Princess Charlotte Paid Tribute To Queen Elizabeth With Very Special Family Heirloom During Trooping The Colour

Before passing in 2022, Queen Elizabeth ensured her great-granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, had something to remember her by. The queen gifted Charlotte with a special brooch. The horseshoe pin has been in the royal family for generations and represents Elizabeth’s love for horses. Princess Charlotte wore the special brooch to her grandmother’s funeral, pinned lovingly above her heart. While it’s certainly not an everyday piece of jewelry, Charlotte wore it for a very special occasion recently. On June 14, Princess Charlotte donned the special brooch from her grandmother to the annual Trooping the Colour celebration. View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Royal Family (@theroyalfamily) Princess Charlotte Rode In A Carriage With Her Mother And Brothers Prince William participated in the Trooping the Colour on horseback while his family sat together in a horse-drawn carriage. Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte wore beautiful shades of blue, and Prince George and Prince Louis wore worse dapper suits. The royal family shared their gratitude with Great Britain in a lovely video posted on Instagram. “A huge thank you to our Military personnel for a truly triumphant Trooping today! Over 1,000 soldiers, around 200 horses and approximately 300 musicians came together in a display of Military precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark The King’s official birthday,” the caption reads. “And what a great way to conclude the celebrations, with a flypast from our friends @RAFRedArrows flying for the first time with a mix of sustainable aviation fuel.” “Smashing morning of Trooping the Colour where our soldiers look their best. Showing us their many skills. It was faultless made me proud,” a comment reads. “Beautiful family. Catherine once again today looked stunning. Prince William is so handsome. He looks amazing in uniform,” another person wrote. Many missed seeing Queen Elizabeth, whose reign lasted for an unprecedented 70 years. Princess Charlotte’s subtle tribute to her great-grandmother ensured Queen Elizabeth was there in spirit. This story’s featured image is by Rasid Necati Aslim/Anadolu via Getty Images. Ten Years Ago, the Liberal Media LAUGHED When Trump Entered Politics

The liberal media may thoroughly despise President Donald Trump, but they cannot deny his political clout. “Trump is the heart, soul and undisputed leader of the Republican Party,” Mike Allen wrote in Axios back in 2021. After Trump’s 2024 election victory, Time magazine admitted the President-elect was “the world’s most powerful man,” selecting him (for the second time) as their Person of the Year. “He has realigned American politics, remaking the GOP and leaving Democrats reckoning with what went awry,” pronounced senior political correspondent Eric Cortellessa. And on January 20, the Associated Press conceded: “Trump’s inauguration realized a political comeback without precedent in American history.”  Yet ten years ago tomorrow — June 16, 2015 — liberal journalists mocked and belittled Trump as having zero chance of success after the real estate mogul declared his candidacy for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination in a lunchtime speech at Trump Tower. Minutes after the announcement, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell asked her Democratic guest, former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell: “Do you have any doubt that this is anything more than a carnival show?” On CBS This Morning the next day, co-host Norah O’Donnell relayed how “some Republicans say they’re worried Trump will turn the campaign into a circus,” as correspondent Nancy Cordes echoed how “party leaders worry Trump’s presence will turn the primary into a joke.” Over on CNN, host Carol Costello displayed the sneering cover of the New York Daily News, with Trump wearing circus make-up: “Clown Runs for Prez.” “Can we stipulate for the purposes of this conversation that Donald Trump will never be President of the United States?” Mike Barnicle asked on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. There were plenty of personal insults. CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin called Trump a “fool,” while NBC’s Chuck Todd blasted him as “a late-night joke” and “a political streaker.” The morning after Trump’s announcement, NBC’s Today show relegated the news to a 23-second brief, but made sure to include this insulting sentence: “America’s largest Latino civil rights organization called Trump ‘an exceedingly silly man.’” On the June 16 edition of Bloomberg’s daily political show With All Due Respect, co-host John Heilemann announced: “I do not hate Donald Trump, but I do not take him seriously....Everything that was garish and ridiculous about him was fully on display....Will it get him anywhere close to becoming the nominee or the President of the United States? I think not.” There was a lot more like that. Here’s a video montage of coverage, all from the day and a half immediately following Trump’s presidential announcement ten years ago (June 16-17, 2015):     The media’s insistence that Trump had no hope in the presidential election wasn’t merely a symptom of their smug nastiness. Journalists’ political predictions are grounded in their understanding of both the public’s mood at any given time, as well as the capability of campaigns to successfully tap into the issues that matter most to voters. After eight years of Barack Obama’s presidency, the media in 2015 had blinded themselves to the discontents that fueled Trump’s rise — and continue to power his presidency today.  They weren’t trying to make fools of themselves by insisting Trump couldn’t win, yet that’s what happened, as the media exposed their woeful lack of understanding of Americans who live outside the elite media bubbles of New York City and Washington, D.C. Dads: Want to leave a legacy for your kids? Focus on living like this.

Too many children in America are growing up without a father. Sadly, even when there is a father in the home, although he is physically present, he is often emotionally absent. On this Father’s Day, I want to reflect upon a simple premise: To leave a legacy, you must live a legacy.None of us will ever get everything right. But we can choose to be faithful even when we mess up.Leaving a legacy for your kids is certainly important, but the emphasis of scripture is living a legacy. If we’re going to pass our faith along, we must first possess our faith. Fathers must confess their faith openly while also living it and walking in purity and integrity.Little eyes are watching you, Dad. There’s no place in our lives for the stain of moral impurity or the lack of integrity. We need to be setting the highest possible standards for our lives, not seeing how close to sin we can get without being burned. So much about being a father is about being the leader of the home.Consider the questions:How are you living? What kind of leader are you?If you are a follower of Christ, you’ll be living right and you’ll be the right kind of leader in your family, in your community, and your church.A man who pursues integrity and follows Christ in His holiness and purity is a godly father who can faithfully lead his family in truth.Following Jesus means humbling yourself enough to admit when you're wrong. Maybe you've lost your temper, been distracted and disengaged at home, or ignored what God’s been nudging you to confront. Leading well starts with being led — by Christ. It’s about more than clocking a few distracted minutes with your kids each day. It’s about living a life they can watch and imitate. Can they see that you follow Jesus — not because you say it, but because it’s obvious in the way you live? That’s the kind of legacy that matters.None of us will ever get everything right. But we can choose to be faithful even when we mess up.Sons need to see a dad who doesn’t just talk about values but actively pursues Christ. Daughters need to see their father love their mother with the same faithfulness and sacrifice Christ showed His church.Dads, your children don’t need a perfect father. They need a present one. They need a praying one, and they need a passionate one. They don’t need a weekend warrior or a distant provider. They need someone who’s following Jesus and letting Jesus lead him every day.If we do that — if we stay close to Christ — we won’t just leave a legacy. We’ll live one. Right here, right now, in our homes, in our churches, and in the hearts of the children who are watching us every day.As we consider the significance of Father’s Day, let’s make it our lifelong goal to be faithful in God’s eyes — and not just be successful by the world’s standards. In the end, we may never be the smartest, richest, or most accomplished men in the room. But we can be the fathers our children need and the followers Christ has called us to be.
