior and appeal court judgeships‚ is the greatest political mind “in our lifetime.”  Toward the end of his fourth term‚ Brown faced Senate Bill 1391‚ which prohibited the prosecution of anyone under 16 as an adult‚ regardless of the gravity of their crime. “The opposition of certain crime victims and their families to this bill is intense‚” Brown wrote‚ “I have carefully listened to that opposition and it has weighed on me.” The victims’ opposition couldn’t have weighed much because Brown signed the measure. As a result‚ anyone in California under age 16 can murder any number of people‚ be prosecuted only in juvenile court‚ and gain release on their 25th birthday. That is certain to weigh on the people‚ but Brown and Newsom hold no monopoly on leniency toward violent criminals. In 2008‚ Esteban Nuñez‚ son of Assembly Speaker Fabian Nuñez‚ was convicted of manslaughter for the stabbing death of San Diego State University student Luis Santos and sentenced to 16 years in prison. In 2011‚ on his last day in office‚ Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger‚ commuted Nuñez’s sentence to seven years. Fred Santos‚ father of the slain student‚ told reporters‚ “Schwarzenegger stabbed him in the back after he was killed.” Judge Lloyd Connelly called the decision‚ “repugnant to the bulk of the citizenry of this state.” In Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story‚ released in 2012‚ the former governor claimed‚ “we made a hell of a lot of progress‚ and we made a lot of history.” On his watch‚ the former action star wrote‚ “we made our state an international leader in climate change” and “the fight against obesity‚” but no mention of the favor for Fabian Nuñez and criminal son Esteban. So far‚ no reversal of that decision and no change in the sanctuary law that gives protection‚ as Newsom said‚ to “all who seek it‚” including cop-killers such Mendoza and Bracamontes. During the next couple of months‚ so many amazing things are going to be happening in the heavens.  For example‚ during the Great American Eclipse of 2024 on April 8th‚ the sun‚ the moon and the seven other planets in our solar system will all line up in the sky.  It is almost as if the entire solar system will be screaming that this is a once in a lifetime event.  But before we get to April 8th‚ there will be some other absolutely incredible things happening in the skies above our heads.  On March 25th‚ we will witness a penumbral lunar eclipse.  The following comes from Wikipedia… A penumbral lunar eclipse will take place on Monday‚ March 25‚ 2024. It will be visible to the naked eye as 95.57% of the Moon will be immersed in Earth’s penumbral shadow. Since so much attention has been focused on the Great American Eclipse of 2024 on April 8th‚ this other eclipse has kind of snuck up on us. Apparently‚ much of the planet will be able to view this lunar eclipse… It will be fully visible from most of the Americas‚ will be seen rising over Australia and eastern Asia‚ and setting over western parts of Africa and Europe. Interestingly‚ this will also be a “blood moon” eclipse‚ and so to many people the moon will appear to have a reddish color… In the upcoming lunar eclipse‚ the Earth’s shadow will block out 97% of the moon’s surface. This eclipse will be a “blood moon‚” the result of atmospheric conditions that give the moon a reddish tint rather than black when it moves into the shadow. The red color comes from some of the sunlight passing through Earth’s atmosphere where it gets bent and colors like blue and green are filtered out‚ leaving behind longer wavelengths like the color red. On top of everything else‚ this “blood moon” eclipse also coincides with Purim. The first day of Purim goes from sundown on March 23rd to sundown on March 24th. The second day of Purim goes from sundown on March 24th to sundown on March 25th. So this is going to be a “blood moon Purim eclipse”‚ and Pastor Mark Biltz believes that it is quite appropriate that the moon will be eclipsed on Purim… The first lunar eclipse on March 25 will coincide with the Jewish holiday of Purim. Biltz noted that it was fitting that the moon should be eclipsed on Purim‚ as Esther literally means “hidden.” There is another connection with Purim that I didn’t learn about until today. According to the Supernatural By Design YouTube Channel‚ the dates that eclipses occur in 2024 align almost perfectly with the dates that eclipses occurred in 480 BC… The individual behind the Supernatural By Design YouTube Channel seems to think that the most important events in the Book of Esther took place in 480 BC. I am not sure if that is true or not. It is generally accepted that the events in the Book of Esther took place between 483 BC and 473 BC. So it is entirely possible that the showdown with Haman happened in 480 BC. In his video‚ he tries to make a number of other connections between what is happening in our time and what happened in Esther’s time.  I don’t agree with everything that he has to say‚ but if you want to watch the entire video you can find it right here… There is certainly a lot in that video that can be debated. But what we do know is that a blood moon eclipse will occur on the second day of Purim this year. And in the Book of Esther we read that Purim was a time when God delivered the people of Israel from being destroyed by their enemies. Could this blood moon eclipse during Purim be a sign that the people of Israel are about to be delivered once again? That is a good question. We also know that in late March “the Devil Comet” will be racing through the sky as this blood moon eclipse is happening. In fact‚ it is being reported that it is possible that this comet “could be visible to the naked eye” at that time… Look up into the night sky this month‚ and you’ll get a glimpse of a massive comet that could be visible to the naked eye. According to Space.com‚ the comet 12P/Pons-Brooks‚ also known as the “devil comet‚” will be visible to most people on Earth while it completes its 71-year orbit around the sun. Known as an ice volcano comet‚ according to NASA‚ its passage near the sun prompts it to erupt from exposure to solar radiation‚ which cracks open large icy shells that deliver a show of ice and gas shooting out of the base‚ making the comet appear larger and brighter as it gets closer to Earth. This comet only comes around once every 71 years. So it is a pretty big deal. According to the New York Post‚ those of us living in the northern hemisphere will want to view it in either late March of during the month of April because it will move out of sight in May… But by the end of March‚ the comet may be able to be seen with the naked eye at dusk in the Northern Hemisphere against the zodiacal constellation Aries in the western horizon‚ according to Space.com. It will continue to make its extraordinarily bright presence known during next month’s total solar eclipse and by April 21‚ will arrive at its closest distance to the sun before fading from sight in the Northern Hemisphere in May. It will then be visible from the Southern Hemisphere before disappearing from view from Earth until 2095 again. So the run of “the Devil Comet” will be taking place during the “blood moon Purim eclipse” on March 25th and the total solar eclipse on April 8th. Is that just a coincidence? And let me throw one more thing at you. NASA is telling us that at some point between right now and September‚ a star that is 3‚000 light years away will explode. That explosion will be so bright that it will actually be visible to the naked eye in the northern hemisphere… Between now and September‚ have your eyes peeled for a truly spectacular night show. Not for regular old fireworks‚ that is‚ but for a rare celestial event: a nova explosion from 3‚000 light years away that’s predicted to flare into our night sky and become visible to our naked eyes in the Northern Hemisphere. NASA says the nova explosion‚ which is essentially when a binary star system explodes‚ will emanate from the T Coronae Borealis star system and will be as bright as the North Star for around a week. Like I said‚ there is certainly going to be a lot going on in the heavens during the months ahead. And I believe that all of these “signs in the heavens” are meant to tell us something. In fact‚ that is why I put the path of the Great American Eclipse of 2024 on the cover of my latest book. In Luke chapter 21‚ Jesus specifically told us that there would be “signs in the sun‚ and in the moon‚ and in the stars” in the days just before His return. We may not understand everything perfectly right now‚ but we should be watching‚ because Jesus instructed us to watch. The things that are about to happen in the heavens are absolutely fascinating‚ and many believe that they have enormous implications for 2024 and beyond.
