Jasmine Crockett Calls ICE Slave Patrols & the Klan

Jasmine Crockett now claims ICE agents are the Klu Klux Klan. Nothing she says in the clip below is truthful, but that is our Jasmine. She claims ICE are slave patrols, breaking arms and operating lawlessly. The truth is that ICE teams are following immigration law. They have warrants in most cases because they are […] The post Jasmine Crockett Calls ICE Slave Patrols & the Klan appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Bannon DARES Constitution—Washington On Edge…

Sparking urgent questions about whether the Twenty-Second Amendment will be enforced or abandoned, Steve Bannon, President Trump’s longtime ally and former White House strategist, has openly discussed strategies to keep Trump in power beyond the constitutional two-term limit. Bannon’s Brazen Constitutional Challenge Steve Bannon declared in recent interviews that “there are many different alternatives to make sure that President Trump is on the ballot” in 2028, confirming what many feared: Trump’s inner circle is developing concrete plans to circumvent the Constitution’s term limit provisions. This isn’t idle speculation or political theater. Bannon’s statements represent the most explicit acknowledgment yet that Trump’s team views the Twenty-Second Amendment as an obstacle to be overcome rather than a constitutional boundary to be respected. The brazenness of this public planning should alarm anyone who values constitutional governance and the principle that no person stands above the law. Trump’s Own Words Confirm the Threat President Trump himself has repeatedly signaled his intentions, moving beyond what some dismissed as jokes or trolling. He has sold “Trump 2028” merchandise and explicitly stated he’s “not joking” about seeking a third term, claiming there are “methods” to remain in office beyond constitutional limits. These aren’t offhand remarks—they’re deliberate trial balloons designed to normalize the idea of indefinite executive power. Trump’s refusal to accept the 2020 election results and his role in the January 6 Capitol events already demonstrated his willingness to challenge democratic norms when they conflict with his personal ambitions. Project 2025’s Blueprint for Permanent Power The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 provides the intellectual infrastructure for this constitutional assault. This comprehensive policy document, developed with input from over 100 conservative organizations, outlines detailed strategies to consolidate executive power and weaken institutional checks and balances. The plan calls for restructuring federal agencies, embedding loyalists throughout the civil service, and effectively neutering congressional oversight. While Project 2025 doesn’t explicitly endorse violating term limits, its framework for executive dominance creates the administrative architecture that would make such a power grab feasible. This isn’t about conservative governance—it’s about dismantling the constitutional order our founders established. The Supreme Court’s Uncertain Role Legal scholars emphasize that the Twenty-Second Amendment’s language is clear and unambiguous: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.” However, Bannon’s confidence suggests Trump’s team believes the current Supreme Court might refuse to enforce this provision or find creative interpretations to bypass it. The Court’s ideological composition and its willingness to overturn longstanding precedents in other areas have emboldened those who seek to test constitutional boundaries. If the Court fails to uphold explicit constitutional text, it would represent the complete collapse of judicial independence and the rule of law. Americans who respect the Constitution must demand that all branches of government honor their oaths to defend it, regardless of political considerations or personal loyalties. The stakes couldn’t be higher. If Trump and Bannon succeed in normalizing the idea that constitutional term limits are negotiable or unenforceable, they will have fundamentally transformed America from a constitutional republic into something resembling the authoritarian regimes our founders explicitly rejected. Every American who values liberty, limited government, and the Constitution must recognize this threat for what it is: not a policy disagreement, but an existential challenge to constitutional governance itself. The Twenty-Second Amendment exists precisely to prevent the emergence of presidents-for-life and the concentration of unchecked executive power that inevitably follows. Schumer’s Shutdown Is Leaving Our Troops and Their Families High and Dry

It’s bad enough that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is playing politics with his needless government shutdown. But his actions are having real-world repercussions for American troops and their families, leaving many in limbo and desperate for answers. Military families are struggling with the uncertainty that this shutdown has brought and hoping that relief comes soon. Many services are temporarily closed on military bases, with the shutdown affecting families that had been in the process of moving across the country and the globe in the service of their country. Republicans have repeatedly offered and voted in favor of a clean continuing resolution to fund the government with no partisan policy riders. But their opponents won’t budge. The government shutdown began Oct. 1, with U.S. troops among the most affected. Approximately 1.3 million active-duty troops, including active-duty National Guard and reserve personnel, began the shutdown continuing to work with no pay, but President Donald Trump’s order “to use all available funds to get our Troops PAID on October 15” ended this concern, at least, with many troops receiving their paychecks with repurposed research money. Despite troops receiving these emergency repurposed paychecks on Oct. 15, the general anxiety among service members during the shutdown is reflected by a 30% increase in demand this month throughout the country at the Armed Services YMCA, which runs nearly two dozen food banks near military installations across the United States. At some food banks, demand is so high that they must close early because they run out of food. At others, lines have begun forming more than six hours before the food banks open for the day. Additionally, despite Trump’s order that ensures troops are paid in the meantime, the U.S. military is still under heavy stress, especially at military bases abroad, where service members and their families depend far more on-base services than military families stationed in the United States do. Many of these military facilities abroad have had to temporarily close services because of Schumer’s shutdown. Ramstein Air Base in Germany, for example, has temporarily closed its library, aquatics center, UNITE program for morale and recreation, Military and Family Readiness Center Spouse Hub, and civilian personnel office. Other U.S. military bases abroad with some services temporarily closed include RAF Lakenheath, U.S. Army Garrison Benelux, U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria, U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden, and Naval Air Station Sigonella. Anyone familiar with the military lifestyle knows that frequent moves between bases located all over the globe are a recurring fact of life. Many troops and their families are currently struggling with Permanent Change of Station orders, as a U.S. Air Force official revealed that airmen who received Permanent Change of Station orders before Oct. 1 are allowed to continue relocating, but those who received orders after the shutdown started are on hold to move. The Army is facing a similar issue. Even in-progress Permanent Change of Station moves have been halted despite some orders arriving before Oct. 1. This is exceptionally concerning because the shutdown began just after the majority of Permanent Change of Station orders were sent out, meaning many families are waiting to move into their new homes across the country and the world, staying at on-base hotels and spending weeks or even months without the comforts of home. Those required to make Permanent Change of Station moves during the shutdown are facing financial hardships because of the uncertain environment. One organization estimates that on average, military families spend $8,000 outside of what the government covers in moving expenses—a very large financial burden for families unsure when they will receive their paychecks. Moving expenses are an especially large concern for younger military families who often have very little in savings. While military families and personnel are urged to spend less money, they are left to wonder when their next paycheck will come, and how best to prepare their families for continuing negative news. Among all the negative consequences of the Schumer shutdown, some of the worst are those affecting military personnel and installations. Our service members and their families deserve better than this. Which Potential Trump Successor Will Draw the Most Media Heat?

The Wall Street Journal gets it. In Friday’s edition, Journal columnist Holman Jenkins Jr. closed his column by saying, more than accurately, this, with bold print for emphasis supplied:  I’m guessing many flyover Democrats have long seen the party’s blunder in associating itself too closely with the national media. The self-defeating Russia hoax, the shameless, unnecessary politicization of Covid—both helped Mr. Trump. Most damning was the conniving of Team Biden to push a senile, unpopular incumbent past voters a second time even at the highly probable risk of returning Mr. Trump to the White House. ….For it defies the warp and rhythm of life to think Americans could ever trust such a leadership class again or bring it back to power in the post-Trump era. If Democrats don’t understand this, America’s next leadership class won’t consist of Democrats. It will consist of Mr. Trump’s political descendants and heirs. Exactly. As usually happens in American history, and as the midway section of a president’s second (and last) term approaches, speculation is always rising to debate that president’s presumed successor. Whether George Washington or Abe Lincoln, or the 20th century’s Roosevelts, Reagan, Clinton or others, the thought always is “who is next?”  And, importantly, the question underlying that is “how will the media deal with the next President?” The hard, documented-in-reality fact is that the liberal media could not and cannot abide President Trump. From the moment candidate Trump descended that Trump Tower escalator in 2015 to the current days, the national media has had an impossible time stomaching first a potential and then an actual Trump presidency. As noted in this space previously,  just this month TIME magazine drew a presidential scolding for a cover that ran a Trump photo that was so obviously -- deliberately?-- unflattering to the President. The question now is: How will the liberal media deal with a GOP Trump successor named J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio or someone else? For a media perpetually in love with the idea of a woman as Vice President, not to mention President, what if that person turns out to be Tennessee’s GOP Senator Marsha Blackburn? Or South Carolina’s GOP Rep. Nancy Mace?  In fact, in terms of a GOP female VP or President that question has already been answered -- to the negative. As support for a GOP female on the 2008 GOP ticket with Senator John McCain rose, McCain’s choice of then-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin quickly revealed the hostility of the national media to the idea of a female VP -- if, as with Palin, she was a conservative. And to the contrary, the selection by President Joe Biden of California’s Kamala Harris was adored by the liberal media because, in fact, Harris was a lefty. All of which is to say, with Trump’s second and last term now underway, with the first of his last four years almost completed, there will be a subtle and sometimes not so subtle shift of media attention to the candidate emerging in the eyes of the media as the inevitable Trump successor. One could suggest that this will be unfair, and yes it will surely be just that. But alas it will most certainly be inevitable as the liberal media starts probing what Vance or Rubio or some other potential GOP Trump successor did with that girl in the 9th grade or did they cheat on their tests to get into law school or whatever. Jen Psaki is already battering Vance as "scarier" than Trump, a "little Manchurian Candidate" with a wife that might need rescuing! So as 2025 winds down, with the inevitable end-of-year holiday season almost at hand and the 2026 congressional/gubernatorial election season starting to dawn -- a signal in itself of the soon-to-be-looming 2028 presidential season -- be ready to read the tea leaves of media focus on who, exactly, Trump’s GOP successor may be.  Will he or she become, Trump or Reagan style, such a dominating force in the media that there will be about them an air of inevitability? The belief that yet again America is about to have a President who so dominates the American and international scene that all others pale almost to insignificance? October has just about faded. The end two months of 2025 are arriving, with the 2026 elections dawning beyond that. Which is a signal all by itself to keep an eye on the American media and just who -- and what -- the liberal media focuses on. In short: stay tuned. Change is on the horizon as various Republicans and Democrats jockey for position in the Post-Trump presidential sweepstakes.  And you can be sure of one thing. As the Post-Trump era dawns? The media are watching, and ready to pounce.

New York Knicks blast socialist candidate Mamdani, threaten legal action

The New York Knicks evidently want nothing to do with Zohran Mamdani, the front-runner in next month's mayoral election who defended the extremist slogan "globalize the intifada" earlier this year and has repeatedly been accused of anti-Semitism.The NBA team sent a legal warning to the socialist assemblyman after he used the team's iconic branding in a campaign advertisement that not only was published on social media but aired during the Knicks' season opener on Wednesday night. The team's blue and orange basketball logo was featured prominently in the ad — but instead of saying "Knicks," it said "Zohran." On social media, the ad was captioned, "This is our year. This is our time."In its cease-and-desist letter to Mamdani, obtained by the New York Post, the NBA team suggested that the ad was "likely to mislead the public into believing that the Campaign is affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by, or in some way connected with the Knicks."Per the team's demand, Mamdani's campaign removed all of the offending ads as of Friday afternoon."The NY Knicks have sent NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani a cease-and-desist letter for using the NY Knicks logo to promote his candidacy," a team spokesperson told the Post. "The Knicks want to make it clear that we do not endorse Mr. Mamdani for mayor, and we object to his use of our copyrighted logo. We will pursue all legal remedies to enforce our rights."'Am I angry that I'm not the one taking down Zohran the socialist and the communist?'Dora Pekec, Mamdani's campaign spokeswoman, said in statement obtained by Bloomberg, "Adjustments are being made to the ad, and while the Knicks might not be able to publicly support our campaign, we're proud to publicly support our NY Knicks."RELATED: Democrats face their ‘David Duke moment’ in New York City Photo by Michael M. Santiago / Staff via Getty Images The latest Victory Insights poll suggests that Mamdani is poised to become New York City's next mayor, leading disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) by over 18 percentage points, 46.7%-28.6%. The poll shows that the Republican candidate, Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa, in trailing in third place with 16.2% support. In hopes of giving Cuomo a boost over Mamdani, Mayor Eric Adams (D) announced on Thursday that he was endorsing the former governor and did so while wearing a Knicks hat."Am I angry that I'm not the one taking down Zohran the socialist and the communist? You're darn right I am," said Adams. "But you know what? This city means more to me than anything. And it is time for us as a family to come together.""New York can't be Europe, folks," continued the mayor. "I don't know what is wrong with people. You see what's playing out in other countries because of Islamic extremism."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Birth rate data reveals left faces doom while conservative families sustain population

Data compiled by the Financial Times reveals birth rates among progressives and conservatives over the past nearly 50 years — and it’s not looking good for the left.Conservative birth rates have fallen, but conservatives are still reproducing at replacement rates, while progressives are barely reproducing at all.“What we need is … a turning point, if you will, where we are not just going the same rate of speed as the doctrines of demons, but we are going in the opposite direction,” BlazeTV host Steve Deace says on the “Steve Deace Show.”“And I think the enemy feared that leaders like Charlie were putting us on such a trend line, especially with their effectiveness towards the youth, and that’s why ‘they’ — demons like to call themselves that — that’s why they murdered him,” he continues.“And now our hope is that like we’ve seen in the past with martyrs, strike one down and an entire movement comes up behind them,” he adds. While the left, Deace says, has jumped on the “highway to hell and it’s ‘YOLO,’” conservatives are simply in the slow lane, still heading down the same road.“We’re traveling the exact same direction. That has to stop. And I think in the younger generations, they sense that. The younger generations on our side. … The hope is we can last long enough to hand it off to them to prove it to us one way or the other,” he tells producer Todd Erzen.“I mean, if you will not have babies and consecrate them to the Lord, we’re just not serious about the faith we claim to have. This is my lament about the people on the cul de sac and you really just can’t tell in any way a difference between, quite frankly, the families that are happy with the grooming going on and those who claim to believe otherwise,” Erzen says.“You see all the time: Christian families talk about how expensive kids are. Well, all these families, if you’re paying attention, they’re going on vacation. They have their hobbies. They’re certainly not working, you know, three jobs, man. It’s a choice,” he continues.“Our excuse-making factories for why our comfort as Christians is going to come before having children and having that be our primary legacy. Giving to the Lord human beings who will worship Him and carry the next generation forward in His name. I mean, it’s a choice,” he adds, “but good luck with that.”Want more from Steve Deace? To enjoy more of Steve's take on national politics, Christian worldview, and principled conservatism with a snarky twist, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
