A ‘Planet Parade’ is Now in Alignment for Viewing Our Solar System This Week

Next Saturday, the 28th of February, stargazers will have the chance to spot Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all clustered together in the sky. Called a planetary alignment, they occur when the planets, which orbit atop the same horizonal line—called the ecliptic plane—happen to pass by the same point in the sky at […] The post A ‘Planet Parade’ is Now in Alignment for Viewing Our Solar System This Week appeared first on Good News Network.

They Know: Horror Movie Written and Directed by Bill Hader Is Heading Into Production

News they know They Know: Horror Movie Written and Directed by Bill Hader Is Heading Into Production The movie will be his first project since Barry By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on February 19, 2026 Credit: Merrick Morton/HBO Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Merrick Morton/HBO Bill Hader is diving into his first project since the series finale of Barry (pictured above), a dark dramedy that he co-created and starred in as a hitman trying to make it as an actor. According to Deadline, Hader has partnered with MRC (the company behind Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights) to make They Know, a horror movie penned by Hader and his Barry collaborator Duffy Boudreau that will also see Hader direct. Plot details are sparse for the film, though we do know it “centers on a divorced dad (Hader) who grows suspicious that his ex-wife is secretly dating a mysterious man who is having a strange influence on their children.” This may be a film that Hader has talked about before. Back in July 2025, Hader was on the A24 podcast with director Ari Aster, where he shared that he’d written a horror movie right after Barry wrapped. The initial reaction to his script, however, wasn’t what he was hoping for. “I had a meeting with a big producer—actually, a very smart, lovely guy,” Hader said (via The Playlist). “But his response to it was so bad.” The producer called it “mean-spirited,” “horrible,” “disturbing,” and “cynical.” “I was like, yeah, it’s a horror movie,” Hader recalled. “Did you not see my TV show?” In this podcast, however, Hader also said that seeing Aster’s Eddington gave him the motivation to take the script out again. Whether that script was They Know isn’t confirmed, but it seems likely. Production on They Know will start in Los Angeles this spring. Republican Fears Midterm Loss After Tony Gonzales’ Affair-Suicide Scandal

Text messages leaked on Wednesday reportedly show that Rep. Tony Gonzales’ former district director, Regina Santos-Avila, was having an affair with the Texas Republican before she committed suicide in September. The affair has caused Republicans to fear losing Texas 23rd Congressional District and news outlets to backtrack their endorsement of Gonzales. “I had an affair with our boss and I am fine. You will be fine,” the text message reads. Another former staffer in Gonzales’ office confirmed the affair between the representative and Santos-Avila, the San Antonio News-Express reports. A lawyer for Santos-Avila’s husband told the outlet that the affair was an “open-secret” within the office, and that Santos-Avila stopped working for the representative in 2024 after her husband caught wind of the relationship. Santos-Avila fell in a deep depression after, the lawyer added. Republicans, including Gonzales’ primary opponent, Brandon Herrera, have since called on the representative to resign, adding that Democrats will hold the affair-suicide scandal against him to flip the Republican-held congressional seat. “Gonzales’s behavior also creates a tremendous potential catastrophe,” Herrera wrote in a press release. “If he prevails in the primary and becomes our party’s nominee in the General Election, Democrats will seize the opportunity to flip a reliable Republican seat blue.” Herrera added that President Donald Trump’s legislative priorities are “hanging by a thread,” and stated that a Democrat controlled House could end in a legislative gridlock during the final years of Trump’s second term. “Control of the U.S. House of Representatives and our party’s ability to pass President Trump’s agenda are hanging by a thread. Handing control to Democrats, who would spend the final two years of President Trump’s term obstructing, investigating, and impeaching him and members of his administration, is a risk we as a party cannot afford to take. Herrera then called on Gonzales to resign from his seat, adding that he was “using taxpayer money to fund the affair, and “broke trust with the public by insisting that the initial reporting of the affair was false.” You are guilty and should resign.— Brandon Herrera (@TheAKGuy) February 19, 2026 Other conservative political leaders in the state, such as Texas Rep. Wes Virdell, echoed Herrera’s resignation remarks soon after. “The family deserves to heal and get past this terrible tragedy,” Virdell wrote on X. “That will be impossible to do if they have to see the person who did it show no remorse for the situation and get re-elected to represent them in Congress.” Gonzales has so far denied the claims, adding that they are “completely untruthful.”  “People throwing rocks at me, saying I’m doing nasty things—I totally get that,” Gonzales said in November. “But the rumors are completely untruthful.” “The rumors are completely untruthful, and Regina [Santos-Aviles’] family has asked for privacy,” the representative added. The affair has also cost Gonzales crucial local endorsements. On Wednesday, the San Antonio News-Express outlet walked back their endorsement of Gonzales. “We are withdrawing our recommendation in the Republican Party primary for Texas’ 23rd Congressional District,” the news outlet wrote. “We see a disturbing lack of character from an elected official.” While the outlet did not mention if they believe there was a correlation between the affair and Santos-Avilas’ suicide, it did state that the affair was enough of a reason for them to walk back their endorsement of the representative. “First, it is an act of deception,” the outlet wrote. “Gonzales is married and has six children. Second, this was not an equal relationship but one involving a staffer.” “Third, while an attorney for Santos-Aviles’ husband has said he does not believe the affair played a role in the suicide by self-immolation at her home in Uvalde, it still looms over the tragedy,” the outlet added. Herrera, Gonzales and the San Antonio News-Express did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment. Gonzales has also been endorsed by President Donald Trump, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La., Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and the International Association of Firefighters. It remains unclear if they will also walk back their endorsements. The parties mentioned have not responded to The Daily Signal’s request for comment. After Many Years Outside Cat Tries Home Life for the First Time, Finds Trust, and Never Looks Back

After many years outside, a cat tried home life for the first time, found trust, and never looked back. TigrouChatonsOrphelinsMontrealFor years, a tabby cat roamed the streets, blending into the neighborhood and surviving on the kindness of a caring family. They set up shelters on their porch for stray cats and provided food and fresh water. The tabby always kept his distance, never letting anyone get close. After enduring many harsh winters, his body grew weary, and the toll of the street life began to show. When an animal rescuer noticed the exhausted cat, she decided to take a chance on him. ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealLittle was known about his past, but he was visibly terrified of people, carrying the weight of experiences that had left their mark on him. With the help of a humane trap, the rescuer was able to catch him and bring him to Chatons Orphelins Montreal, a volunteer-run rescue. He received medical care and was named Tigrou, French for Tigger. "Completely lost and scared by all the changes, he had no idea that his life was about to change for the better," the rescue shared. ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealAt the vet clinic, Tigrou retreated to a corner of his kennel with a sad look on his face. He was estimated to be around eight years old and had been living with a severely infected mouth. "Every meal must have been painful for him."After a much-needed dental procedure, Tigrou recovered beautifully. Though he was left with very few teeth, he was finally free from pain. ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealWhen Tigrou arrived at his foster home, he began learning how to live alongside humans for the first time. Terrified, he hid in corners or tucked himself under furniture. His foster family gave him all the time and space he needed, allowing him to adjust at his own pace. Slowly, Tigrou started to warm up to them. "After years of wandering alone outside, everything was new to him. But with positive reinforcement, trust began to grow." ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealTreats became the key that showed Tigrou human hands weren't something to fear. Little by little, the distance between him and his people shrank, and eventually, he allowed touch. "We even catch him rolling onto his back and playing with catnip toys. He's making progress every day and gradually coming out of his shell.""He's had such a difficult life, but now he's learning what it feels like to be cherished." ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealAs his fear faded, curiosity took its place. Tigrou began exploring his surroundings, inspecting rooms, and claiming cozy spots as his own.He now strolls through the house with growing confidence. "When he thinks we're not watching, he plays on his own with toys and curls up to nap by the window. He's sweet and gentle. We're starting to see his teddy-bear personality come through." ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealWith warm beds and hearty meals, Tigrou continues to blossom. While sudden movements can still startle him and he sometimes seeks out a hiding spot, he's becoming more comfortable each day and has embraced his role as the house supervisor. He enjoys watching birds and neighbors through the window, completely content with the comforts of indoor life. ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealThanks to those who gave him a fresh start, Tigrou is truly thriving.Instead of hiding in makeshift shelters, he now sinks into his fluffy bed for naps, no longer sleeping with one eye open. The fear that once clouded his face has faded, replaced by slow blinks and soft purrs shared with the people he trusts. ChatonsOrphelinsMontrealShare this story with your friends. Big Four News Apps, Including Apple News, Go Silent on FTC Apple Rebuke

For eight days after the Federal Trade Commission challenged Apple News on its bias, neither Apple nor the rest of the Big Four News Apps linked to a single story on the federal scrutiny despite its massive implications and widespread media attention . Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson sent a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook on Feb. 11, right on the heels of a bombshell MRC study showing that Apple News did not have even one right-leaning article in its morning editions in January (620-0). Both Ferguson’s letter and MRC’s study sparked widespread media coverage, including stories from the New York Post and even left-leaning media such as The Washington Post, The Associated Press, CBS News, Business Insiderand The New York Times.  In the letter, Ferguson called out Apple News for having “systematically promoted news articles from left-wing news outlets and suppressed news articles from more conservative publications.” For an entire week after Ferguson released the letter — from Feb. 11 to Feb. 18 — not only Apple News but also Google News, MSN and Yahoo News completely ignored the story. “This is no accident,” MRC Free Speech VP Dan Schneider said of the Big Four News Apps’ blackout. “There were dozens of stories from both left and right-leaning outlets that these tech giants could have published. This was one of the biggest national stories of the week but anybody getting their news from the apps would have never known of it.” ICYMI: FTC Chair Ferguson Puts Apple News on Notice after MRC Exposés & Apple News Continues Rejection of Right-Leaning Outlets in January Notably, Ferguson had specifically called on Apple News to take action in his letter. While stating the “FTC is not the speech police,” and that he cannot require specific news curation, he reminded the Big Tech company “of your obligations under the FTC Act.”  He added, “Any act or practice by Apple News to suppress or promote news articles based on the perceived ideological or political viewpoint of the article or publication, if inconsistent with Apple‘s terms of service or the reasonable expectations of consumers, may violate the FTC Act.” Ferguson advised Apple to apply the FTC Act requirements to Apple News. While Ferguson cited a November MRC studyshowing Apple News promoted only one right-leaning article in November, MRC has done numerous studies since then to illustrate blatant bias. Apple News is particularly guilty, but so also are the others in the Big Four News Apps. For instance, on Feb. 13, MRC revealed that it took Apple News 100 days to put a right-leaning outlet’s article in its morning articles.  In January, MRC found Yahoo News did not include a single right-leaning article in its top 20 for 16 days of the month. Likewise, Google News included only three percent of right-leaning outlets’ content in its top 20 morning editions throughout January. Methodology: During the time period Feb. 11 - Feb. 18, 2026, MRC researchers examined the top 20 AllSides-rated news stories featured on Apple News, Google News, MSN and Yahoo News each day at approximately 8:30 AM ET.
