Democrats Publish Alleged “Birthday Letter” From Trump To Epstein, But The Signature DOESN’T Match

Democrats have once again attempted to link President Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. On Friday, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee released an alleged birthday letter from President Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. The alleged birthday letter was initially reported by the Wall Street Journal last month. In response to the WSJ’s release of the letter’s content, President Trump denied ever writing it and announced he was suing the WSJ for $10 billion for defamation. Take a look at the letter here: HERE IT IS: We got Trump’s birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein that the President said doesn’t exist. Trump talks about a “wonderful secret” the two of them shared. What is he hiding? Release the files! pic.twitter.com/k2Mq8Hu3LY — Oversight Dems (@OversightDems) September 8, 2025 It reads: Donald: “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.” Jeffrey: “Yes we do, come to think of it.” Donald: “Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?” Jeffrey: “As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.” Donald: “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be a wonderful secret.” The Times of Israel shared more details on the letter: Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee release a sexually suggestive letter to Jeffrey Epstein purportedly signed by President Donald Trump, which the president has denied. Trump has said he did not write the letter or create the drawing of a curvaceous woman that surrounds it. He filed a $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal for a report on the alleged letter. The letter was included as part of a 2003 album compiled for alleged sex trafficker Epstein’s birthday. The president has denied having anything to do with it. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee received a copy of the birthday album earlier today, as part of a batch of documents from Epstein’s estate. The White House did not immediately respond to a message from the Associated Press seeking comment. After the letter’s release, White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich posts pictures on X of Trump’s signature and tags The Wall Street Journal’s parent corporation, News Corp., writing: “Time for @newscorp to open that checkbook, it’s not his signature. DEFAMATION!” Conservatives quickly pointed out the signature on the letter didn’t match President Trump’s signature. Take a look: The Wall Street Journal just released the “letter” they claim President Trump sent to Epstein… Is this really the best they could do? Trump has the most famous signature in the world. Time to sue them into the oblivion. pic.twitter.com/zE7DQ1y0CW — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) September 8, 2025 HOLY CRAP! The “letter to Epstein” which Wall Street Journal claimed Trump signed has been released And the “signature” looks absolutely NOTHING like President Trump’s REAL signature Trump is going to BANKRUPT WSJ! pic.twitter.com/SEoaiDs4WR — Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) September 8, 2025 Trump’s authenticated signature in 1993 vs the signature from the fake letter purported to be from the same year pic.twitter.com/92mNOczBft — Aesthetica (@Anc_Aesthetics) September 8, 2025

Palestinian Gunmen Kill 6 People In Jerusalem

The conflict between Israel and Palestine continues. Israeli authorities have reported six people were killed in a terrorist attack in Jerusalem. Officials in Israel have reported that two Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a busy bus junction in the heart of Jerusalem, resulting in six dead and several injured. Here are some of the scenes: This morning in Jerusalem, 6 innocent civilians were brutally murdered. Palestinian terrorists opened fire on a bus full of people, aiming to kill as many as possible. What kind of education produces such madness? pic.twitter.com/E6tXdCf40P — Sacha Roytman (@SachaRoytman) September 8, 2025 Just in case you haven’t heard, because the international media won’t mention it, two Muslim Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an Israeli bus and murdered six Jews this morning in Jerusalem. The world wants to give those savages a state.pic.twitter.com/rmZ6HNrqOO — Vivid. (@VividProwess) September 8, 2025 CNN reported more details on the deadliest attack in Jerusalem in two years: At least six people were killed and several injured on Monday after two attackers opened fire on a busy bus stop in Jerusalem, Israeli officials said, marking the deadliest attack in the city in more than two years. The gunmen, who arrived at the junction in a vehicle carrying weapons, ammunition and a knife, shot at dozens of people waiting near buses in the area. “I saw people falling or getting hurt while trying to escape,” eyewitness Elazar Toledano told Reuters. Toledano said it took people a few seconds to understand what was happening after the first burst of gunfire. “Someone suddenly shouted ‘Terror attack!’ and people started running.” The suspected attackers were killed by an Israeli combat soldier and a civilian at the site, prompting calls by far-right ministers for the arming of more civilians in Israel. Police identified the gunmen as Muthanna Omar, 20, and Muhammad Taha, 21, who are both from villages just outside Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank. One Spanish national was among the six killed, according to the Spanish Foreign Ministry. Twenty people were injured, according to Israel police. Israeli special forces, ambulances and rescue workers rushed to the attack site where bloodstained pavements were littered with shattered glass from bus windows damaged in the shooting. “When I first came to the area I saw a lot of people laying down in the street bleeding,” Fadi Dekaidek, one of the paramedics for Israel’s emergency services Magen David Adom, told CNN. I just read through the entire New York Times article about the terrorist attack in Jerusalem. Not once did they mention that Palestinian terrorists perpetrated the attack, nor that the victims were Israelis or civilians. pic.twitter.com/kbwYeqfFMm — Eyal Yakoby (@EYakoby) September 8, 2025 CBS reported more details on the deadly terrorist attack: Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a bus stop in north Jerusalem on Monday, killing six people and wounding several others, according to officials. The bus stop is at the busy Ramot Junction on Yigal Street, which leads to East Jerusalem. Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) said five people were killed in the shooting attack, but Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, speaking later during a visit to Hungary, said six people were killed and that a pregnant woman was among those wounded. Police said two gunmen were also killed. The MDA said earlier that seven other people were left in serious condition, but it was unclear if that number had changed as the death toll climbed from an initial four to the six announced by Saar. The dead included a man “about 50 years old and three men aged around 30,” according to a statement from the MDA, which added that it was providing medical treatment to several of those wounded. Video from the scene showed dozens of people fleeing the sound of gunfire, running past stationary cars at the crowded intersection. Israeli media reported that the attackers boarded a bus full of passengers and opened fire.

IT’S OFFICIAL: President Trump Launches ‘Operation Midway Blitz’ Surging Federal Troops Into Chicago

The Trump Administration has launched it’s much anticipated anti-crime and immigration crackdown in Chicago today. The large operation is still ramping up as I type. DHS has verified it is surging federal agents into the Democrat led ‘sanctuary city’ as part of the operation. President Trump stated emphatically almost a week ago during an Oval Office presser ‘we’re going in’ when asked about the imminent crackdown. But just last night, speaking to reporters on the tarmac at Andrews Airforce Base, he specified that plans would be nailed down “over the next day or two”: .@POTUS: “Chicago is a very dangerous place — and we have a governor that doesn’t care about crime… We’re going to make a decision as to where we go over the next day or two.” pic.twitter.com/NyIvqyy3PV — Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) September 7, 2025 Now, less than 24 hours later, the greenlight has been given and ‘Operation Midway Blitz’ has been confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security to now be underway. The operation is being carried out in honor of a woman killed by an illegal in Chicago, Katie Abraham, as reported by the New York Post: The Department of Homeland Security kicked off a crackdown on illegal immigrants in Chicago Monday — after local Democrats spent the weekend protesting President Trump’s threat of a federal law enforcement surge in America’s third-largest city. “DHS is launching Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham who was killed in a drunk driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol in Illinois,” the department tweeted. ICE has been positioning staff to carry out operations for more than a week, leading sources to say that a crackdown was imminent. The mission isn’t yet a full-blown policing intervention — and Trump has vacillated in public remarks on whether he will order a surge of federal agents into the Windy City to fight violent crime. “We’d love to go into Chicago,” Trump said in a speech in DC Monday morning. “We’re waiting for a call from Chicago.” There is no word on any call coming from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, or from Illinois Governor Pritzker. Though no one seriously expected either the Mayor or Governor to suddenly come to their senses and work WITH the Trump Administration on their crime and immigration issues. The Department of Homeland Security announced the operation via their official X account, along with a video highlighting the death of Katie Abraham as lamented by her parents: DHS is launching Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham who was killed in a drunk driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol in Illinois. This ICE operation will target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois… pic.twitter.com/OjbgtTE1Au — Homeland Security (@DHSgov) September 8, 2025 Here’s the full text of that DHS announcement: DHS is launching Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham who was killed in a drunk driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol in Illinois. This ICE operation will target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois because they knew Governor Pritzker and his sanctuary policies would protect them and allow them to roam free on American streets. President Trump and Secretary Noem stand with the victims of illegal alien crime while Governor Pritzker stands with criminal illegal aliens. Besides the ‘blitz’ in Chicago, the Trump Administration is blitzing Gov. Pritzker for his lack of action on the criminals, terrorists, and dangerous illegals in Illinois. In that previous video from Fox News, you heard President Trump say that Gov. Pritzker “doesn’t care about crime”. And then this morning, as the operation kicked off… The Department of Homeland Security shared another video of an Assistant Secretary at DHS talking about some of the specifics of Gov. Pritzker’s lack of zeal for dealing with those issues. Check out this clip of Tricia McLaughlin with DHS from this morning, discussing what it has been like trying to keep Americans safe with Pritzker standing in the way: It is DISGUSTING that @GovPritzker chooses to fight for the criminal illegal aliens in Chicago instead of his American constituents. Under the leadership of @POTUS Trump and @Sec_Noem, DHS will continue to target the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens in Chicago, Boston,… pic.twitter.com/9M7inzESmg — Homeland Security (@DHSgov) September 8, 2025 According to McLaughlin, there aren’t just illegal “immigrants” walking around the streets of Chicago — as if that weren’t bad enough. There are “MS-13 gang members, known or suspected terrorists, convicted murderers, rapists…” out on the streets. Why?  Because even when they get picked up for some infraction, they almost immediately use that “cashless bail” system to get right back out on the street. It’s the proverbial revolving door that we always hear about, allowed to spin freely by the Democrat governor and mayor. As the DHS announcement emphasized, the operation in honor of Katie Abraham is targeting illegals like the one responsible for her death in Illinois, who attempted to flee across the southern border with Mexico following the crash. Twenty-year-old Katie died in that drunk-driving crash, and her twenty-one-year-old friend died the very next day at the hands of this drunk illegal who attempted to LEAVE the country immediately after fleeing the scene: BREAKING: ICE launches “Operation Midway Blitz” in Chicago The operation is in honor of Katie Abraham and Chloe Polzin, who were kiIIed in a drunk driving crash caused by an illegal in Illinois. There is no such thing as a sanctuary city anymore. If you’re here illegally,… pic.twitter.com/5kNQUd55xp — Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) September 8, 2025 Even so, Mayor Brandon Johnson has ordered Chicago’s police force to refuse cooperation with federal immigration agents just last week, according to the local Fox News affiliate out of Chicago: The operation was launched in honor of Katie Abraham, who was killed this year in a hit-and-run car crash with a Guatemalan man who was in the country illegally. “This ICE operation will target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois because they knew Governor Pritzker and his sanctuary policies would protect them and allow them to roam free on American streets,” a tweet from the department read. Abraham, 20, was visiting friends at the University of Illinois in January when the car she and four of her friends were traveling in was suddenly hit. “They were at a stoplight and there was someone who was driving drunk who hit them from behind at full force. And following the accident, he fled on foot,” said Katie’s father, Joe Abraham. Katie died at the scene, and her friend, Chloe Polzin, 21, of Deerfield, died the following day. U.S. Marshals arrested Julio Cucul Bol, a Guatemalan national using an alias, on a bus in Texas headed for the Mexican border just days after the crash. Over the course of the Trump administration’s immigration surges, Chicago officials repeatedly reaffirmed the city’s so-called sanctuary policies that have been place for four decades. Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order last week declaring city police would not collaborate with federal immigration agents. It also requires Chicago officers to wear uniforms and not wear masks to “clearly distinguish them from federal agents.” “We will not have our police officers who are working hard every single day to drive down crime deputized to do traffic stops and checkpoints for the president,” Johnson said before signing the order.  (Emphasis added.) Did you catch that part in bold? The Mayor of Chicago is going so far as changing the uniforms and issuing decrees about wearing masks to local law enforcement… So that the population can clearly identify the federal agents. Tell me again why Mayor Brandon Johnson isn’t in handcuffs yet for obstruction of justice — among other things!? Meanwhile, a little more than an hour ago, even the local Fox News reporters seemed a lot more like something you might hear from CNN or MSNBC while covering the start of the operation. Check out this video report from Fox News’ coverage locally:   The Trump Administration is obviously unrelenting in shifting the dynamics of illegal immigration and violent crime across the United States — including these so-called “sanctuary cities”. And the local population has been consistently stirred up to a fevered pitch against federal agents who are lawfully acting on the orders of the President in order to push back the AVOIDABLE crime epidemic. While it remains to be seen exactly how heavy-handed President Trump has decided to go on the issue of possible National Guard involvement, it is unlikely that he’ll suffer this to be done halfway. If the decision has been made to “go in”, as he said last week, it’s a sure bet that Operation Midway Blitz is built around a plan of action designed for RESULTS. Whether the National Guard is deployed or not… a surge of federal agents conducting raids and scooping up known threats is being promised by DHS to happen over the coming days. The only question is just how far the local democratic leadership will be in throwing up roadblocks — either literal, or figurative in nature — to thwart President Trump and the federal agents acting on his behalf. In that regard, this is a developing story — and we’ll bring you all the details as they play out.

Tedeschi Trucks Band & Gov’t Mule | September 4, 2025 | Saratoga Performing Arts Center | Saratoga Springs, NY – Concert Review & Photos

Review by Shawn Perry Live Photos by Stan Johnson When Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks came together in the Allman Brothers Band at the dawn of the new century, it was just the spark the veteran Southern Rock group needed to revitalize that classic ABB sound. They helped bring the band back after an unfortunate fallout with original guitarist Dickey Betts. Touring relentlessly and recording the Grammy-nominated Hittin’ The Note in 2003, this dream-team lineup spent the next decade ripping it up every which way until both Haynes and Trucks’ talents could no longer be contained. Haynes went full-time with his band Gov’t Mule, and Trucks formed his own group before teaming up with guitarist, singer, and wife Susan Tedeschi to create Tedeschi Trucks Band. Even so, the idea of Haynes and Trucks reuniting in some way was always in the cards. 2013: Derek Trucks & Warren Haynes with the Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Photo by Kimberly Fields On Haynes’ 2024 solo album Million Voices Whisper, Trucks joined his former Allman Brothers Band mate in the studio for the first time since Hittin The Note for “Real Real Love,” with the first few verses penned by the late Gregg Allman. That was only the beginning. On February 28, 2025, the two guitarists came to pay their respects to another late band mate from the Allmans at the “In Memory of Dickey Betts” concert in Macon, Georgia. Then in April 2025, they turned up on stage together again, this time at Madison Square Garden for The Brothers concert, which featured former Allman Brothers Band members, including the last living original member Jaimoe, plus a variety of guest musicians. Leaving the tributes and studio sessions behind, the next logical step, of course, was a Tedeschi Trucks Band and Gov’t Mule co-headlining Fall tour. With only six dates scheduled, I flew to Albany, New York, to cover the stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). As I was to find out, the 25,000 seat venue was a full and happy house. Trenton Jenkins & Nolan Taylor To get things started, Ohio-based singer, songwriter, and southpaw acoustic guitarist Nolan Taylor, accompanied by Trenton Jenkins on electric guitar and banjo, played a brief, pleasant set that drew a positive response. He couldn’t thank the audience enough. Gov’t Mule took the stage just as the sun was coming down. You could feel the excitement purring within the 5,000 seat indoor part of SPAC, while the other 20,000 or so scrambled for the best view from the lawn. A few warm-up notes from Haynes sporting a 12-string Les Paul, and we were off to the races with “Railroad Boy,” which the Mule covered on 2009’s By A Thread. Gov’t Mule With drummer Matt Abts on the sidelines recovering from performance-related aches and pains, Haynes was the sole original member tonight. Speculation ran high that the Mule may not sound like they usually do. All fears were immediately put to rest once the group locked in for a nearly two-hour, 12-song set. Joining Haynes was longtime keyboardist Danny Louis, along with bassist Kevin Scott, who replaced Jorgen Carlsson in 2023, and drummer Terence Higgins, who also happens to play with the current Warren Haynes Band and has filled in for Abts at other gigs. They not only managed to pull off the mix of covers and Mule songs with ease; they injected an extra dose of fire and soul into each number at any given opportunity. Terence Higgins & Warren Haynes With an everchanging set list and nine studio albums to choose from, there was no way of telling which direction they’d go. The chunky groove of “Slackjaw Jezebel” from 2004’s Déjà Voodoo had Haynes winding up the flange over an expanding, upbeat trot. It would prove to be a high energy romp through old and new, blues covers cast in black and red, wicked solos at every corner, and Warren Haynes very much at the center of it all. A solemn read of Bobby Bland’s “Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City” had Louis’ firm hand on the Hammond which, combined with Scott’s thunderous bass lines, created an undertow of sorts. They revisited the 1995 self-titled debut, first with the punchy “Painted Silver Light,” then later for the classic “Mule.” That unilaterally opened the door for “Birth Of The Mule” from 1998’s Dose. They would tackle the rest of the catalog, with a dab of Junior Wells and Al Green, to fill out the night. Danny Louis While Haynes took most of the solos — a combination of full-formed leads, slide, and everything in between — Louis, who also occasionally plays a bit of rhythm guitar, also got in his licks to balance the mood and melody. His Hammond organ, along with Scott’s bass, drove the train that chugged “After The Storm,” the only number of the evening from the Mule’s most recent studio release, 2024’s Peace…Like A River. Louis and Scott also gave Al Green’s “I’m A Ram” an extra shot of gumption. Once “Fallen Down” from 2001’s Life Before Insanity fell into the cadence of the Grateful Dead’s “The Other One” and ended on “just a kiss away” from the Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter,” where could the ship go but into the deep South for a slice of Allman Brothers pie. Perhaps Hayne’s most beloved composition, “Soulshine” was first brought into the Allman Brothers Band universe with Gregg Allman on vocals. Kevin Scott Then, and thereafter, however, it will always be a Warren Haynes song. You could sense that if they hadn’t closed the set with it, given the nature of the bill, a few Mule and old-school Allman fans in attendance might have felt a bit slighted. As it went, ending an unpredictable set with a predictable number was probably the best way to stir up the roaring ovation that followed. And everyone knew that wasn’t the last we’d see of Warren Haynes. I imagine a big reason why Tedeschi Trucks Band is closing the shows on this tour is partly because they comprise 12 musicians as opposed to Gov’t Mule’s four. However, there’s more to it than just that. Even though the band is named after Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, all the musicians are highlighted for their individual talents, which is why turnover is rare and a true chemistry has been established. Susan Tedeschi, Isaac Eady, Derek Trucks & Tyler Greenwell Tonight, they showed SPAC they are a world-class band that thrives on tradition, experimentation, and near-miss adventure. To call them a jam band is an oversimplification. TTB incorporate a myriad of styles and disciplines — from rock, blues, and country flavorings to jazz and Arabic — while maintaining a down-to-earth charm that is both confounding and endearing. How can they be such good musicians with so much charisma? They came on strong with “Don’t Let Me Slide” from their 2011 debut album, Revelator. Then, like an antelope in the wild, they veered left and ran through a couple of new ones — “Crazy Cryin’” with a smooth, catchy riff and a snappy little rocker called “I Got You.” If radio played hit-bound Americana, these two would be a shoo-in. Derek Trucks I can’t say I’ve ever heard a Tedeschi Trucks Band song on the radio (though they made the hit parade on a truck commercial). That may be because I rarely listen to radio and pretty much look at Tedeschi Trucks Band as a live unit. The group’s five studio albums give them a wealth of material to draw from; their individual talents in a concert setting transcend those records, allowing the musicality to rinse and cycle every scale to a newer, bolder height. The last time I saw the band was at the Ryman in Nashville. Within a more intimate setting, the intensity of their then-new album (actually a four EP series), I Am The Moon, felt right at home in the Mother Church of Country Music. Pulling in three numbers — the title track, “Circles ‘Round The Sun” and the mind-bending, genre-hopping instrumental “Pasaquan” — from the album at SPAC underscored its significance. Judging from the new songs, the group’s next release looks to be a bit more mainstream and less idiosyncratic. Susan Tedeschi Even so, Let’s hope they don’t abandon the ambition of I Am The Moon. In between solicitous turns at favorites like “Midnight In Harlem” and “Bound For Glory,” the musicianship of each player caught everyone’s attention. It’s hard to resist the sizzle of Trucks’ unique touch on the fretboard. At every opportunity, he never failed to provoke dropped-jaw eruptions of adulation and wonderment from the faithful. Tedeschi’s bucolic, sweet-laced voice was equally matched by her own dexterous workout on her autographed Teal Fender Stratocaster. Tonight, she took on more solos than usual, skillfully blowing through the notes at every interval. Like the rug in The Big Lebowski’s apartment, she tied the whole room together. Mark Rivers, Mike Mattison, Alecia Chakour & Brandon Boone When Tedeschi wasn’t singing the lead vocal, smokey-voiced Mike Mattison slid in for a verse or a full number, like “I Feel So Bad.” While he was massaging and plinking the ivories, Gabe Dixon also piped in on a few verses here and there. Add in singers Mark Rivers and Alecia Chakour, and you practically have a choir to complement every chorus. On the other side of the stage, the three-horn team of trombonist Elizabeth Lea, trumpeter Ephraim Owens, and especially saxophonist Kebbi Williams operated like a brassy underbelly with occasional bursts of outlandishness. That’s one way to keep you on your toes, and Williams’ incessant bouncing was no exception. Elizabeth Lea, Gabe Dixon. Ephraim Owens & Kebbi Williams Directly behind Tedeschi and Trucks, drummers Tyler Greenwell and Isaac Eady continually engaged in Allman Brothers Band and Grateful Dead-like syncopation, even during their solos. No twirling sticks or buzz rolls for these guys — it’s all about working off each other. After Chakour came out front and blew away the first 25 rows with her vocal prowess, there was no other choice but to bring Warren Haynes and Danny Louis into the fold. At once, you could see Haynes and Trucks huddled together, just like the old days. Only this time, they were the main attraction that everyone came to see. It’s likely everyone was expecting to hear an Allman Brothers song. Then again, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Gov’t Mule followers never know what to expect, and on that note, they were not disappointed. Certainly, no one ever thought they would take on an all-in version of Little Feat’s “Spanish Moon,” which slipped on as easily as an old Army jacket. Tedeschi, Lewis, Trucks, Haynes, bassist Brandon Boone, even Greenwell and Eady took their respective solos before the two former Allman Brothers Band colleagues faced off in a fiery exchange. After that, you may have thought you had died and gone to jam band heaven, but the best was yet to come. Tedeschi Trucks Band fans are well aware of the group’s affection for the music of Derek & The Dominos. After all, that’s when Duane Allman and Eric Clapton played together. So it was no surprise that the night came to a close with a rousing run through of Charles Segar’s “Key To The Highway,” which appears on Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs, the one and only studio album by Derek & The Dominos. Full house at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center Mattison, Tedeschi, and Haynes all chimed in on the verses before the two guitarists once again raised the temperature and played off each other to the delight of anyone and everyone within earshot. This is what the folks at SPAC wanted to see, and the payoff was like hitting the three-cherry jackpot in Las Vegas. All without paying taxes. Tonight, Gov’t Mule came on like a screaming locomotive, while Tedeschi Trucks Band rolled through like a freight train. Together, they gave the audience at SPAC a ride to remember. The Allman Brothers Band gave them their breaks; over 10 years later after their final bows in New York City, Gov’t Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band are keeping the music of the Allman Brothers Band alive and well. All while creating legacies of their own.

Van Morrison | What’s Wrong With This Picture? – Lost Gem

Van “The Man” Morrison hasn’t always been the full fledge classic rocker he once was, but his gift for turning a lyric inside out of a melody is refreshing in any language. Once perceived as an angry Irishman with an ax to grind, Morrison softened his blow in recent years, becoming a crooner of sorts, reeling off mid-tempo ballads and pop standards in quick succession, like a man on a mission. It sometimes seems as if these stylistic forays, lyrically wistful and wry, are done very tongue-in-cheek. Perhaps not. Mixing a little lighthearted humor within a R&B, jazz and rock framework is what makes What’s Wrong With This Picture?, Morrison’s Grammy-nominated 2003 debut for Blue Note, the jazz label, that much more auspicious. The brassy and sophisticated title track catches the singer literally cracking up at the beginning of the second verse. From there, it’s a virtual relay race of style and substance. “Whinin’ Boy Moan” is an old school blues number jazzed up and ready to swing, while “Evening In June” is a soulful samba that begs for a bottle of Courvoisier and a lady for your lair. Further down the road, Lightnin’ Hopkins’ “Stop Drinking” is an off and running rockabilly romp that packs a snarl evocative of Morrison’s days as the lead singer for Them. Whether it’s the classic lounge lizardry of “Somerset,” the New Orleans jazz of “Saint James Infirmary,” the innocent bounce of “Once In A Blue Moon,” or the self-analysis of “Goldfish Bowl” and “Get On With The Show,” Morrison rolls through every note with assuredness and panache, sounding as moved to tunefully howl as he did in the 1960s. What’s Wrong With This Picture? is just another example of why this Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has grown older with dignity and grace. Now that he’s in his 80s, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t continue to make significant music. ~ Shawn Perry Purchase What’s Wrong With This Picture?

David Lee Roth | September 6, 2025 | Fontainebleau | Las Vegas, NV – Photo Gallery

Story & Photos by Joe Schaeffer David Lee Roth brought his “Roth Show” to the 3,000-seat-plus BleauLive Theater in the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. The singer at 70 still maintains his master showmanship even though his vocal power has declined. His stage presence is supported by a highly skilled touring band and a new group of backing singers who handle heavy vocal duties. Tonight’s show focused exclusively on classic Van Halen hits. While providing his fans with an authentic and sometimes imperfect celebration, Roth proves that he can still command an audience with his charm, wit, and humor. The energetic frontman held all the “cards” and left the audience wanting to hear more. It was a great night reminiscing and celebrating the legacy of Roth’s era in Van Halen.
