Blake Lively is not happy with a popular entertainment site that depicts her as David in her legal battle against director and actor Justin Baldoni, who is portrayed as Goliath. The pair starred together in the romantic drama “It Ends With Us” and have more recently been embattled in a back-and-forth which will culminate in a trial next spring. Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, retaliation, and attempting to “destroy” her reputation.  Baldoni fervently denied the claims, responding with a countersuit against his co-star and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. He also sued The New York Times for $250 million in a defamation claim for an article about the drama, which he says is “rife with inaccuracies, misrepresentations, and omissions.” Now, the actress has turned her ire towards a new target. But unlike in the Bible, her weapon is a smartphone and not a rock.   The article focuses on Baldoni’s Baha’i faith, a universalist religion founded in what’s now Iran in the mid-19th century. It discusses how his religious beliefs might have influenced their feud. “The Hollywood Reporter should be ashamed of itself,” a spokesperson for Lively told The Daily Mail on Friday. “The framing in this picture is outrageously insulting as it plays into every sexist trope about women who dare file a workplace complaint, turning them into the aggressor, and suggesting they deserve the retaliation that comes their way. In addition, the story is extremely offensive as it incredibly seems to explain away documented examples of sexual harassment and retaliation by calling them ‘cultural misunderstandings.’” The background of the entire image for the report includes Reynolds dressed as “Nicepool,” a character Baldoni claims was created with the express intention of bullying him. Several commenters on X noted that the David and Goliath depiction is backward since Lively is much more famous and influential than Baldoni, with some saying the only reason he stands a chance against her in court is due to him keeping a record of their exchanges and sharing them with the public.

Three Fresno State University college basketball players are at the center of a university and NCAA investigation into alleged sports gambling, including two players accused of betting on their own games. One player, Mykell Robinson, has been removed from the team, and two other players, Jalen Weaver and Zaon Collins, have been suspended over their potential ties to sports gambling, ABC 30 Action News reported. According to the report, Robinson and Weaver allegedly placed bets on their own team, including bets that the Bulldogs would underperform in total points and rebounds in one game. Collins, meanwhile, is being investigated for placing bets on professional sports. Fresno State, which is in the middle of its worst season in program history, will now lose two of its top three scorers — Weaver and Collins — for the foreseeable future, according to ESPN. Weaver is averaging 12.5 points per game this season, while Collins averages 12 points per game. Collins also leads the team with 4.7 assists per game. The Bulldogs moved to 5-23 on the season after their last loss to Air Force, which put them on a 10-game losing streak. The team’s head coach, Vance Walberg, reportedly discovered the alleged gambling by the student-athletes and notified the university’s administration. Robinson — who averaged 10.3 points per game — has not played since January 11, while Weaver and Collins were suspended just before the team tipped off against Air Force on Saturday. The Bulldogs, playing with only seven players, lost in overtime, 72-69. Just 30 minutes before the game started against Air Force, Fresno State announced that the two players were “being withheld from competition as the University reviews an eligibility matter.” “The University and Athletics Department will have no further comments regarding the matter at this time,” Fresno State added. Fresno State, currently part of the Mountain West Conference, announced last year that it would join the Pac-12 effective July 1, 2026.
