A winter storm in Indiana created dangerous driving conditions and contributed to a horrific pile-up on Interstate 70 involving 45 vehicles. The sheriff’s department warned that the interstate is “rough” in Grant County with conditions “getting worse by the hour.” “If you’re traveling, please take it slow and stay alert,” the department said on its Facebook post. No exact details on the multi-vehicle crash were shared outside the photograph and a warning. An INDOT alert shortly after 2 p.m. stated I-69 southbound was closed due to a crash involving 15 vehicles near mile marker 265. Meanwhile, the Delaware County Indiana Emergency Management said numerous crashes have also kept first responders across Delaware County busy. “Unnecessary travel is discouraged,” the Delaware County EMA said. In Wabash County, a jackknifed semi closed State Road 114 at around 2 p.m. Western Indiana hasn’t been spared either as an INDOT alert stated that all lanes of I-70 westbound near mile marker 13 in Vigo County are closed due to crashes involving “30-50 vehicles.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said on Monday that several of his New York offices faced bomb threats from an email with the subject line “MAGA.” “This morning, I was informed by law enforcement entities throughout New York of multiple bomb threats that were made at my offices in Rochester, Binghamton, and Long Island with the email subject line ‘MAGA’ and from an email address alleging the ‘2020 election was rigged,'” Schumer said. “Local and federal law enforcement responded immediately and are conducting full security sweeps. Everyone is safe, and I am grateful for their quick and professional response to ensure these offices remain safe and secure for all New Yorkers,” the New York Democrat continued. “As I have said many times, these kinds of violent threats have absolutely no place in our political system. No one—no public servant, no staff member, no constituent, no citizen—should ever be targeted for simply doing their job,” he added. The person requested anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. The U.S. Capitol Police declined comment, saying they do not discuss member security for safety reasons. Schumer said he asked the FBI to undergo a full investigation into the bomb threats. On Monday, Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., took to X to post an expletive-laden compilation of messages she has received from people calling for her to be murdered. “Leadership climate is set at the top. So, when President Trump calls for me to be killed and hanged, many people take that as license to call my office and say even worse,” Slotkin wrote. Last week, two National Guard members deployed to Washington, D.C., were shot near the White House in what law enforcement called a “targeted” shooting.
