On this day fifty-nine years ago… Guitarist Saul Hudson was born in London. He moved to L.A. with his father when six years old. His parents were both active in the entertainment industry,  Because he “was always in a hurry, zipping around from one thing to another” a child actor/friend nicknamed him ‘Slash’. Slash joined the Glam Metal band Hollywood Rose in ’83.  Two years later, he moved on to Guns N’ Roses (pictured), which was comprised of former members of Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns, replacing founding member Traci Guns. Slash also founded Slash’s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.
