Washington Post Portrays Twitter-Hating Brazilian Judge as Disinformation Hero

Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes is enraged that X (which will forever still be known as Twitter) allows the free flow of information because he labels some of it &;quot;disinformation&;quot; which he cannot tolerate. Therefore de Moraes has demanded that Twitter remove a number of accounts. In the old obedient days of Twitter when the management treated &;quot;disinformation&;quot; (which is mostly information contrary to liberal views) to be one of the great sins of our world‚ they would have immediately acceded to the request. However  the new owner‚ Elon Musk‚ refused to take down the accounts which should make him a free speech hero. But in Friday's paper‚  but to the Washington Post found the real hero in this matter is the authoritarian Brazilian Supreme Court Justice. The Washington Post's no longer surprising support of censorship appeared on Thursday in &;quot;Having remade Twitter‚ Elon Musk takes his speech fight global&;quot; by the team of Elizabeth Dwoskin‚ Terrence McCoy and Marina Dias. On one side‚ there’s Alexandre de Moraes‚ one of the world’s most aggressive prosecutors of disinformation. In recent years‚ as right-wing Brazilian leader Jair Bolsonaro and his supporters questioned the integrity of Brazil’s elections‚ Moraes was granted expanded powers to fight false claims online. As head of the country’s top elections court‚ he has issued arrest warrants against dozens of figures and demanded that social media companies take down scores of accounts. Then there’s Musk‚ the combative tech billionaire who‚ since taking over Twitter‚ has loosened the platform’s restrictions on hateful content and allowed misinformation to flood the platform in the name of free speech. Their opposing worldviews exploded into public view this month‚ when Musk announced he would no longer countenance judicial orders from Moraes‚ who he said was breaking Brazilian law‚ and threatened to shutter the platform‚ now called X‚ in one of its most active markets. Moraes‚ in response‚ said he was adding Musk as a target in his ongoing criminal investigation into political groups accused of using false information to attack democracy. So guess who the Post castigates in this dispute&;#63; Since declaring his independence from Moraes’s orders‚ Musk has met with Argentine President Javier Milei at a Tesla factory in Texas‚ been invited to a live online appearance with Bolsonaro and said he will meet soon with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All are populists bolstered by online armies that have been accused of spreading disinformation. ...Musk’s politics form “a connective tissue between these far-right figures and movements‚” said Emerson Brooking‚ a disinformation researcher with the Digital Forensic Research Lab of the Atlantic Council. “He is globalizing America’s culture wars.” The Post failed to note that the leftwing Atlantic Council is a think tank funded by George Soros which hyped the idea for the Biden Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board. Ironic since by their rules‚ the failure to mention this could be considered... disinformation. See how that works&;#63; In stark contrast with their scary-music notes on Musk‚ the Post tone towards the censorship enforcing Brazilian justice is quite benign. Musk remains a target of Moraes’s investigation‚ according to a Supreme Court official‚ who spoke on the condition of anonymity under rules set by the court. That probe goes beyond X’s content moderation policies into whether Musk is part of an organized threat to the country’s democracy. ...For more than a year leading up to the 2022 election‚ a polarizing choice between Bolsonaro and leftist former president Luiz In&;aacute;cio Lula da Silva‚ Bolsonaristas pushed doubts about electronic voting systems in a strategy that mirrored Donald Trump’s unfounded accusations in 2020. Before the vote‚ Moraes sought an expanded interpretation of the election court’s authority to investigate‚ censor and prosecute people suspected of undermining public institutions. The Supreme Court granted him the power to order the immediate removal of problematic content — and fine or suspend companies that did not comply. Finally we have a member of the Soros-funded Atlantic Council whining about what he perceives as America‚ due largely to Musk‚ backing off a bit from censorship. The country‚ said Brooking of the Atlantic Council‚ could become an important cause for right-wing groups worldwide‚ including in the United States in an election year in which tech companies have largely retreated from policing misinformation.

Our galaxy's largest black hole has been discovered close to Earth: Report

The Debrief recently reported that scientists from the European Space Agency's Gaia mission have located a black hole with a mass of 33 solar masses‚ which makes it the largest black hole of stellar origin ever discovered in the Milky Way galaxy. The discovery‚ which was found after Gaia's fourth data release‚ could shed new light on the formation and prevalence of black holes throughout the known universe. The black hole‚ which has been named Gaia BH3‚ is part of a binary system located around 590 parsecs from Earth. The discovery is significant because of the black hole's mass and because it challenges current models of stellar evolution and the formation of black holes‚ according to the report.Black holes are mysterious regions in space where the gravitational pull is so strong that not even light can escape it. While they are not visible to the naked eye‚ they are usually identified by the high-energy radiation emitted when they interact with other stars or gas clouds. However‚ the Debrief noted that Gaia BH3 does not interact with its companion star‚ which makes it a &;quot;dormant&;quot; black hole. It is only detectable through the gravitational influence it has on its companion. Pasquale Panuzzo‚ a Gaia collaboration member‚ said: “No one was expecting to find a high-mass black hole lurking nearby‚ undetected so far.&;quot;“This is the kind of discovery you make once in your research life.”The Gaia satellite is specifically designed to map the positions of billions of stars with unmatched accuracy. The detection of the latest black hole was made by observing the tiny wobbles in the companion star's motion‚ caused the black hole's gravitational pull.On the Gaia website‚ it states its mission as the following:Gaia is creating an extraordinarily precise three-dimensional map of more than a thousand million stars throughout our Milky Way galaxy and beyond‚ mapping their motions‚ luminosity‚ temperature and composition. This huge stellar census will provide the data needed to tackle an enormous range of important questions related to the origin‚ structure and evolutionary history of our galaxy.Elisabetta Caffau‚ a members of the Gaia collaboration‚ said in a statement: “What strikes me is that the chemical composition of the companion is similar to what we find in old metal-poor stars in the galaxy.&;quot;“There is no evidence that this star was contaminated by the material flung out by the supernova explosion of the massive star that became BH3.” Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Tucker Carlson says UFOs are 'spiritual beings‚' politicians blackmailed by 'weird sex lives‚' tells Joe Rogan about eating magic mushrooms

Tucker Carlson gave a wide-ranging interview with Joe Rogan‚ where the pair discussed UFOs being &;quot;spiritual beings‚&;quot; politicians being blackmailed by intelligence agencies over their &;quot;weird sex lives‚&;quot; blasting Joe Scarborough‚ and partaking in too many magic mushrooms.During the most recent episode of &;quot; The Joe Rogan Experience‚&;quot; Tucker and Rogan touched on a myriad of topics. Tucker said of unidentified anomalous phenomena‚ &;quot; If they are spiritual beings – which I believe they are – it's binary‚ they're either team good or team bad. And I think some of them are bad.&;quot; Carlson also called the UAPs &;quot;supernatural&;quot; because they are &;quot;beyond nature of what we understand it.&;quot; He noted that the crafts had &;quot;no visible means of propulsion&;quot; and hit &;quot;indescribable speeds&;quot; in the air and the sea. &;quot; These are an advanced race of beings from somewhere else‚&;quot; Tucker said. &;quot; But the template that every other society before us has used is a spiritual one.&;quot;&;quot; There is a whole world that we can't see that acts on people‚ the supernatural world that's acting on us all the time for good and bad‚&;quot; the veteran broadcaster continued. &;quot;Every society has thought this before ours. In fact‚ every society in all recorded history has thought that until‚ I'll be specific – August 1945 – when we dropped the atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And all of a sudden the West is just officially secular – 'We're God‚ there is no god but us.'&;quot;Carlson said‚ We're being acted on by spiritual forces. At all times.&;quot;&;quot; And‚ in fact‚ that battle‚ that unseen battle around us that spiritual battle‚ has‚ like been the basis of every society of every religion‚ not just Christianity‚&;quot; he stated. Carlson questioned‚ &;quot; So like‚ it's just‚ once you discard your very‚ very recent assumptions‚ relatively speaking‚ about how the world works‚ you're like‚ well‚ that kind of seems like the obvious explanation right&;#63;&;quot;Carslon added‚ &;quot;I mean‚ the prophet Ezekiel writes about it in the first chapter: the wheels in the sky.&;quot; He said that these &;quot;spiritual phenomenons&;quot; are cited in every religion. Tucker theorized that the U.S. government may be aware of these unidentified anomalous phenomena‚ but they don't want the public to know that the military is unable to do anything against these vessels and can't protect the homeland because that could cause mass hysteria. Tucker said that Americans have been injured and killed by the UAPs‚ and cited Garry Nolan – the Rachford and Carlota A. Harris Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Nolan has published over 300 papers as an immunologist‚ but is also an expert in alleged encounters with UAPs that were fatal because of an unknown energy. &;quot;U.S. servicemen have died as a result of contact with or being in the proximity of these vehicles. And we know that because there’s a lot of suits working through the VA system‚” Carlson claimed. “Where families can’t get compensated for the death or injuries of loved ones.”Rogan asked if these UAPs were American military projects‚ Carlson dismissed the idea by saying &;quot;none of it is ours.&;quot; He declared that it is not foreign technology either‚ and said it &;quot;predates all of that.&;quot; When Tucker Carlson Changed His Mind on Aliens www.youtube.com Also during the three-hour interview‚ Carlson suggested that U.S. intelligence agencies have control over members of Congress.&;quot;Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I’m not guessing at that. They’ve told me that‚ including people who run the intel committee‚&;quot; Carlson proclaimed. Carlson said he was recently talking to a very powerful elected official in his kitchen who &;quot;holds a really senior position.&;quot;Carlson told inside source‚ &;quot; But I was like‚ 'All these people are controlled. They’ve all got weird sex lives‚ and all these things they’re hiding‚ and they’re being blackmailed by the intel agencies.’ And he said‚ and I’m quoting‚ ‘I know.’ I was like‚ okay‚ so at this point‚ we’re just sort of admitting that’s real&;#63; Like‚ why do we allow that to continue&;#63;&;quot;Carlson also slammed the premise that the United States is a democracy. &;quot; When they stand up and pass a $60 billion funding bill for Ukraine‚ when 70% of the population doesn’t want it‚ when they’re ignoring the actual problems in our country‚ like the economy and the border‚ and they’re hauling in Congress over the weekend to pass something that people don’t want while ignoring the things that people do want‚&;quot; Carslon declared. &;quot; And if they do the same kind of thing again and again for‚ like‚ 50 years‚ and they call it a democracy‚ that will drive you insane because it’s just too dishonest.&;quot; He continued‚ &;quot; Why not just say‚ ‘We don’t give a s**t what you want. We are getting something out of this Ukraine funding‚ whether it’s the thrill of being masters of the universe or whether it’s money from the defense contractors‚ whatever we’re getting out of it is more important to us than your opinion. This is not self-government. You don’t run this country. We do. Shut up and obey.'&;quot;&;quot; If they at least said that‚ you’d be like‚ ‘Okay‚ I get it. Those are the terms‚'&;quot; Carslon said. &;quot; But if I get another f***ing lecture from Joe Scarborough about ‘defending democracy’ when this is not a democracy‚ it’s not even a close approximation of a democracy‚ then I’m going to go crazy because I just can’t deal with the lying‚&;quot; Carslon proclaimed. On a lighter note‚ Rogan asked Carlson about being a fervent fan of the Grateful Dead. Tucker said he went to his first Grateful Dead concert in 1984 with his 13-year-old brother when he was 15.Carlson admitted that he &;quot;freaked out&;quot; in the middle of the show because he took psilocybin mushrooms.&;quot;Yeah‚ it was mushrooms‚ and we ate way too many‚&;quot; he confessed. &;quot; And we started to kind of melt down a little bit.&;quot; You can listen to the entire Tucker Carlson interview with Joe Rogan below.
