These 220+ Bank Branches Have Closed SO FAR in 2024

Author of How to Prep When You’re Broke and Bloom Where You’re Planted online course It’s not a great sign if your bank is closing branches all over the country. And that’s the case for many banks in the United States in 2024‚ in particular Bank of America‚ US Bank‚ and Citizens‚ which have had the most closures thus far. In all‚ 222 bank branches have closed in the first two months of the year‚ and if it keeps up at this rate‚ we’ll be looking at the closure of around 1300 branches. Why are these branches closing? If you’re wondering why the branches are closing‚ the answer‚ of course‚ is money. With each branch closure‚ they save on salaries and overhead. There are no employees to pay‚ no rent is owed‚ and no utility bills are racked up. It’s been estimated that Bank of America’s 41 branch closures saved them over $100 million. I think it’s also a worrisome sign that these changes have needed to occur. We’ve talked often on this website about the looming failure of our American economy‚ and this seems to be a signal that things aren’t as great as President Biden wants us to believe. I’m personally a strong believer in putting my savings into gold and silver at this point because I simply no longer feel that the dollar is a viable unit of savings. If you’re interested in learning more about how to do this‚ you can call my friends at ITM Trading absolutely free and discuss it with them. There’s no pressure at all – it’s merely educational – and I think you owe it to yourself to learn how to protect your savings in the months ahead. It’s causing issues – particularly for people with lower incomes. Of course‚ as with most economic crises‚ folks with less money are hit harder and hit first. According to a report on CNBC‚ these branch closures are causing “banking deserts.” This is sort of like food deserts‚ where there aren’t enough sources of healthful whole food in an area‚ but for financial services. The ramifications of banks suddenly disappearing from communities aren’t surface-level either — affected residents now have to drive farther to make a simple deposit or withdraw cash‚ which takes more time‚ for example. The consolidation of bank branches is also creating “banking deserts‚” when communities are without access to a bank or credit union within 10 miles. Several studies have shown these communities are more likely to use non-traditional and high-fee lending options such as payday loans and check-cashing services‚ which increases financial inequities and ends up widening the wealth gap. I also foresee future closures causing problems for people who live in more remote areas if the trend continues. What bank branches have closed? Interestingly‚ the list I have came from Great Britain News. I was not able to find a similar list of branches in the American media. (I’m sure that’s just fine. Nothing to see here‚ right?) It’s a much larger issue. What does this mean? There are a few different ways we can look at this‚ but the thing that comes to mind to me is that if more people are forced into doing their banking transactions digitally‚ then the switch to CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies) will be even more seamless. If our currency were to move to a digital one‚ network of control would be complete‚ as the government would be able to access absolutely every dime you spend‚ block expenditures‚ and much more. (You can read about it here.) Is this definitely what’s going to happen? Well‚ I don’t have a crystal ball but it really seems like everything is pushing us this way. We’re rapidly moving into a world that values digital efficiency over the human touch‚ what with self-checkout at stores and ordering kiosks at restaurants. If we take away the human face of banking and replace it with a laptop or a phone screen‚ it’s just another step toward the technocracy‚ in my mind. I can’t caution you strongly enough – the writing really is on the wall. If you’re planning to make a move to precious metals‚ you will need to do it soon. The prices of metals will go up dramatically when these changes begin to occur‚ and you’ll want to have yours before that price skyrockets. Here’s the place I recommend and trust. We can say we refuse to participate in the CBDC system‚ but if your money is in the bank you will not have an option. There would be a lot of things you can’t do at all if you aren’t using CBDCs if that system comes into play. I don’t think we’ll be able to reasonably avoid all of it. I think the goal is to limit your use of it. Step by step‚ we are marching toward a future that most of us do not want. We’re watching it happen in real-time. We have to do everything possible to make that future more difficult for the powers that be to force upon us. Has your local branch been affected by these closures? Have you seen your bank affected by closures? Do you have to drive further for banking services or do things online that you’d prefer to do in person? What are your thoughts about the bank branch closures? Do you believe it’s a sign of more trouble to come? Let’s discuss it in the comments section. Starshield: SpaceX Is Reportedly Working On A Classified Project For The US Government

Elon Musk's space company SpaceX is working on a classified project for the US Government‚ according to a new report from Reuters. The firm‚ responsible for internet-providing satellite network Starlink‚ signed a $1.8 billion classified contract with an unknown government agency in 2021‚ as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Musk confirmed in 2023 that SpaceX is working on "Starshield". The project "leverages SpaceX's Starlink technology and launch capability to support national security efforts‚" SpaceX explains on its website. "While Starlink is designed for consumer and commercial use‚ Starshield is designed for government use."SpaceX continues that the three initial areas of focus are Earth observation‚ communications‚ and hosted payloads."Starlink needs to be a civilian network‚ not a participant to combat. Starshield will be owned by the US government and controlled by DoD Space Force‚" Musk wrote on X (Twitter)‚ adding‚ "Starlink needs to be a civilian network‚ not a participant to combat."   Reuters reports that the contract SpaceX signed is with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)‚ the government agency responsible for managing spy satellites. According to sources who spoke to the news agency‚ Musk's firm is creating a network of hundreds of satellites that can operate as a swarm in low-Earth orbit‚ capable of imaging the Earth below."The National Reconnaissance Office is developing the most capable‚ diverse‚ and resilient space-based intelligence‚ surveillance‚ and reconnaissance system the world has ever seen‚" the NRO said in a statement seen by Reuters. The specific capabilities of the satellite network are unknown‚ with both SpaceX and the NRO declining to comment on the specifics of the project. However‚ a source told Reuters that "no one can hide" from the system's reach.

Mystery of the Philadelphia Experiment – Did Al Bielek travel to the future?

he Philadelphia Experiment has been a subject of long controversy‚ debate and blurry vision. The basis is‚ it was an experiment conducted by the Navy to create a ship that couldn’t be detected by magnetic mines and radar. In other words‚ they wanted to render a ship invisible. The Philadelphia Experiment has also been associated with several invisibility projects and mind-control experiments. While the actual truth behind the experiment can never be known‚ we rely on what little information was leaked out or given out by people claiming to be witnesses to the project‚ or otherwise members of the project… This premium content is for PLUS+ members only. Near the star where water was discovered‚ astronomers have found a third planet

Currently‚ astronomers have confirmed the existence of 5‚599 exoplanets outside the solar system. Another 10‚157 objects are awaiting exoplanet candidate status. In a new study published in the journal Astronomy &; Astrophysics‚ astronomers examined the protoplanetary disk surrounding the star PDS 70. Two planets had previously been discovered there‚ as well as large concentrations of water vapor‚ indicating the possibility of the formation of Earth-like worlds covered in water. Now scientists have discovered a third planet. All three worlds have a unique orbital resonance‚ reports Universe Today. The star PDS 70 is located at a distance of 370 light years from us and is very young by cosmic standards‚ being between 5.3 and 5.5 million years old. By studying the protoplanetary disk of gas and dust surrounding the star‚ astronomers have found evidence of a third planet in the system‚ which is still in its formation stage. The Webb Space Telescope was used for this. As Focus already wrote ‚ last year astronomers discovered water in the form of water vapor at a distance of 160 million km from the star. Considering that water is located at almost the same distance from the Sun where the Earth arose‚ there was an assumption that the same planet could appear there. In any case‚ these data may change the understanding of how water appeared on Earth and how planets similar to it are formed. Although past evidence has pointed to the presence of a third planet near PDS 70‚ in addition to the two already discovered‚ it is only now that astronomers have found confirmation that it most likely exists there‚ although it is still forming. But for now the exoplanet is in the status of a candidate for this title‚ and if the observations are confirmed by the following studies‚ then it will most likely receive the name PDS 70 d‚ because two already known planets are called PDS 70 b and PDS 70 c. The study authors believe that a third planet near the star PDS 70 may be in a 1:2:4 orbital resonance with the planets PDS 70 b and PDS 70 c. That is‚ its orbital period will be almost exactly two and four times shorter than those of the other two planets. This can be observed in the Solar System‚ where the three moons of Jupiter (Ganymede‚ Europa and Io) are also in an orbital resonance of 1:2:4. That there is a star system with three planets in this orbital relationship is an extremely important discovery‚ but this still needs to be confirmed. Scientists say the new research could help better understand how planetary systems form and evolve. By observing young star systems at different stages of formation‚ astronomers hope to test different theories about how the solar system came to be. Havana syndrome symptoms are real‚ but they leave no imprint on the brain

A new government study involved more than 80 victims of Havana syndrome . Scientists note that their results did not reveal any signs of traumatic brain injury‚ but found “real symptoms” of the mysterious illness‚ which the team called “very profound” and “disabling‚” reports the Daily Mail. The results of the study show that among the real symptoms of the disease were constant dizziness and problems with balance – these were observed in 28% of embassy employees and other patients examined. However‚ not the entire scientific community agrees with the results of the new study. According to a Georgetown neuroscientist who conducted early research into the syndrome for the Pentagon’s Special Operations Command‚ the new findings risk creating “the false conclusion that there is nothing going on in people’s brains.” Dr. James Giordano‚ who teaches neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington‚ said the new study’s findings are consistent with his own work conducted in 2017-18 for the U.S. Special Operations Command. The team then discovered persistent problems in the functions of the human brain‚ but not in its structure. In fact‚ the consequences of the “Havana syndrome” were comparable to the consequences of a “mini-stroke”. Dr. Giordano believes that Havana syndrome is a disorder of neurological function that results in multiple consequences‚ including physiological effects that manifest themselves cognitively‚ motorically‚ and behaviorally. The results disprove the theory that the symptoms of Havana syndrome victims are explained by “mass hysteria.” The neurologist compares the findings to a variety of other long-term brain diseases in which physical evidence of damage quickly disappears. Dr. Giordano notes that some initial changes may be seen during a transient ischemic attack‚ but they will subside over time. Cases of “decompression sickness‚” or bends‚ he noted‚ also manifest as mini-strokes or Havana syndrome‚ causing long-term impairment of brain function that is not accompanied by visible forms of long-term damage. In the new study‚ the team performed MRI scans on 81 of 86 State Department employees and their adult family members who reported “abnormal health incidents.” Next‚ the scientists compared the MRI results of the study participants with the MRI results of 48 recipients from the control group. The results showed no differences between the MRIs of the study participants and the control group‚ although the scientists noted that they could not rule out the temporary injury described by Dr. Giordano. At the same time‚ 24 patients with “Havana syndrome” showed verifiable signs of a condition known as “persistent postural-perceptual vertigo.” This condition can be caused by inner ear problems or stress‚ and occurs when the brain’s networks are unable to communicate properly. This is a functional problem that occurs without permanent signs of brain damage. Co-author of the new study‚ neuropsychologist Dr. Louis French‚ describes the condition as a form of “maladaptive response.” In simple terms‚ the scientist compares this condition to what occurs in patients who slouch to relieve back pain. However‚ even after the pain is eliminated‚ these people continue to have problems with posture. Despite the absence of scarring on MRIs‚ scientists concluded that victims of Havana syndrome actually have real symptoms and are “going through a difficult time.” The team also insists that symptoms can be profound‚ disabling and difficult to treat. One of Skarner’s skins now costs more in League of Legends

If there's one thing I love about the League of Legends Skarner rework‚ it's his lore changes. From a purple crystalline blob to a tribal-inspired creature of nightmares‚ the newly appointed Primordial Sovereign looks pretty damn cool - and that's without a skin. While Cosmic Sting has become my new favorite‚ Earthrune‚ an old 520RP skin (remember those?) from 2011‚ is a close second. Where it once looked pretty clunky‚ it's now absolutely stunning‚ but it comes with a catch.
