"We have very strong objectives. They could have done something two weeks ago, but they just couldn't get there," Mr. Trump said, referring to negotiations on Iran's nuclear program that were ongoing when the strikes against the country began. "An Iranian regime armed with long-range missiles and nuclear weapons would be a dire threat to every American," the president said. Mr. Trump has signaled he was willing to talk to new Iranian leadership, telling The Atlantic during a phone call earlier Sunday, "They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them. For my entire life, certainly for the past 30+ years, we have been told the same narrative over and over. See if this sounds familiar to you… For years, we have been told that the USA/Israel could not stop the Houthis or Hezbollah or Hamas because they were essentially proxies for Iran, and we could not risk a war with Iran because that would pull in Venezuela and Russia and China. Have you heard that your whole life? And we really need a big, bad enemy like Iran to exist in the world so we can build up our military complex and have never-ending skirmish and conflicts all over the Middle East. But President Trump first created unity in the region, building up alliances with Middle East partners like Qatar and the UAE through Peace Agreements like the Abraham Accords and through the new Board of Peace. Knowing that he had the support of the region, he then de-nuclearized Iran with Operation Midnight Hammer in 2025, removing the nuclear threat and setting them back decades. With the nuclear threat off the table, he then he captured Maduro and essentially took over the Venezuelan Government, which just so happened to be a strategic ally country where Iran housed a lot of its assets. With support from Venezuela off the table, Iran was further isolated and weakened. The Venezuela move also brought Cuba to its knees and the USA will likely control Cuba next. With the Iran nuclear threat off the table, Venezuela and Cuban neutralized, and the Maduro raid giving the world a show of force that shocked many, President Trump has now taken out all of Iran’s senior leadership and is returning the country to the people. And while the situation is still evolving, Russia and China have NOT stepped in, as we were told they would. Basically, everything they have told us was impossible for the last 30+ years was just accomplished by President Trump. He has completely rewritten the world map. He has completely rewritten the Art of War. He has complete rewritten the “global” world order. We were told for decades none of this would ever be possible, and President Trump just did it all in a matter of months. And he’s done it all without massive military failures and endless wars. According to reports, an intense explosion was heard at a British Royal Air Force base in Cyprus. The explosion was reported at the “British Akrotiri Air Force base in Limassol at around midnight local time after a ‘security threat’ was reportedly declared,” Daily Mail stated. It’s unclear if the reports are related to Iran’s retaliatory strikes amid Operation Epic Fury conducted by the United States and Israel. But the presidents of the Republic of Cyprus and the unrecognised Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have both questioned the claim and criticised Mr Healey for making statements without the full facts. The decision comes after a day of conversations between Sir Keir and regional leaders, including the kings of Bahrain and Jordan, the crown prince of Kuwait, the sultan of Oman and the president of Cyprus to discuss the security situation and the UK’s defensive actions. Sir Keir claimed the UK has learned lessons from ‘the mistakes of Iraq’ and he would only allow strikes for the ‘limited specific defensive purpose’ of defending British allies. He said it is ‘my duty to protect British lives’ from Iranian ‘scorched earth strikes’ but ruled out taking part in pre-emptive strikes. The PM said it ‘remains the case’ the UK is not involved in strikes on Iran and will ‘not join offensive action now’. He claimed the decision was as a result of a ‘collective self-defence’ of allies and to protect British lives from Iran’s furious bombardment across the Middle East. The PM said the US can use the bases for the ‘specific and limited defensive purpose’ of hitting missile launch sites or storage depots in Iran. He said the move was in accordance with international law, and the government would publish a summary of its legal advice.
