Senate Sanctions War by Omission: U.S. Sleepwalking Into Conflict with Venezuela

from 21st Century Wire: When the U.S. Senate voted on Thursday to block a bipartisan resolution that would have restrained Donald Trump’s authority to strike Venezuela, it did more than deny Congress a say in war. It opened the door to yet another undeclared conflict, one that risks shattering lives across the Caribbean while hiding […]

Mike Pence Considering Another Presidential Run?

Despite an embarrassing 2024 presidential campaign, Mike Pence refused to rule out a future run for the White House in a recent panel discussion. “Would you think of another campaign in all seriousness?” Pence was asked during a conversation with former U.S. Deputy Attorney General and Grove City College President Paul McNulty. “I don’t know what the future holds,” Pence responded. “We’ll let the future take care of itself,” he added. Watch the clip: BREAKING: Mike Pence weighs 2028 run for President… Q: “Would you think of another campaign?” TRAITOR: "I don't know what the future holds!—We’ll let the future take care of itself.” pic.twitter.com/QzMDeWFFoa — The Patriot Oasis (@ThePatriotOasis) November 9, 2025 The Meadville Tribune shared more: Pence joined Paul McNulty, recently retired Grove City College president who served as deputy attorney general during the George W. Bush administration, for a conversation on religion and politics at the Jefferson Educational Society. The conversation was part of the society’s Global Summit event series that brings world leaders to the local stage. Pence and McNulty emphasized faith as the foundation for civility and said the values they hold as Christians are a vital part to bringing the country back to a place of prosperity. The two currently teach political science classes together at Grove City College. Pence related that early in his career, he felt he had to choose between being a public servant and being a Christian. What the two now teach students is that they don’t have to choose. With Gov. Josh Shapiro being Jewish and New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani drawing on their faith for their political values, Pence and McNulty likewise explained how their faith has shaped their lives and why they see it as the path to move forward together. Speaking to The Meadville Tribune, McNulty said, “Some people think that it’s in conflict with their faith to be engaged in politics and public service because they have to compromise so much. And what we want to say is no, you don’t have to compromise. You can be consistent to your convictions and still be able to serve extensively.” Pence’s response to the possibility of another campaign contrasted with his answer earlier this year, saying “I don’t see that in my future.” “I don’t see it, but we’ll keep standing for everything we’ve always stood for, and we’ll let the future take care of itself,” he said in May, according to The Hill. Pence’s most recent response has sparked speculation he’s considering a 2028 presidential run. BREAKING: Mike Pence mysteriously hints he’s considering a 2028 run for PRESIDENT to overcome MAGA. Q: Would you think of another campaign? "I don't know what the future holds! […] We’ll let the future take care of itself…” https://t.co/P7MmOD2pcg — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) November 9, 2025 The Hill reported in May: Pence, 65, said he would like to continue to play a role in conservative policy, though he offered no direct insight into what that may look like. He launched the Advancing American Freedom conservative think tank in 2021, and he sought the GOP presidential nomination last year but gained little momentum among voters. “I want to be a voice for conservative values. I want to be a voice for the policies and liberties enshrined in the Constitution of the United States,” Pence told Welker. “I want to be a champion of the conservative cause, and that’s where I’ll stay focused, and we’ll let the future take care of itself.”
