Prosecutors allege that LaBruno sprayed an unknown substance into his hand, causing the victim to become dizzy and incapacitated, before committing the assault. One report from CBS News describes the substance as a nitrite popper and identifies the victim as a 17-year-old boy. LaBruno, who has been a police officer since December 1, 2005, and earns over $120,000 annually, was suspended without pay immediately following his arrest, as stated by a Jersey City Police Department spokeswoman. He’s pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains detained in Bergen County Jail. This was most likely a “Nitrate Popper” which the prosecution alleges LaBruno used “when he did not immediately get what he was looking for.” LaBruno continued to act on the boy beyond his will (no more details necessary) until the boy’s father came home and CHASED Mr. LaBruno out of the house! LaBruno has been charged with official misconduct, first-degree aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and child endangerment, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The judge also did NOT allow Mr. LaBruno ANY bail since he was concerned that “based on his behavior in the aftermath of this incident, he would use his position and influence to possibly obstruct the criminal justice process. On Thursday, a Bergen County Grand Jury indicted LaBruno on two counts of second-degree official misconduct, as well as first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He has been suspended without pay since his arrest. An additional misconduct charge was filed after it was discovered that LaBruno (allegedly) identified himself as a police officer to try to hinder his own apprehension. Department of Homeland Security officials said that Mr. Lopez had entered the United States illegally at an unknown date and location. A department spokeswoman pointed fingers at politicians and media whom she said have demonized ICE and encouraged resistance of agents. “Fleeing from and resisting federal law enforcement is not only a crime but extraordinarily dangerous and puts oneself, our officers and innocent civilians at risk,” said Tricia McLaughlin, the spokeswoman. “Now, an innocent bystander has lost their life.” This is equally tragic and infuriating. Since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, rumors have spread online regarding the possibility that the Guthrie family itself may be behind the kidnapping. Users on X have claimed without evidence that the sister of Savannah Guthrie, Annie Guthrie, and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, may have been behind Nancy’s abduction. The rumors came after it was reported that Tommaso Cioni dropped Nancy off at her home the night she went missing. Now, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has finally addressed those rumors. In a press release, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has cleared all members of the Guthrie family in the abduction of Nancy. Fox 11 was the first to report on the Pima County Sheriff’s Office clearing Nancy Guthrie’s family: Family members of Nancy Guthrie, including her children and their spouses, have been ruled out as suspects in her disappearance, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Monday. “To be clear…the Guthrie family – to include all siblings and spouses – has been cleared as possible suspects in this case. The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said on Feb. 16. The sheriff goes on to say the family members are victims. “To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel. The Guthrie family are victims plain and simple…please, I’m begging you the media to honor your profession and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism,” Sheriff Nanos said. Guthrie, 84, was last seen on Jan. 31 at her Catalina Foothills Tucson-area home. She didn’t arrive for church the next day and that’s when the authorities were notified. Since then, blood droplets were found on her front porch where her Nest camera captured surveillance footage of a masked suspect. At one point, the suspect tried to cover up the lense with leaves. A petition that would ban most hunting, fishing, and animal research in Oregon has nearly enough signatures to qualify for a ballot measure. The petition, organized by animal rights advocates, would change how animals are treated under state law. I’m hopeful that whether you’re in an urban region or a rural region, you understand what makes Oregon great. And part of that is our wildlife. And part of that is our economy that comes from our farming and ranching. And that folks will really, really delve into what this [proposal] does and how this is going to affect us not just in the abstract. I somehow missed seeing this a year ago when it happened, but my good friend Pastor Manny sent it to me this morning and I watched it for the first time. So I wanted to share it with you as well. But look what God has done. We praise Him and give Him glory. Yeah. Let us pray. Our Father and our God, thou hast said, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. As the prophet Daniel prayed, blessed be the name of God for ever and ever. For wisdom and might are his. He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings. He raises up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. Our Father today, as President Donald J. Trump takes the oath of office once again. We come to say thank you, O Lord our God. Father, when Donald Trump’s enemies thought he was down and out, you and you alone saved his life and raised him up with strength and power by your mighty hand. We pray for President Trump that you watch over, protect, guide, and direct him. Give him your wisdom from your throne on high. We ask that you would bless him and that our nation would be blessed through him. We also ask that you would bless and protect Melania as First Lady. We thank you for the beauty, the warmth, and grace that she shows not only to this nation, but to the whole world. We thank you for Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife Usha and their young family. May he be a strength to President Trump to stand beside him, to hold up his arms like Aaron held up the arms of Moses in the midst of battle. The prophet Samuel reminded the people it was you that brought them up from the land of Egypt. He said, now stand still that I may reason with you before the Lord. So Father, we take this moment to stand still to remember the great things that you have done for this nation. Thank you for the protection, the bounty, and the freedoms that we so enjoy. We remember to keep our eyes fixed on you. And may our hearts be inclined to your voice. We know that America can never be great again if we turn our backs on you. We ask for your help, and we pray all of this in the name of the King of kings, the Lord of Lords, your son, my savior and our redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.
