Dem Hero Abrego Is Coming Back to Go to Trial! Can a Statue in His Honor Be Far Behind?

Wife beater Abrego Garcia is a Democrat hero, and he is coming back to the United States. Unfortunately for him, he has already been indicted on two counts of trafficking. A now-unemployed lawyer said that his deportation to El Salvador was an “administrative error.” However, Garcia had received due process twice. Two judges found he […] The post Dem Hero Abrego Is Coming Back to Go to Trial! Can a Statue in His Honor Be Far Behind? appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

SCOTUS: DOGE Does Not Have to Respond to Freedom of Information Requests

The Supreme Court on June 6 formally blocked lower court orders requiring the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to respond to freedom of information requests in a pending lawsuit. The new Supreme Court order came after Chief Justice John Roberts on May 23 issued an administrative stay temporarily blocking the lower court orders. Justices Sonia […] The post SCOTUS: DOGE Does Not Have to Respond to Freedom of Information Requests appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Boy Pitches Complete-Game Shutout To Win Girls’ Softball Championship

A girls’ high school softball team in Minnesota won its first-ever state championship on Friday thanks to the lights-out pitching of a boy who identifies as a girl. The Champlin Park Rebels took down the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars 6-0 in the 4A title game, riding the arm of Marissa Rothenberger, a boy, who pitched the entire game, giving up just two hits to Bloomington Jefferson. In the Rebels’ three-game tournament title run, Rothenberger pitched all 21 innings for the team, allowing just two runs. ? Every single Democrat in Minnesota voted to make this insanity possible. According to the outlet, two fathers of girls on White Bear Lake “expressed deep frustration with the system that allowed their daughters to compete against a male athlete.” One dad specifically called out Democrats for allowing boys to compete against girls in Minnesota. “You’re looking at a whole team of future Republicans,” he said. The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) allows athletes to compete “consistent with their gender identity or expression in an environment free from discrimination with an equal opportunity for participation in athletics and fine arts,” according to The Minnesota Star Tribune. In February, the Trump administration opened an investigation into the MSHSL over its transgender policy after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to protect women’s sports. Trump has gone after some states, such as California and Maine, threatening to cut off federal funding if they continue to allow boys to compete against girls. Gift Dad an All Access Membership. Tim Walz has been blasted by conservatives and women’s sports advocates for allowing boys to play against girls in his state. Walz has made the transgender issue a big part of his platform, turning the state into a “trans refuge” and supporting life-altering gender procedures on children. Along with leading his team to the state championship, Rothenberger also received “All-Tournament Team” honors, according to Outkick reporter Amber Harding Snyder. Rothenberger reportedly kept his gender transition hidden from his teammates, but one of his former teammates, who spoke to Reduxx on the condition of anonymity, said that eventually girls and parents started to figure it out. Rothenberger has reportedly shared locker rooms, bathrooms, and rooms with teammates while traveling for games.

Park At Epicenter Of DC’s Pride Parade Forced To Close To Avoid Vandalism

A Washington, D.C., park at the center of this weekend’s Pride festivities will be closed to prevent the vandalism that occurred in years past. Dupont Circle Park closed at 6 p.m. on Thursday and will remain closed through about 6 p.m. on Sunday, the National Park Service announced. Early Friday morning, temporary fencing was erected around the park. The decision comes as after days of back-and-forth between federal and local authorities over the issue, as well as backlash from WorldPride 2025 attendees, who hoped the park would remain open. Washington, D.C., is hosting WorldPride 2025, which will have a plethora of events from Friday to Sunday. The events include at least four drag queen story hours including “Indigenous Drag Story Hour,” an event about “Deaf Queer Dating,” and a talk by a trans-identifying woman titled, “Propaganda & Transphobia: How Trans People Became the Political Pawn.” Dupont Circle Park was closed at the request of the United States Park Police, which said it was necessary to “secure the park, deter potential violence, reduce the risk of destructive acts and decrease the need for extensive law enforcement presences.” Washington, D.C., Police Chief Pamela Smith originally requested to close the park, but she later withdrew that request “after hearing from community leaders and residents.” Gift Dad an All Access Membership. Use code DAD40 at checkout to save 40%! However, she noted that in recent years, the park has been vandalized and has seen other violent illegal activity around the time of Pride festivities. In 2019, gunshots were heard in the park causing people to flee, and a person was arrested. In 2023, the park was vandalized to the tune of $175,000 in damage to a historic fountain. Last year, “large groups of juveniles” in the park engaged in “illegal activities, including drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, and engaging in fights” and also “ran into a local business and stole items,” the police chief noted in her letter to the Park Police. The Park Police pushed for a closure anyway, noting that “the threat of violence, criminal acts and [park] resource destruction” has “only increased” over the last few weeks. For example, a local DJ was selling tickets to an “unpermitted gathering/party” in Dupont Circle after the World Pride events, the Park Police said. “This social media advertisement is stating that this is the same DJ and ‘party’ as the previous several years, which have resulted in the unsafe conditions and damages recounted above,” the Park Police wrote in a June 4 letter to National Park Service leadership.

Mass Shooting At Michigan High School Graduation Ceremony Thwarted By Authorities, Sheriff Says

Authorities in Pontiac, Michigan, likely stopped a mass shooting at a high school graduation ceremony earlier this week, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard revealed on Friday. On Tuesday, Sheriff’s deputies were called to break up a fight at the Arts and Technology Academy of Pontiac graduation, and after arriving, were told about a shooting threat posted on social media, The Detroit News reported. Aided by security footage from the United Wholesale Mortgage’s Sports Complex, where the graduation was taking place, authorities discovered that two men had placed packages underneath vehicles. Both packages contained handguns with 40-round magazines. “When you combine that with the post that had been seen, that someone planned to shoot up this graduation, in our business we call that a clue,” Sheriff Bouchard said. “These weren’t brought to be simple accessories. … I believe we probably prevented a mass shooting.” “Just those two weapons, without changing magazines, had 80 rounds of potential firepower,” Bouchard added. “Shooting into a graduation, you can only imagine the outcome of that.” Deputies arrested a 19-year-old suspect, but are still looking for 20-year-old Jamarion Hardiman, a person of interest in the alleged mass shooting plot, according to The Detroit News. The Snapchat post where the threat was made has been taken down, but according to people who saw the post, it mentioned “going to shoot up the crowd,” according to Bouchard. Gift Dad an All Access Membership. Use code DAD40 at checkout to save 40%! Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said on Friday that her “office has been in touch with local officials. I am grateful to first responders for acting fast and saving lives in Pontiac.” The graduation ceremony proceeded after only two minutes of disruption, according to Septembra Williams, superintendent of the Arts and Technology Academy of Pontiac. Both of the suspects in the alleged shooting threat “have a history of being involved with weapons and violence,” and the 20-year-old person of interest is currently on probation for a previous weapons case, according to Sheriff Bouchard. Authorities do not believe that either of the two suspects attended the Arts and Technology Academy of Pontiac, but they likely had family and friends at the graduation ceremony. In November of 2021, Oxford High School — less than 20 miles north of Pontiac — was targeted in a mass shooting, where a teenage shooter killed four students and wounded seven other people.
