No One Attempts To Pit The People One Against Another More Than The Powers That Are Tolerated: C-Span Highlights Man Calling For The Extermination Of All White People

‘Pit race against race, religion against religion, prejudice against prejudice. Divide and conquer! We must not let that happen here.” How many times we have highlighted Scripture in understanding that the Lord did not come to save our skin but our souls (Luke 19:10).   Yet, there are those that still play the useful idiots regardless …

“Small Town America Is The Backbone” – Eric Church On Why Building A Community For Hurricane Helene Victims Is So Important To Him

“Small Town America Is The Backbone” – Eric Church On Why Building A Community For Hurricane Helene Victims Is So Important To Him

Just above and beyond what anyone could’ve asked for or expected. Eric Church, alongside Luke Combs and others, helped raise over $24.5 million for residents in western North Carolina that were devastated by historic flooding from Hurricane Helene with their Concert For Carolina benefit show last year, and Eric has gone onto start his Blue Print for the Blue Ridge initiative, which is the umbrella that his Blue Haven community is under. They have been working on that neighborhood in Avery county for months now, where a new community of homes are being built for those who lost everything in the floods. Families should be moving in soon if they haven’t already, and Eric has already purchased more land in the area to start another similar neighborhood because the need is so high. It’s been a massive undertaking, but Eric knew he wanted to use his portion of the money raise to purchase lands and build homes for residents to be able to stay in the place that they love and know. Eric didn’t want to just give the money away for the immediate needs like water and other life necessities, because as he pointed out in an interview with Jimmy Fallon, “America [is] really good at the 911 part” of immediate help, but the longer road to helping so many recover is much more complex and difficult: “That’s home for me. That’s where my soul is at rest. and when hurricane Helene happened, I’m from western North Carolina, and to see what happened there, the devastation, just was… I’ve never seen anything like it. And as we started to try to help, we did a ‘Concert for Carolina’ in Charlotte, myself, Luke Combs, James Taylor, Billy Strings all got together. We all got together and played, raised a bunch of money, and when we started to figure out how to allocate the money, the biggest question I had is, you know, obviously, where’s my portion of the money going? And in America, we’re really good at the 911 part. The water, and the diapers, and the right now. But we’re not real good at how we keep these communities together.” He went onto explain how he believes our country is “made up of little small towns” which are the backbone of America, and he thinks owning a home is the “American dream,” though many in these communities don’t have the ability or income to afford to buy a house, let alone completely rebuild one that got destroyed by Helene. Of course, there are a lot of factors that go into that, especially in these small mountain communities, but Eric wanted the people so horribly affected to be able to stay where their home is and thrive in spite of the circumstances. So, he decided to start his own program and give over 200 people in the mountains of western North Carolina a home of their own: “I believe America is made up of these little small towns, small town America is the backbone of what America is. And as I looked at how we could help, I think owning a home is the American dream. And too many times in America, because a lot of the places that are small towns, they have wage difficulties, they don’t have the industry there to make the money to own the home. So what we we decided to do is, to do something novel, and start our own program. And if you’re someone who has been integral to the community, if you’re someone who is going to be in the community long-term, we’re gonna build you home, we’re gonna give you that home. And we will have the first people in the homes before Thanksgiving, and we’ll end up doing probably 200 homes in western North Carolina.” It’s really unprecedented what he’s doing, and really is the ultimate gift for these people who have really been through hell, to put it mildly. I’ve heard Eric talk about how he hopes this can become a blueprint for other areas that will inevitably be affected by disaster, and I just can’t say enough about how incredibly impressive it is that he’s doing all of this for the people in his community. That’s the mountain way, though… you take care of your own, and in times of extreme crisis, you do everything you can to help your neighbors rebuild and thrive in the future. You can watch his interview here: Eric also put out “Darkest Hour” in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene, of which the money made from the song will forever go towards helping with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. “Darkest Hour” The post “Small Town America Is The Backbone” – Eric Church On Why Building A Community For Hurricane Helene Victims Is So Important To Him first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Briley King Announces Cover Of “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” Featuring The Marcus King Band & Ella Langley

It’s happening! Over the last few weeks, Briley King has broken the internet with her cover of “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia.” The viral moment originated from a backstage jam session that occurred before King took the stage with her husband at the Marcus King Band Family Reunion to cover the tune. @kidsmealsupreme♬ original sound – Briley King If you’re a fan of the Kings, then you are familiar with Briley’s powerhouse vocals and are privy to the fact that she supported Marcus on some backup vocals from his last studio record, Mood Swings, which was created with the legendary producer Rick Rubin. Talk about a musical powerhouse duo, right? After hundreds of comments and videos began popping up begging Briley to record a version of it, which she admitted she was scared to do, the overwhelming amount of positive feedback might have been the push she needed to get into the recording booth to do the damn thing. Fans began freaking out when Briley shared a video of herself walking into a recording booth. Then they proceeded to lose their minds even more when it seemingly appeared that she was collaborating with Ernest and Ella Langley on the project. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Briley King (@realbrileyking) Today, we have our answers as to what all this means. Briley King was not pulling our legs; in fact, she recorded a cover of the Vicki Lawrence classic “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia,” and she is gifting it to fans on October 1st. Helping her out on the tune is her husband and his talented band, The Marcus King Band, and Ella Langley is backing her up on the harmonies. “10.01.25 – The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia, featuring the Marcus King Band. Harmonies by my sister, Ella Langley.” LET’S GO. That was a lot of talent in one room to record this debut single from Briley King. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Briley King (@realbrileyking) Ahead of announcing the single this morning, September 23rd, the couple hit the stage at the Grand Ole Opry last night, the 22nd, to perform their viral hit. Briley King pulled a Taylor Swift move and planted an Easter Egg for the single announcement, sporting the same lampshade get-up that she’s wearing in the tune’s cover art. Briley King is known for having a quirky yet fun style, and while some did not see the vision on stage last night, as per the comments section, she was thinking about it from a broader perspective. I think this look is genius, given the song’s title. It also gives a slight nod to the iconic leg lamp from A Christmas Story, which everyone knows and loves. This performance from the Grand Ole Opry has me fired up to hear the studio cut on October 1st. Post Malone Fights Back The Tears As Jelly Roll Delivers An Emotional “Thank You” For Taking Him On Tour: “Nobody’s Ever Given Me A Chance Like This”

Post Malone Fights Back The Tears As Jelly Roll Delivers An Emotional “Thank You” For Taking Him On Tour: “Nobody’s Ever Given Me A Chance Like This”

As more and more artists from outside the genre try their hand at country music, Post Malone has undoubtedly experienced the most success since crossing over. Beyond bringing on an all-star cast for F-1 Trillion, the “I Fall Apart” singer fully embraced Music City, its culture and most importantly, its people. As we all know by now, F-1 Trillion was a massive success for Post that ultimately served as a massive amalgamation of different styles, subgenres and artists of the past and present. While some of the album can absolutely be labeled as a mixed bag in terms of cohesion and overall quality, one thing that cannot be denied about Post is the quality of his second massive tour behind the album, the Big A** Stadium Tour. First beginning in the U.S. back in April, the tour sold out stadiums across the country, including the likes of AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Wrigley Field in Chicago, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Ford Field in Detroit and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The Big A** Stadium World Tour would also experience similar success across the pond, selling out stadiums across Europe in France, Germany, Italy, the U.K. and more. Though the U.S. leg featured a stellar opening cast, including Sierra Ferrell, Wyatt Flores and Chandler Walters, the primary opener throughout both legs has been none other than Jelly Roll. Regardless of your thoughts on Jelly Roll as an artist and performer, there’s one thing that cannot be denied about him: his ability to deliver an incredible speech. This was put on display brilliantly once again at their final show of the tour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday night. Getting emotional alongside Post on stage, the “I Am Not Okay” singer grabbed him by the shoulder and thanked the Texas native for allowing him to tour with him, noting that no one has ever given him a chance like that before. “Nobody’s ever given me a chance like this. Nobody’s ever taken me to 30-40 cities across the world. Took me to stadiums across the United States. You gave me more money than anybody’s ever gave me to play a show opening for anybody in my f****** life. And you fly me over to Europe for the first time. Dude, you changed my life. Our friendship means more to me than you will ever know. They said, ‘Do you want to do it again next summer?’ I’ll do it every summer with you, Austin. Thank you for the opportunity. Looking directly into Post’s eyes, Jelly then went on to give the “I Had Some Help” singer his flowers, pointing out how much love he sees around him each night. “You’re an awesome spirit. You’re a sweet soul. You are a family man. I see a mother, a father, a daughter, somebody in your family every night backstage. You’re a great human. Everybody who works for you loves you, Post. There is a backstage crew of people who love you. We love you. I love you. Thank you for bringing me on this f****** tour, sincerely.”  Growing even more animated by the second, Jelly would close his speech by telling Post that he changed his life, also noting that his music saves people. And you know if I texted you this, you wouldn’t text me back, so I’m telling you this in front of everybody ’cause you don’t accept compliments well…. You changed my life, and you changed 40,000 people here’s lives. That’s why people love you. That’s why you can sell 80,000 tickets. Your music saves people, Post. We love you, Posty. After closing by leading the crowd in a “We love you, Posty” chant, the two embraced in a hug, providing an emotional closer to the tour in a way that only Jelly Roll could. Watch here: @_smilesallround Man, what a speech. Jelly making us all cry with his words. We love and appreciate you both so much. #jellyroll #postmalone #posty #brothers #london ♬ original sound – L i z “Losers” The post Post Malone Fights Back The Tears As Jelly Roll Delivers An Emotional “Thank You” For Taking Him On Tour: “Nobody’s Ever Given Me A Chance Like This” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
