Perhaps it's not surprising that liberal Minneapolis prosecutor Julie Le, who went viral for telling a judge "this job sucks" in protest of immigration enforcement is looking for a new job. It's also not surprising the new job she's seeking is that of a lawmaker running on an anti-ICE platform....

Former U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema admitted to having an affair with her bodyguard while he was still married. In new court filings, Sinema argued his ex-wife cannot sue her in North Carolina because their relationship was consummated elsewhere. According to WRAL, North Carolina is one of a handful of states with an “alienation of affection” law that “allows a wronged party to seek damages when they can prove someone lured away their spouse.” Former Senator Krysten Sinema says since her affair happened outside the state of North Carolina she can’t be sued under the NC law of alienation of affection. North Carolina is one of only a few states where spouses can sue a spouse’s paramour through alienation of affection.… — Joe Bruno (@JoeBrunoWSOC9) March 13, 2026 WRAL explained further: As recently as November, a a TikTok influencer was ordered to pay nearly $2 million after an affair with her Durham-based manager. Sinema, a Democrat from Arizona, admitted in new federal court filings to having a romantic relationship with her bodyguard, Matthew Ammel, a Moore County resident. However, her legal team argues that because the affair occurred in several different states but not North Carolina, the case should not be tried under the state’s laws. Ammel’s wife, Heather Ammel, is suing under North Carolina’s “Alienation of Affection” law. She claims Sinema of intentionally seduced her husband, knowing he was married. Most alienation of affection cases are settled out of court. Those that proceed to trial are known for judgments in the multiple millions of dollars. According to prior reports, Ammel’s ex-wife is seeking at least $75,000 from Sinema in the lawsuit. She alleges in the lawsuit that they had “a good and loving marriage” with “genuine love and affection” before Sinema pursued him, despite knowing he was married. The lawsuit alleges that Ammel accompanied Sinema on her travels to destinations including Napa Valley, Las Vegas, and Saudi Arabia. As for why she’s laying out an atlas for their hookups … Sinema insists the location matters, because while they were getting busy all over the map, they never hooked up in North Carolina — so she can’t be dragged into court in that state. Heather filed the lawsuit against Sinema in September 2025 in North Carolina. Heather is also accusing Sinema of sending romantic messages to Matthew while he was in North Carolina … including a photo of herself wrapped in only a towel. But Sinema says she never sent such a picture … and, even if she did, she didn’t know he was in North Carolina, so it can’t be used to give the state jurisdiction over her.
