Kensington Palace has issued an update about Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, returning to her royal duties. The 42-year-old wife of United Kingdom heir apparent Prince William announced earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was going through treatments. Middleton originally stepped back from her role in public life in January as she was having abdominal surgery. Cancer was discovered at that time, royal reps said. Most details about the Princess of Wales’s condition have been kept quiet, but the palace issued a rare update this week confirming that she won’t be returning to her public role anytime soon. “The princess is not expected to return to work until it’s cleared by her medical team,” a spokesperson for Middleton said Monday, per Newsweek. “Early childhood will continue to be central to her public work.” Speculation about the royal’s return heated up recently after Princess Kate’s main cause, the Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood, published  a new report identifying a potential £45 billion ($57 billion) boost to the U.K. economy through investing in early childhood, the outlet noted. The report detailed  “Prioritizing early childhood for a happier, healthier society” but did not include a statement from Middleton or mention her involvement.  The foundation is one of several ventures the Princess of Wales is involved in that deal with early childhood, which Kensington Palace confirmed is still the royal family member’s focus when she returns.  Middleton broke her silence in March to reveal her cancer diagnosis after weeks of fan and media speculation about her health. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.” “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” Middleton said. “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”

Police on Long Island are again searching the home of the suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer – this time to tie him to other murders. The 60-year-old suspect, who is not being named by The Daily Wire, has been charged with the murders of four young women: Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, and Amber Costello, who were found on a beach along the south shore of Long Island, New York, back in 2010. The suspect has pleaded not guilty. But their bodies were not the only ones found on Gilgo Beach at that time. The remains of 11 people were found in the Gilgo Beach area, but not all have been connected to the current suspect. “They’re looking to match up previously recovered body parts but that didn’t match any of the identified victims,” a source familiar with the search told the New York Post. The suspect’s wife, who is also not being named by The Daily Wire, reportedly told a neighbor that police “tore the place apart the first time, that there was no stone unturned.” “I don’t know what they could possibly be looking for or they could find this time,” the neighbor added. “You got to move on.” A source also told the Post that the latest search is an attempt to expand the evidence against the suspect, saying the “problem with the case they have is it’s largely circumstantial.” “The physical evidence, meaning the mitochondrial DNA, is not 100%. You still need to be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that [the suspect] was with these victims at a time, a certain location, and you have to put him at the scene wherever that scene may be and doing the act,” the source added. “That is what they are searching for, new evidence for the theory that one or more may have been murdered in his home while his family was away,” the source continued. “But right now, that’s the piece that is missing.” The suspect was arrested on July 13, 2023. Six days after his arrest, his wife filed for divorce. She and other family members reportedly will receive $1 million for participating in a documentary series with Peacock. The project will follow the family’s lives as they cope with the upcoming trial and how it has uprooted their lives. Police investigating the Gilgo Beach serial killings are operating on the theory that the suspect committed the murders in his own home, a source told CNN. The theory is based on the fact that the suspect’s family was out of town during the murders, suggesting he may have lured the victims to his home, a source involved in the investigation told the outlet. Authorities are operating under this theory, the source said, as they continue to search the suspect’s home for trace evidence of the victims. Killing them at his own home would have allowed him to control the environment while having easy access to the materials found along with the victims at Gilgo Beach, such as tape and burlap bags. Four bodies were found within days of each other. The body of Barthelemy was found on December 11, 2010, during a police training exercise with a K9, according to a bail application obtained by the Daily Beast. Two days later, police searched the area and discovered the three other bodies. If convicted, the suspect faces multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Pro-golfer Xander Schauffele, who won his first major last weekend at the PGA Championship, revealed how he and his fellow golfers reacted to Scottie Scheffler’s arrest outside the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday. Scheffler, the No. 1 golfer in the world, was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including second-degree assault of an officer — a felony — after he attempted to get past police who were blocking the road for an accident in front of the golf club entrance. Scheffler was stuck in traffic after a 69-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a shuttle bus in an accident that was unrelated to Scheffler’s arrest. Scheffler released a statement following his arrest, saying, “a very chaotic situation” caused a “big misunderstanding of what I thought I was being asked to do.” Schauffele joined Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast on Wednesday and said that he had a chance to talk to Scheffler after the arrest, adding that the world’s best golfer “handled it really well in Scottie Scheffler fashion.” “He’s a good dude,” Schauffele added. “As soon as I saw it, I thought it was a prank then I saw it on the news, and I was like, ‘Holy smokes this actually happened.'” “It feels like he’s going to come out okay from all of this,” Schauffele said. “It feels like [charges] are going to get dropped. Scheffler’s arraignment, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, was delayed until June 3, ESPN reported. The golfer’s attorney, Steve Romines, said Scheffler will plead not guilty. Comey likewise violated applicable policies and his FBI Employment Agreement by providing copies, following his removal as FBI Director, of the four memos he had kept in his home to his three private attorneys without FBI authorization. Comey also failed to fulfill his obligation to immediately alert the FBI about his disclosures to his private attorneys once he became aware that the FBI, after Comey’s removal, had determined that one of the memos included several words, the names of foreign countries being discussed by the President, that were classified at the CONFIDENTIAL level.

Federal law enforcement officials raided a business in Mississippi on Wednesday owned by Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens. FBI agents seized evidence at Downtown Cigar Company in Jackson, which is owned by Owens — who is backed by Democrat megadonor George Soros. WLBT reported that the FBI also raided Owens’ offices at the Hinds County Courthouse. Over the summer, we will have a planetary parade and will likely have more chances to see the Aurora Borealis. But tonight, the stunning May full moon, also called the Flower Moon, will shine bright. The Farmer’s Almanac began naming the full moons in the 1930s, and we’ve kept with that tradition. The names largely come from Native American tribes, but sometimes they originate from the Colonial Americans. The Flower Moon earned its name because of the abundant flora buds that bloom during the month.
