Even when kids don’t realize it, teachers listen with their ears and their hearts. So many teachers dedicate their lives to education and helping us raise good kids. Some of them go so far above and beyond the call of duty that it makes you wonder if they are really angels in disguise. Stacy Caldwell is one of those teachers. Stacy noticed one of her students had a tremendous rhythm while playing on a bucket drum. Then, she learned there was more to this kid’s story than she realized. A video on YouTube explains that the boy loves to play the drums, but he lost his set in a house fire. His family didn’t have the ability to get him a new set, so he’d been settling for playing at church or at a music store. Stacy recognized his talent and wanted to help him cultivate what came so naturally. With the help of a few friends at school, she surprised the boy with a set of drums. The Boy Was Shocked When His Music Teacher Gifted Him A Set Of New Drums At first, he paced, saying “Oh my God” and “Thank You” before he grabbed her and hugged her. He was positively thrilled by the teacher’s act of kindness and got right down to business. The young boy pounded on the drums, letting his teacher know how thankful he was. The video made this person emotional. “Started crying as soon as she said ‘I realized you had a great talent,'” they wrote. “Some people will never know what it’s like to have no one believe in you and no support growing up. My hope is to give this opportunity to as many people as I can before leaving this earth.”   His gratitude was refreshing. “I love the fact that he gave her a hug instead of running to the drums and playing,” another person commented. “Shows his character and where his heart is. Best wishes, young man!” This person made an excellent point. “Ok…his reactions are the best.
