CIA Plan to Brainwash Unsuspecting People to Kill

According to a memo obtained by the Daily Mail, a secret CIA program experimented with a plan to brainwash individuals to use them as unwitting assassins against America’s own leaders. According to declassified documents, Project Artichoke was a top-secret mind control plan conducted from 1951 to 1956. It focused on influencing human behavior and psychological […] The post CIA Plan to Brainwash Unsuspecting People to Kill appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

We Went To Zohran Mamdani’s First ‘Rental Ripoff Hearing.’ Everyone Was Mad.

NEW YORK — Residents lined up outside a Brooklyn high school Thursday to air their grievances about the city’s landlords, inaugurating one of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s flagship initiatives. The event was the first of five planned “Rental Ripoff Hearings,” which aim to “uncover policy recommendations that will more effectively and systematically protect tenants in their homes.” Led by Mamdani’s Director of Tenant Protection Cea Weaver — who infamously claimed that “Homeownership is a tool of white supremacy” — said the proceeding would focus on recording violations, requesting repairs, and exposing abusive landlords. In her presentation, titled “New Yorkers vs. Bad Landlords,” Weaver told the room that the mayor’s office would use the feedback collected at the rental rip off hearings to inform housing policy going forward. One resident in attendance described the poor conditions of her apartment to The Daily Wire. “The ceiling caved in,” she said of the three-bedroom apartment she shared with roommates. “There’s rodents and rats and we haven’t had heat the last two winters.” Asked why she remained in the apartment, she explained that it is rent-stabilized and that she is a comic artist who cannot afford another apartment. She said her share of the monthly rent is $300, while the total rent for the unit is $900. The average rent for a three-bedroom apartment in New York is $4,841 a month. But not everyone was happy with the hearing. Leftist critics objected that the hearings were limited to private housing, excluding residents in New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) properties — about one in 16 New Yorkers. In the middle of Thursday’s session, a masked woman wearing knee-high green socks stormed the stage to criticize this exclusion. “NYCHA should be allowed in the motherf*cking building,” she yelled. “Poor people need a f*cking voice.” Weaver and other members of the Mamdani administration let the woman interrupt the hearing for nearly two minutes before addressing the masked individual. Weaver informed the woman that NYCHA could speak to representatives just like the other New Yorkers. They then helped the woman exit the stage. As she exited, she almost took the wooden podium with her. Private landlords, too, are unsurprisingly unhappy with the hearings. “They should pull from a combination of tenants, landlords, financiers, developers, and economists,” New York real estate broker Adam Frisch told The Daily Wire, saying the hearings were too one-sided. “Everybody looks at the situation with their own biases, and it’s the role of the mayor to sit down with tenants and landlords and say I know you’re both unhappy. Let’s see what we can do.” Landlords blame rent stabilization for the poor conditions of certain apartments. Without the ability to raise rent, they say, they are unable to generate sufficient revenue to maintain their buildings. Pinnacle Group, a major New York landlord, filed for bankruptcy in 2025, claiming that the “sharp increase in financing costs outpaced rental revenue, which could not be correspondingly increased due to rent stabilization.” Mamdani, who promised while campaigning to host a Rental Ripoff Hearing in each of the city’s five boroughs, was not present at Thursday’s event. He had spent the day in Washington, D.C., meeting in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump. The pair discussed strategies to increase housing in New York City.

Economics Is A Science, Like Pinball Or Craps

You know, between the rapid pace of news events these days and the ubiquitous proliferation of media outlets, it’s very easy to get so overwhelmed with information that you lose your focus and let your mind drift to meaningless side issues like whether if you continually rewind “The Housemaid” so you can watch the Sydney Sweeney sex scene over and over, it will somehow show up on the feed so your wife will find out when she goes to watch one of those movies she likes where none of the women even takes her shirt off so what the hell’s the point. I’m sorry. What was I talking about? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you can lose your focus — and not even realize that you don’t really understand the issues in play. So now and again, we here at the Daily Wire like to take a moment to try to explain to you some of the important subjects that we ourselves know absolutely nothing about. For instance, President Trump says the economy is doing great, but polls show that many people disagree. So today we want to try to unpack the principles of economics so you can answer basic questions, like who’s right, who’s wrong, how the hell should I know, and why can’t you people just leave me alone? Economics is a science, like pinball or craps. The word comes from the Greek root “omics,” meaning “something you read in the newspaper that is so ridiculous it makes you laugh.” That’s the same root that gives us words like “comics,” and “New York Times opinionomics.” Now, here at The Andrew Klavan Show, we know that some people in our audience are functionally illiterate, but the rest of our audience can only aspire to being functionally illiterate, so in order to explain the principles of economics in the simplest possible way, we’re going to take you through an ordinary day in the life of an economist. Ordinary economist Wolfgang Startle wakes up a little after 6:00 AM. He opens the shades in time to see the sun cresting the eastern horizon. “Oh my God,” says Wolfgang Startle, “what the hell is that?” “That’s the sun coming up in the morning,” says Mrs. Startle. “Wow,” says Wolfgang. “That’s surprising. Yesterday, I predicted that artificial intelligence would cause the moon to turn to blood while the sun refused to shine. So this development is very unexpected.” Soon after, Mrs. Startle puts breakfast on the table. “Whoa!” cries Wolfgang Startle. “Are these fried eggs? I did not see that coming.” “But I make you fried eggs every morning,” says Mrs. Startle. “Yes,” says Wolfgang. “But last week, I predicted that Donald Trump’s tariffs would drive the price of eggs up way beyond what we can afford, so this is completely unexpected.” An hour later, Wolfgang Startle arrives at work at the Wall Street Journal, where he’s greeted by his editor, Hyman Panic. “I’m sorry, Wolfgang,” Panic says. “I’m going to have to let you go, because every single prediction you make turns out to be wrong.” “Well, this comes totally out of the blue for me,“ says Wolfgang Startle. “I predicted that Trump’s anti-immigration policies would cause a minor rise in unemployment… for some reason… but now my unemployment is unexpectedly at 100%.” And just wait till you see how startled Wolfgang Startle is when he gets home, because he did not predict that Mrs. Startle would unexpectedly run off with the guy who writes the horoscope pages for the New York Post, after she discovered that his predictions were more accurate than Wolfgang’s, so he still has a job. I hope this glimpse into the daily life of an economist has given you a better sense of whether you should believe Donald Trump when he says the economy is great, or your wife when she tells you she had to sell the kids for rent money. The important thing to remember is that whether you vote for Trump’s Republicans or for the people who want to reduce America to dust while destroying every vestige of our prosperity and freedom, you can never be totally sure about the future, unless you read the horoscope page in the New York Post. * * * This excerpt is taken from the opening satirical monologue of “The Andrew Klavan Show.” Andrew Klavan is the host of “The Andrew Klavan Show” at The Daily Wire. Klavan is the bestselling author of numerous books, including the Cameron Winter Mystery series. LEAKED List Exposes Elite Shadow Network…

A leaked membership list from the secretive Bohemian Grove exposes over 2,000 elite power brokers, including prominent Hollywood figures and political insiders, raising alarming questions about what influence is truly being brokered behind closed doors at this male-only retreat. Secretive Elite Organization Exposed The Bohemian Club operates a sprawling 2,700-acre retreat in Sonoma County, Northern California, where America’s most powerful men gather annually for two weeks of networking and ceremony. This male-only organization has maintained extreme secrecy for decades, hosting an infamous “Cremation of Care” ritual and organizing members into exclusive camps resembling fraternities. The club’s spokesperson explicitly denied maintaining membership lists due to the organization’s highly private nature, yet a detailed roster containing over 2,000 names surfaced publicly. This contradiction undermines the club’s credibility and exposes the lengths these elites go to hide their associations from everyday Americans who deserve transparency from those wielding power. Interesting time to bring Bohemian Grove back into the lexicon… Alleged Bohemian Grove Member List Leaked A purported membership list for the ultra-exclusive Bohemian Grove — the secretive California retreat for powerful men — was reportedly obtained and shared online. The… pic.twitter.com/2bJSVbN2BA — NewsTreason Channel 17 (@NewsTreason) February 26, 2026 Power Players and Political Connections The leaked roster reads like a who’s who of America’s power structure, naming entertainment moguls, Silicon Valley billionaires, and political heavyweights. Former late-night host Conan O’Brien appears alongside billionaire Michael Bloomberg, Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Paul Pelosi—husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi—and conservative donor Charles Koch. Historical members include Presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and media icon Walter Cronkite. This concentration of influence in one secretive organization raises legitimate concerns about accountability and whether decisions affecting ordinary Americans are being shaped at exclusive gatherings where transparency doesn’t exist. The presence of both Republican and Democrat figures suggests bipartisan elite networking that transcends public political theater. Journalist Breakthrough Contradicts Official Denials Independent journalist Daniel Boguslaw obtained the alleged membership list after persistent outreach to a Bay Area-based club member, demonstrating the investigative tenacity required to pierce the veil of elite secrecy. A club member subsequently confirmed the list’s authenticity to another outlet, directly contradicting the Bohemian Club’s official denial of maintaining such records. This discrepancy highlights a troubling pattern where powerful organizations publicly claim one thing while operating differently behind closed doors. The New York Post reported the leaked roster, bringing these connections into public view despite the club’s efforts to maintain absolute confidentiality. For conservatives who value transparency and accountability from those in positions of power, this leak represents a rare victory in exposing the networks that operate beyond public scrutiny. Questions About Influence and Accountability The Bohemian Grove gathering has long been the subject of speculation regarding what business, political, and cultural decisions are made during these exclusive retreats. The leaked membership list intensifies scrutiny around who attends and what influence is brokered without public oversight or accountability. This concentration of power among elites who meet privately contradicts the principles of transparent governance that conservatives champion. When billionaires, tech executives, Hollywood figures, and political operatives from both parties convene in secret, ordinary Americans have every right to question whether these gatherings serve the public interest or merely consolidate elite control. The club’s extreme efforts to maintain secrecy suggest an awareness that public knowledge of their activities and membership would invite legitimate criticism and demands for accountability. A San Francisco Bohemian Club member allegedly leaked the 2023 Bohemian Grove camp list to @DRBoguslaw. After pestering the person for weeks, a courier appeared at a bar with two manila envelopes: pic.twitter.com/mcwlxP9RJm — Rya Jetha (@reeyopeeyo) February 26, 2026 Elite Secrecy Challenged in Digital Age This leak demonstrates that maintaining absolute secrecy has become increasingly difficult in the digital age, even for organizations with vast resources and powerful members. The Bohemian Club’s inability to prevent this disclosure suggests potential erosion of their confidentiality protocols and raises questions about what other information might surface. For Americans frustrated with globalist elites operating beyond public accountability, this exposure offers a rare glimpse into exclusive networks that shape policy and culture while claiming not to maintain records of their own membership. The contradiction between the club’s official denials and the confirmed leaked roster undermines trust and validates concerns about transparency. As pressure mounts for elite organizations to operate more openly, this leak may force changes to membership protocols or increased public scrutiny of influence-brokering activities that affect all Americans. Why Starfleet Academy Used Our Town to Bring Back Mary Wiseman’s Tilly

News Starfleet Academy Why Starfleet Academy Used Our Town to Bring Back Mary Wiseman’s Tilly It turns out both Mary Wiseman and Tilly have connections to Our Town By Matthew Byrd | Published on February 27, 2026 Photo: Paramount+ Comment 0 Share New Share Photo: Paramount+ Quite a lot happens in Starfleet Academy’s excellent 8th episode “The Life of the Stars,” but the adventure is arguably highlighted by two occurrences: unexpected rehearsals for a performance of the 1938 Thornton Wilder play Our Town and the return of Mary Wiseman’s Lt. Sylvia Tilly. As it turns out, the two things are closely related for reasons beyond what we see in the episode. “Looking at the episode and at the trauma through the eyes of these two young women felt very important… how we can use stories to heal also meant something to us as a writers’ room,” says Starfleet Academy creator Gaia Violo in an interview with TV Insider. “Our Town just sort of felt like this perfect, simple, rich story about the human experience and about time.” Interestingly, Wiseman herself has a pretty notable a connection to the classic play. “We realized as we began to talk to Mary Wiseman about coming back to play Tilly, that when she was at Juilliard, she played Emily in Our Town,” says executive producer Noga Landau. “So as a person, as an actor, it meant a lot to her to come back and now play this role teaching these cadets about Our Town.” Yet, Wiseman says that the script for this episode existed before the crew knew just how connected to Our Town the actress was. “It’s crazy! Noga and Alex came to me with it,” Wiseman told Fangirlish regarding the episode. “They had already written it. I was just floored. You have no idea how hard you’ve hit the nail on the head. I can’t believe this. I was so psyched to get into it. It was just kismet; it was like they knew, but I don’t know that they did. It was a really happy coincidence, I think.” Beyond the benefits of her own experience with the text, Wiseman believes there are reasons why Tilly is uniquely capable of guiding the students through such a seemingly unusual exercise. “She’s been through big loss and kept going, which I’m sure all the teachers who work in Starfleet Academy have had some version of that,” Wiseman says. “I also think that Tilly is a person who’s pretty tuned into what’s going on with other people. I think she’s pretty good at reading other people and is very empathic, but also has learned through her own journey how to be tough… So I think that she’s the person for this job because she can dynamically read what’s going on with these students and respond in a way that she thinks will push them to the place they need to go in order to actually face what’s happened to them and move through it and learn from it. As some of you may recall, though, Tilly was originally expected to be a bigger part of Starfleet Academy. After all, we learn at the end of Star Trek: Discovery that she went on to become a professor at the Academy, which seems to have been the perfect set-up for her to become a recurring character on this new show. While it’s still not clear what happened behind the scenes that may have prevented Tilly from becoming a series regular (if that was indeed ever really the plan), Wiseman says she was told what Tilly is up to in this universe that keeps her away from the main cast this season. “My understanding is that Tilly works with the third years,” Wiseman says in an interview with Screen Rant. “So that’s why she’s not present in the school on a regular basis.” If you really want to read into that further than is probably advisable, Tilly teaching the third year cadets means that she could theoretically end up teaching the Starfleet Academy cast once they reach their third year in school. However, that’s far from a guarantee, especially since Starfleet Academy hasn’t been approved for a third season as of the time of this writing. As for the recently wrapped second season of the show, everyone is playing it coy at the moment regarding the possibility that Tilly will return. “Well, I can’t say any spoilers for Season 2,” Landau tells TV Insider. “But I will say that Mary Wiseman, who was with us at our premiere, is always close to our hearts and we want her as much as possible.” [end-mark] The post Why Starfleet Academy Used Our Town to Bring Back Mary Wiseman’s Tilly appeared first on Reactor.

Senate Mardi Gras Dog Parade Draws Backlash

A parade for dogs in the United States Capitol Complex has drawn backlash from House Republicans and conservative commentators demanding Senate action on a voter ID bill. On Wednesday afternoon, Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., held a Mardi Gras-themed “Bipawtisan Doggi Gras Pawrade” in the Hart Senate office building. Tillis, who is not seeking reelection in 2026, has held an annual dog parade for years, usually near Halloween. In 2025, however, Tillis cancelled the October “Howl-o-ween” parade due to an ongoing federal government shutdown. The reaction to Tillis’ 2026 parade from some circles was harsh. “This is why the US Senate doesn’t have time to focus on the SAVE Act to secure elections for US Citizens and Voter ID,” wrote “Based Jessica” in an X post that has received over a half million views. “They had a Dog Parade today… They are useless.” This is why the US Senate doesn't have time to focus on the SAVE Act to secure elections for US Citizens and Voter ID.They had a Dog Parade today. Mark Harris, R-N.C., Thursday on X. “But REFUSE to bring the SAVE America Act to the floor for debate. And they say they ‘don’t have time’ to save America.” Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, wrote, “@SenateGOP has time to pass resolutions to throw parades but not to secure our elections? Pathetic. DO BETTER. PASS THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.” “Did they listen to Trump on Tuesday? There is work to do,” wrote Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., on X. ?UNBELIEVABLE: @SenateGOP had time to pass a resolution for their dog parade this month…But REFUSE to bring the SAVE America Act to the floor for debate. And they say they "don't have time" to save America. pic.twitter.com/ILPgKnccGy— Rep. Mark Harris (@RepMarkHarrisNC) February 26, 2026 On Thursday, Tillis responded to the critics of the parade. “They’re either sad cases or cat owners,” Tillis said of naysayers. “With all due respect, I like cats, but… come on guys. My God. It was a 45-minute session. I can walk and chew gum at the same time. They should try it.” The public scolding by some House Republicans is part of a larger pressure campaign on Senate Republicans to force a “talking filibuster” to pass the SAVE America Act. In theory, this approach involves enforcing Senate rules so that Democrats would have to speak continuously if they wish to block the legislation that requires voter identification and proof of citizenship for participation in federal elections. Proponents argue this approach is consistent with the Senate’s rules and could allow Republicans to overcome the typical 60-vote threshold required to end debate on bills. Join us for the Doggi Gras Pawrade this Wednesday in the Hart Atrium. Lineup for the pawrade will begin at 3:50 PM. We look forward to seeing you and your pups as we celebrate Mardi Gras in true bipawtisan style. ??? pic.twitter.com/oqx6z7YUBs— Senator Thom Tillis (@SenThomTillis) February 23, 2026 Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., has said this strategy could eat up time for other priorities, and has argued the protracted process of tabling Democrat amendments to the bill could stall efforts to reopen the Department of Homeland Security. The agency is currently shut down due to Senate Democrats denying the votes necessary to bring a funding bill to a final vote. “The coin [of] the realm in the Senate is floor time,” Thune said in early February. “There’s a finite amount of it and we have a lot of things we have to do… We will vote on the SAVE Act, but … triggering a talking filibuster has ramifications, implications that I think everybody needs to be aware of.” The post Senate Mardi Gras Dog Parade Draws Backlash appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Bill Clinton on Epstein: ‘I Would Have Turned Him in Myself’ if Aware of Crimes

Former President Bill Clinton denied knowing about the crimes of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, in his statement for a deposition before a House investigative committee. “As someone who grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I not have flown on his plane if I had any inkling of what he was doing—I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals,” Clinton said of Epstein in his opening statement, posted on social media. A day earlier, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeatedly told House investigators she knew nothing about Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 in what was determined a suicide. She told the committee members to ask the former president. On Friday morning, House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., planned to take her advice. “Ms. Clinton deferred a lot of questions to her husband today,” Comer said. “There were at least a dozen times when she said, you’ll have to ask my husband that. I can’t answer that. So, we already had a big portfolio of questions for him, and that increased yesterday.” The committee traveled to Chappaqua, New York, near the Clinton home, for the closed-door deposition. While the former secretary of state denied ever meeting Epstein, the 42nd president was once photographed in a swimming pool at Epstein’s estate, appearing with both Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of helping him perpetrate crimes, and another woman whose face was blocked out. The photo was published in a batch of Epstein files released by the Justice Department in December. Meanwhile, Comer has noted that Bill Clinton was on Epstein’s plane two dozen times, and that Epstein visited the Clinton White House more than a dozen times. Both depositions are the culmination of a monthslong process that began when a House Oversight federal law enforcement subcommittee—in a bipartisan vote—subpoenaed 10 individuals, including the Clintons, to testify on what they knew about Epstein. The Clintons were initially scheduled for depositions in October but declined. They also declined dates in December and January. In late January, nine Democrats joined 25 Republicans on the full House Oversight Committee to advance a contempt of Congress charge against Bill Clinton for failing to appear at his scheduled deposition earlier that month. Only three Democrats voted to hold Hillary Clinton in contempt for failing to appear at her scheduled deposition in January. Then, ahead of a vote by the full House on the contempt of Congress charges, the Clintons agreed to a deposition to stave off the vote. Maxwell’s lawyer, David Oscar Markus, who is seeking clemency for his client in exchange for her testimony, recently told the committee that “both President Trump and President Clinton are innocent of any wrongdoing.” The post Bill Clinton on Epstein: ‘I Would Have Turned Him in Myself’ if Aware of Crimes appeared first on The Daily Signal.
