Peterson that he was “tricked into” allowing one of his sons to undergo gender procedures, saying his child was “killed” by the “woke mind virus.” Musk sat down with Peterson for an interview that covered a range of topics and was streamed live on DailyWire+ and X. During one segment, Peterson and Musk discussed children being targeted by doctors with gender procedures, with both men agreeing that the practice is “evil.” Musk called “gender-affirming care,” the Left’s description of the procedures, “a terrible euphemism.” “It’s really child mutilation and sterilization,” Musk said. “It’s evil. You’re taking kids who are far below the age of consent.” “It’s very possible for adults to manipulate children who are having an actual identity crisis into believing that they are the wrong gender,” he added. “Why are you willing to make this an issue?” Peterson asked Musk, which led to the billionaire entrepreneur opening up about his son, Xavier, who struggled with gender dysphoria and now identifies as a girl. “Well, it happened to one of my older boys,” the Tesla and SpaceX owner replied. “I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion. A family truly has a lot to be thankful for during Christmas after reuniting with their missing dog, with special thanks to the family’s neighbor finding the pooch. NBC Connecticut shared that the dog, an energetic Golden Retriever named Bronco was only a few months old. On the afternoon of December 23, Bronco made his paw-rents, Justin and Anna Tralli, worried sick after he was outside and got spooked by some trash cans. “He just took off and there was no stopping him. He wouldn’t come back to any of our commands,” Justin Tralli told NBC. Tralli recounts the experience saying that the pooch sprinted down High Street from their Higganum home before they lost sight of him as he went into the woods. He added that after initially looking for the pooch, he posted on social media about Bronco, and that’s when locals began helping, including the Trallis’ next door neighbor Tom Tomphson. Thompson said, “I went this way. They went that way, calling the dog and we stayed out there until right around 5 o’clock when we couldn’t see anything anymore.” Tralli, who was worried about the cold and possible coyote danger in the woods, searched for the pooch by himself in the middle of the night. The worried owner explains, “I actually found some of his tracks, so I started following those up one of the trails and when I lost his tracks, I actually stopped and built a little fire on the woods just hoping maybe he would come to me.” But there were no signs of Bronco until the morning of Christmas Eve. However, tables have turned when Thompson was picking up firewood and noticed something by the wood pile. “I kind of look forward, ‘Is that who I think? Bronco, is that you?’ And I wasn’t sure from the distance,” Thompson explained. Thompson then realized that it was indeed Bronco and began calling him. When he got hold of the energetic pooch, he immediately called the Trallis, who were obviously overjoyed. “That image will forever be etched in my brain of Tom holding Bronco. I thought I was hallucinating,” Anna Tralli said. Now that Bronco is back home and didn’t miss Christmas with the family, the Trallis said they’re grateful to their community, especially Thompson, for all the help they did. The family also said they’re taking steps to keep Bronco from running away again. “We’re going to be getting him a GPS collar and a very substantial electric fence,” Justin Tralli said.

Washington Post "red states" correspondent Molly Hennessy Fiske is a more of a red-state-shaming correspondent.   Note the heartless obliviousness on display in this Sunday front-page Washington Post article by Molly Hennessy-Fiske. The headline: ‘Baby in a dumpster.’ A spate of abandoned newborns unsettles Texas. Yes, what a tragedy. If only abortion were readily available in Texas, then ALL of these babies might have died, rather than just some of them. What kind of logic is this? Abortion clinics put the baby corpses in a dumpster. But it's the sub-headline that gives away the paper's cruel cluelessness [emphasis added]: "Critics say these cases are no coincidence in a state with one of the nation’s most restrictive abortion bans and near-bottom rankings on women’s health care." That message is driven home in the article's body [emphasis added]: "Whether there’s a pattern or common link in these tragedies is not clear. But they’re happening in a state with one of the nation’s most restrictive abortion bans — with no exceptions for rape or incest — and one of the highest birth rates. Critics argue that’s no coincidence." The article reports that some of the abandoned babies had died by the time they were discovered. But many others, including the one featured in the article, are found alive and survive. It's just another occasion for the red-state reporter to dump on Gov. Greg Abbott -- because restricting health care for illegal immigrants also leads to abandoned babies -- and run leftist commentary without any labels from the "nonprofit Commonwealth Fund" and the "Sissy Farenthold Reproductive Justice Defense Project.'" What is apparently lost on Hennessy-Fiske and WaPo is that if abortion had been freely available, and the mothers had availed themselves of it, every last one of the babies would have died. So what are the "tragedies" in the eyes of the Washington Post? That some of these babies died -- or that some of them managed to live?
