‘Keep Marching For Hamas‚ Kids’: Bill Maher Says Campus Protesters Just Don’t Get It

Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher laid into the anti-Israel protesters on college campuses like Columbia University — where students vandalized and took over a campus building on Tuesday — and said that as they keep “marching for Hamas‚” they also keep missing the point with regard to what they should be protesting. During a conversation with UFC president Dana White on his “Club Random” podcast‚ Maher noted that there were plenty of issues in the Middle East that might be far more worthy of protest than Israel. WATCH: “The Afghanistan culture — part of it — is we found out when we invaded and stayed there for 20 years. There are rich men who have‚ like‚ 10-year-old boys. That’s just a thing — like — you can get when you’re a rich guy; so keep marching for Hamas‚ kids. You really got your liberal eyes on the right prize here‚” he said. Maher went on to note that some of the protesters had even cheered on Iran when the world’s number one state sponsor of terror fired directly on Israel. “Now they’re cheering for Iran because they just fired all the missiles at Israel. So Iran is the good guys&;#63; You mean‚ the Ayatollah‚ the f***ing black-hearted‚ black-eyed‚ bomb-planting dude that we — captured our people&;#63;” Maher continued. Maher concluded by saying that the protesters were doing little to help Democrats – especially as the 2024 presidential election loomed closer — because they were likely to repel centrists CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP “I keep trying to tell the Left this every week. Like — the more you do crazy sh**‚ the more you push the people in the middle to the Right‚” Maher explained. Maher then asked White what his politics were when he was younger‚ and the UFC president said that he would have called himself “very liberal.” When asked whether he changed or the parties changed‚ White’s response was simple: “It’s a little bit of both … I’m for common sense.”

‘There Is No Room For Savages In Our Civilization’: Mosab Hassan Yousef‚ Son Of Hamas Leader

‘There Is No Room For Savages In Our Civilization’: Mosab Hassan Yousef‚ Son Of Hamas Leader

The following is a transcript excerpt from Dr. Jordan Peterson’s conversation with Mosab Hassan Yousef‚ a Palestinian ex-militant who defected to Israel in 1997 where he worked as an undercover agent for the Shin Bet until he moved to the United States in 2007. Yousef was considered the Shin Bet’s most reliable source in the Hamas leadership‚ earning himself the nickname “The Green Prince.” The intelligence he supplied to Israel led to the exposure of many Hamas cells‚ as well as the prevention of dozens of suicide bombings and assassination attempts on Jews. Yousef’s father is Sheikh Hassan Yousef‚ a co-founder of Hamas. (Wording has been kept as close as was spoken in the interview.) Start time: 50:26 Mosab Hassan Yousef: I personally am fighting for my very existence. I’m not an expert on the topic. They want me to cease to exist. Hence‚ my relationship and my understanding of Israel because Israel didn’t do anything wrong to the Arabs and to the Jews — except‚ you know‚ just being who they are. And they want them to cease to exist. This is how I feel‚ why I feel with Israel. There’s no difference. We are in the same situation‚ where I didn’t commit a crime against my people. I didn’t commit a crime against anyone. Even later on‚ when I collaborated with Israel in the intelligence service‚ my main goal was to just stop the madness‚ stop suicide bombers from targeting civilians indiscriminately. This was my goal. This was my moral compass. I didn’t do it because of a national motivation. But I still became a traitor. I say‚ “Why you label me as a traitor&;#63; Why you condemn me to death&;#63;” I say‚ “I did not only save Jewish life‚ I saved also Palestinian lives. I saved my father’s life and other Hamas leaders’ lives.” But even not for ten years‚ I don’t have blood on my hands. I did not take part of killing any human being throughout ten years of war and chaos and bloodshed‚ working around the clock to save people from their madness‚ trying to just juggle with the whole situation. I was very young‚ and I almost got killed so many times in the process — sitting in a room full of explosives with potential suicide bombers‚ 19-years-old‚ discussing who’s going to die first. That kind of situation. And I am trying‚ how can I stop this kid from killing so many other people&;#63; This is not about treason. It’s about pro life. This is what we were doing. Yet a society that praise suicide bombing attacks‚ praise death‚ because blinded with hatred towards the Jewish people — that‚ by the way‚ they don’t know nothing about the Jewish history. They don’t know nothing about the Jewish suffering. They are not willing to study about the Holocaust. Instead‚ they’re teaching people the wrong and the false narrative. And this is how they guarantee to stay in this victimhood for eternity. So basically‚ it’s so complicated‚ you know‚ in my matrix that I learned a lot about myself‚ and I fought the good fight. But right now‚ I reached the point that I don’t need to explain to anybody anything. There is a volcano inside me is about to erupt‚ and I don’t care what people are going to say‚ whether they’re going to say mad‚ crazy‚ out of control‚ they can say whatever they want. We have to eradicate Hamas. We have to finish Islamists. There is no room for savages in our civilization‚ and anyone who pose a threat against innocent civilians don’t have equal rights. It’s as simple as that. And all of the voices coming from the United States that say‚ “Hey‚ ‘Palestinians‚’ give the Palestinians equal rights.” I say‚ “No. First‚ I want to see equal responsibility. Show me equal responsibility. Then‚ we can discuss equal rights.” But you don’t compare savages to decent civilians or to decent civilized people who know the responsibility towards themselves and towards their neighbor. And compare‚ say‚ “Hey‚ Israel is democracy. Why you treat the Palestinians in such manner&;#63;” Well‚ there is no such a thing as Palestine to begin with‚ and the entire social structure need to be studied before we decide what Palestine is — because it’s not a nation. Just political‚ gangs‚ fighting against each other‚ finding Israel as a common enemy. And when Israel is not there‚ they will kill each other. I promise you. WATCH: The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast Jordan B. Peterson: So what happens to you at 13&;#63; Walk me through your life from 13 onward‚ to the point where you start working with the Israelis. Just walk me through that whole biography. Mosab Hassan Yousef: So‚ that was the first person in Intifada. But it looks like I developed so many disorders because of the traumas of childhood. And instead‚ a society that can understand a child and what’s going on‚ what they did‚ they beat me up. Everybody‚ from the Hamas leaders to my parents to the teachers at school to the principal to the other kids in the streets‚ everywhere I went. At some point‚ I got beaten up by a mob. In fact‚ in my life‚ I got beaten up by a mob multiple times to the point where I went unconscious. Jordan B. Peterson: And why were you a target of that sort of violence&;#63; Mosab Hassan Yousef: I was just troublemaker‚ and I am still a troublemaker. It’s one of my best qualities. So basically‚ they wanted me to behave accordingly‚ according to the religious laws and the cultural laws. But I didn’t know why I was behaving that way. I just wanted to rebel. There was lots of anger inside me‚ and there is still lots of anger. Jordan B. Peterson: So what were you doing that was causing trouble&;#63;  Mosab Hassan Yousef: I broke the rules; at the mosque‚ I played. I just was very playful kid. And they wanted me to just not do anything. If I ran in the mosque — once‚ the imam of the mosque lift me up above his head and throw me flat on my back‚ where I lost my breath. And in other occasion‚ I was whipped by a Hamas leader with the electric cable to the point that I lost consciousness. Jordan B. Peterson: How old were you&;#63; Mosab Hassan Yousef: Between 10 and 18-years-old‚ this is like where the brutality of the society took place. So if I was only a rape victim when I was very young‚ I would say‚ ok‚ you know‚ that was one event‚ but come on. Everybody was conspiring against me‚ and I still wonder why so many forces wanted me dead. And they still don’t have compassion to just look and say‚ it’s like‚ “Well‚ this guy went through a lot. Like‚ maybe‚ you know‚ whatever he’s saying‚ he has the right at least to express it.” But they want to strip me even the right to talk about it. So‚ it’s brutal culture. You know‚ when some say what happened October 7 was barbaric‚ it’s not only Hamas. There is a majority in the Gazan society that is complicit in this crime. In fact‚ for those who watched the footage of the October 7 crimes‚ it was not only Hamas that committed the crime. Most of the crimes‚ especially raping and kidnaping‚ were committed by Gazan civilians. And I know now‚ this is considered‚ or somebody can discredit me because I’m generalizing‚ but I say the vast majority of that society don’t have mercy when it comes to children‚ and no woman can walk freely and feel safe at midnight anywhere in the Palestinian territories. This is why a father is willing to kill his daughter if she would leave the house without a companion. Because if she leaves the house without companion‚ there is a big chance that she is going to be raped on the streets. And why are you taking such a risk&;#63; They would beat them up if they leave the house alone. So‚ it’s a troubled society. It’s a death culture. And I don’t mean to label them as savages‚ and I don’t want to say this because it’s so hard. It’s my biological family‚ this is where I came from. And I love the people. I want the people to integrate‚ but they want me dead still. And as long as they are not able to make peace with their own child‚ I don’t know how they can make peace with other nations‚ with other people‚ with others. * * * Listen to or watch the full interview with Dr. Jordan Peterson on DailyWire+. Study Finds That Renting Is Cheaper Than Buying A Home In All 50 Of America’s Largest Metro Areas

Renting has become more affordable than buying a home in 50 of the largest metro areas in the United States‚ a recent study reveals. The analysis‚ performed by Bankrate‚ found that it costs about 37 percent more a month to buy a home than to rent nationwide. The cost disparity is largely a product of rising home prices‚ increased mortgage rates‚ and a slowdown in rent hikes‚ the study noted. The average monthly rent payment is $1‚979 while the average monthly payment on a $412‚778 home‚ the median price‚ is just over $2‚703. The average monthly mortgage rate‚ meanwhile‚ is 7.33 percent as of April 17th‚ 2024‚ a three percent increase since March 2022. While the trend is persistent across the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the United States‚ the disparity between the costs of renting and buying a home vary wildly depending on location. The analysis uses the buy-to-rent ratio‚ which compares “typical monthly mortgage payments to typical monthly rent payments.” The disparity is most drastic in California’s Bay Area‚ with a buy-to-rent ratio of over 180 percent in San Francisco‚ Oakland‚ and Berkeley and a 162 percent ratio in San Jose‚ Sunnyvale‚ and Santa Clara. The analysis found that Seattle‚ Tacoma‚ and Bellevue in Washington had a ratio of 125 percent while Salt Lake City‚ Utah and Austin‚ Round Rock‚ and Georgetown‚ Texas had ratios in the 80’s. The buy-to-rent ratio was the least severe in Detroit‚ Michigan at only 2 percent‚ followed by 5.2 percent in Pittsburgh‚ Pennsylvania and just under 9 percent in the metro area including Philadelphia. Cleveland‚ Ohio’s ratio was found to be 11.6 percent‚ while Buffalo‚ New York was just over 20 percent. While the costs of buying a home are increasing‚ a wide majority of Americans still say that they want to own a home‚ with a recent report finding that 78 percent of people say that owning a home is part of the American dream. Among those who have not purchased a home‚ 56 percent say that they lack the income to do so‚ while 47 percent say that home prices are too high and 42 percent cite their inability to afford the down payment and closing costs.

Netanyahu Rips The ICC: Targeting Israel For Fighting ‘Genocidal Terrorists’ While Giving Iran A Pass

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the International Criminal Court (ICC) this week for targeting his country for its war against terrorists while the court has given a free pass to the country ultimately behind the terrorists‚ the Islamic Republic of Iran. The statement from Netanyahu comes amid reports that the court‚ based in The Hague‚ is preparing arrest warrants for top Israeli officials over its war against Hamas‚ an Islamic terrorist group backed by Iran that murdered 1‚200 people in Israel on October 7. “International bodies like the ICC arose in the wake of the Holocaust committed against the Jewish people. They were set up to prevent such horrors‚ to prevent future genocides‚” Netanyahu said. “Yet now the International Court is trying to put Israel in the dock. It’s trying to put us in the dock as we defend ourselves against genocidal terrorists and regimes‚ Iran of course‚ that openly works to destroy the one and only Jewish state.” “Branding Israel’s leaders and soldiers as war criminals will pour jet fuel on the fires of antisemitism‚ those fires that are already raging on the campuses of America and across capitals around the world‚” he continued. “It will also be the first time that a democratic country fighting for its life according to the rules of war is itself accused of war crimes.” The ICC is not recognized by many countries‚ including the United States‚ Russia‚ China‚ India‚ and many more. A Biden administration official told Axios: “As we have publicly said many times‚ the ICC has no jurisdiction in this situation and we do not support its investigation.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Netanyahu said that if the ICC targets Israel‚ it would be “targeting all democracies because it would be undermining their inherent right to defend themselves against savage terrorism and wanton aggression.” “Clearly‚ this threat by the ICC is not an attempt to enforce the law‚” he said. “Israel is not even subject to the court’s jurisdiction and it has an independent legal system that rigorously investigates all violations of the law. Rather‚ this ICC attempt is an attempt to paralyze Israel’s very ability to defend itself.” He said that Israel and its citizens reject the ICC‚ which they now view as a “grave threat to our very existence.” “And I want to assure you‚ no ICC action will impact Israel’s iron clad determination to achieve the goals of our war with Hamas terrorists: We will destroy Hamas’s military and governing capabilities in Gaza‚ we will release all our hostages‚ and we will ensure that Gaza never poses a threat to Israel again‚” he continued. Dozens Arrested After Police Break Up Anti-Israel Occupation On Cal Poly Humboldt Campus

Police arrested dozens of people early Tuesday at California State Polytechnic University‚ Humboldt‚ ending a weeklong student protest against Israel. Officers took 25 individuals into custody who had taken over Siemens Hall‚ where the president’s office is located‚ and another nearby building‚ Nelson Hall East‚ according to The New York Times. The law enforcement action came after days of administrators bargaining with protesters and rioters and a complete shutdown of the university’s campus. “What was occurring was not free expression or a protest‚” the university said in a statement‚ according to the Times. “It was criminal activity‚ and there were serious concerns it would spread even further on campus.” The arrested individuals are facing a range of charges including unlawful assembly‚ vandalism‚ assault of police‚ and other counts. The university campus will remain shut down through May 10. Rioters occupied Siemens Hall on April 22 and held the building‚ resisting police and administration efforts to remove them‚ until police officers moved on the rioters early Tuesday morning. The occupiers had renamed the hall “Intifada Hall” and made a number of demands including that the university disclose investments in companies with ties to Israel‚ cut ties with Israeli universities‚ and drop charges against three students arrested last week. After arrests were made and the occupiers cleared out of the buildings‚ video of the inside of Nelson Hall East showed graffiti throughout the building with messages such as “Land Back Now‚” “Death 2 America‚” and “Intifada Forever.” Building Occupied by Pro-Palestine Protesters at Cal Poly Humboldt Inside look at occupied Nelson Hall East prior to police clearing the building today‚ with writing including “FREE GAZA”‚ “LAND BACK NOW” and “DEATH 2 AMERICA” inside the building on campus pic.twitter.com/OYSjvXYggd — Brendan Gutenschwager (@BGOnTheScene) April 30‚ 2024 Other video that surfaced on social media captured one of the arrests. The university said protesters have “attempted several times to break into multiple locked buildings with the intention of either locking themselves in‚ vandalizing‚ or stealing equipment.” The protests shut down Cal Poly Humboldt as similar unrest continues to rock the prestigious Columbia University on the other side of the country. Protesters at Columbia barricaded themselves inside a university building on Tuesday morning in a similar fashion to those at Cal Poly Humboldt.

House GOP Unveils Chamber-Wide Crackdown On Campus Anti-Semitism

Top House Republicans announced on Tuesday a chamber-wide endeavor to combat anti-Semitism on university campuses as pro-Palestinian protests sweep across colleges around the nation in response to the Israel-Hamas war. A release from the office of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said the effort will involve scrutinizing federal funding and tax benefits universities receive‚ as well as cracking down on foreign student visa recipients perpetuating sympathy to terrorist groups at U.S. schools. “Antisemitism is a virus and because the administration and woke university presidents aren’t stepping in‚ we’re seeing it spread‚” Johnson said at a press conference. “We must act‚ and House Republicans will speak to this fateful moment with moral clarity.” Johnson was joined by other House GOP leaders‚ as well as chairs whose committees will be tasked with spearheading different facets of the project billed as one meant to hold universities accountable for not protecting Jewish students. “College is not a park for play acting juveniles or a battleground for radical activists. Everyone affiliated with these universities will receive a healthy dose of reality. Actions have consequences‚” said Education and the Workforce Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC). Other committee leaders who stood with Johnson included Space and Technology Chairman Frank Lucas (R-OK)‚ Energy and Commerce Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)‚ Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH)‚ Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO)‚ and Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY). CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP The GOP-led House is already considering legislation to settle on a definition of anti-Semitism that could facilitate withholding funds for schools found to be in violation of federal anti-discrimination law. After the bill advanced out of the Rules Committee on Monday night‚ it may get a House floor vote as early as Wednesday. While some Democrats have joined Republicans in demanding colleges get a grip on the protests‚ where protesters have made demands such as divesting from Israel‚ members of the leftist wing of the party have been more sympathetic to the activists. “The provocative images painted by Republicans and antisemitic white supremacist platforms could not be further from the truth‚” Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) claimed in a statement reported by Axios.
