From President Joe Biden and the U.S. Department of Defense to the MLB, NASCAR, and even Sesame Street, the annual homage to “Pride Month” went into full gear on Saturday. Pride Month, celebrated annually in June, has turned into a massive display by companies, celebrities, and politicians seeking to show their support for the LGBT community from June 1 to June 30. As with years past, Pride parades are also scheduled in cities and towns across the U.S. where lesbian, gay, and trans-identifying people will celebrate their sexual identities in the streets while waving rainbow flags. “For generations, LGBTQI+ Americans have summoned the courage to live proudly – even when it meant putting their lives at risk,” President Joe Biden tweeted first thing Saturday morning. “This Pride Month, we recommit to realizing the promise of America for all, to celebrating LGBTQI+ people, and to taking pride in the example they set.” For generations, LGBTQI+ Americans have summoned the courage to live proudly – even when it meant putting their lives at risk. “Goodfellas” actor Frank Sivero isn’t a household name, but this week he shamed his famous peers. The veteran actor came to the defense of the 1990 mob classic starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and the late Ray Liotta. Director Martin Scorsese’s film is considered one of his film canon’s highlights, on par with the greatest mobster stories ever told.     AMC added a trigger warning to the film and several others in 2020 during the rise of Black Lives Matter. News of the “Goodfellas” warning went viral earlier this month. “This film includes language and/or cultural stereotypes that are inconsistent with today’s standards of inclusion and tolerance and may offend some viewers.” Sivero, who plays mob enforcer Frankie Carbone in the drama, lashed out at AMC during an interview with TMZ. “I’m kind of a little bit perturbed in a way, that AMC that even, AMC even cuts the movie completely, you don’t hear the language, they delete the language, so why are they so upset?”  “I’m a little perturbed because thank God I was able to do my job by improvisation. I created that, I made those moments real, to take the tension away from those gruesome moments.” He’s right, of course, as Andrew Klavan recently noted in a blistering satire on the subject.     So where are De Niro and Scorsese? We know where the “Raging Bull” actor is these days. He’s on the streets of New York City ranting about a second Donald Trump presidency. It’s embarrassing on many levels, including why an A-list actor’s views on the presidential race warrant outsized attention.   De Niro has gone full Travis Bickle. It’s not for a lack of microphones around him.  The same is true for Scorsese. He’s weighed in on more trivial subjects in the past, including his alleged disdain for Marvel movies. He’s 81 and still a feisty, formidable talent. Shouldn’t he be rising up to defend his film? If not him, who else? Doesn’t he realize the chilling effect trigger warnings have on the arts? Apparently not. Or, even a film legend knows defying the woke bylaws that control modern Hollywood isn’t good for business. His in particular.

Tech Crunch reported that Live Nation's ticketing branch Ticketmaster has been hacked. The entertainment giant confirmed the hack by informing government regulators after the markets closed on Friday.Live Nation released a statement saying that the breach had taken place on May 20. Whoever was behind the attack reportedly "offered what it alleged to be Company user data for sale via the dark web." Live Nation did not mention who the personal data belonged to, but it is believed to belong to customers.It is still not clear why it took the company so long to report its findings to the appropriate authorities. 'A single credential resulted in the exfiltration of potentially hundreds of companies that stored their data using Snowflake, with the threat actor himself suggesting 400 companies are impacted.'Live Nation's statement said: "On May 20, 2024, Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (the 'Company' or 'we') identified unauthorized activity within a third-party cloud database environment containing Company data (primarily from its Ticketmaster L.L.C. subsidiary) and launched an investigation with industry-leading forensic investigators to understand what happened.""On May 27, 2024, a criminal threat actor offered what it alleged to be Company user data for sale via the dark web. We are working to mitigate risk to our users and the Company, and have notified and are cooperating with law enforcement."Tech Crunch reported that it contacted a spokesperson for Ticketmaster, who said the stolen database was being hosted on Snowflake—a cloud storage and analytics company based in Boston. However, the spokesperson did not disclose how the data was taken out of Snowflake's systems.On Saturday, Snowflake released a statement of its own, writing: "Snowflake recently observed and is investigating an increase in cyber threat activity targeting some of our customers’ accounts. We believe this is the result of ongoing industry-wide, identity-based attacks with the intent to obtain customer data.""Research indicates that these types of attacks are performed with our customers’ user credentials that were exposed through unrelated cyber threat activity. To date, we do not believe this activity is caused by any vulnerability, misconfiguration, or malicious activity within the Snowflake product," the statement concluded.Cybersecurity firm Hudson Rock stated: "To put it bluntly, a single credential resulted in the exfiltration of potentially hundreds of companies that stored their data using Snowflake, with the threat actor himself suggesting 400 companies are impacted.""[T]he threat actor shared with Hudson Rock's researchers, which shows the depth of their access to Snowflake servers. This file documents over 2,000 customer instances relating to Snowflake's Europe servers."The administrator of BreachForums—a now-revived cybercrime forum—noted that the personal information of 560 million customers is for sale, including the personal information of Ticketmaster customers.It is unclear what other companies were victims of the attack.Like Blaze News?
