Finally found some chicken wings in the grocery store. I am old enough to remember when wings were the least expensive part of the chicken. $0.29 a pound, legs, $0.49, thighs, $0.49, breasts $1.29. Today, breasts are around $2.00 to $3.00 a pound. Legs and thighs around $1.50 to $2.50. Leg quarters about the same. Wings, $4.79 to $6.00 a pound. Why? because of all the bloody wing restaurants buying every thing in sight. If there is a shortage it is because of the wing restaurants buying them out at $1.00 a pound and then selling them back for 6 or 7 times that for an order of 6 pieces weighing in at 4 ounces. Climate change has absolutely nothing to do with the bloody shortage.
