‘Packed With Patriots’: George Stephanopoulos Praises ‘the Deep State’

Appearing on Tuesday’s edition of The View to hawk his new book The Situation Room: The Inside Story of Presidents in Crisis, ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos not only admitted to the existence of the Deep State, but he also praised them as “packed with patriots.” He went on to push a conspiracy theory against President Ronald Reagan which was debunked long ago by a congressional commission. The former lackey to President Bill Clinton was teed up to praise the Deep State by faux-conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin. She gushed about how the Deep State were the ones who make the history of America: “My favorite thing is that you interviewed Situation Room staff. I’ve always said that it's White House staff whose names you'll never know that are the writers of history. They’ll tell us so many details.” Stephanopoulos went on to lionize the unelected, busybody bureaucrats who often injected themselves into matters of the nation to influence and control what happened in the country: You know, that was my favorite part about doing the book. I interviewed about a hundred duty officers from the White House – and these are people that come – relatively young people who come from all over the government: the CIA, the DIA, Defense Department, military. And, you know, some people like to call those people the Deep State. He went on to declare “that the Deep State is packed with patriots” who supposedly “don't care about political parties” and were only “there to serve the presidency and institution” and not a particular president. Quoting one member of the Deep State he spoke to, Stephanopoulos claimed they “serve in silence.” Meanwhile, he put a name to the quote: Mike Seelie. So much for being silent. In the second block of the interview, Stephanopoulos and moderator Whoopi Goldberg pushed a conspiracy theory against Reagan he tried to revive in his book. Falsely claiming “there’s no question about it,” Stephanopoulos asserted – without evidence – that Reagan had worked with Iranian extremists to prolong the Iranian Hostage Crisis to help him win the election against President Jimmy Carter: The Iranians decided to hold the hostages until after -- they waited until the moment that Ronald Reagan took the oath of office. You know, one of the things we also learned in the last year was there have always been questions about whether or not somehow the Reagan campaign had tried to influence the Iranians to hold; and the congressional commission said no, but last year it did turn out that John Connelly had gone to the Middle East and had meetings about it that at least suggested that something might have happened. Even Stephanopoulos admitted that a congressional commission debunked what he was peddling; and yet, the ABC “journalist” was still pushing the lies anyway so that he could sell his book and make money. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s The View May 14, 2024 11:19:58 a.m. Eastern (…) ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: I also love – The book is so good! My favorite thing is that you interviewed Situation Room staff. I’ve always said that it's White House staff whose names you'll never know that are the writers of history. They’ll tell us so many details. GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: You know, that was my favorite part about doing the book. I interviewed about a hundred duty officers from the White House – and these are people that come – relatively young people who come from all over the government: the CIA, the DIA, Defense Department, military. And, you know, some people like to call those people the Deep State. WHOOPI GOLDBERG: The Deep State. STEPHANOPOULOS: Well, the big thing I learned doing this book is that the Deep State is packed with patriots. FARAH GRIFFIN: Yes. STEPHANOPOULOS: People who go to work every single day on the front lines of the most intense crises the country faces and go it to serve their country and serve the presidency, not the president. They don't care about political parties. They're there to serve the presidency and institution. SUNNY HOSTIN: And they're doing it anonymously. FARAH GRIFFIN: Exactly. STEPHANOPOULOS: Absolutely. As one of them told me, Mike Seelie said, “we serve in silence.” (…) 11:28:42 a.m. Eastern GOLDBERG: George, one of the things that I learned in the book was that Jimmy Carter initially thought that, you know, he was going and he had nothing to do with bringing the folks home, but in your book -- STEPHANOPOULOS: The hostage crisis. GOLDBERG: You talk about the fact that he did find out the hostage crisis maybe went on a little longer to -- for him to get out of office so Reagan could take the—the – the glory. STEPHANOPOULOS: There’s no question about it. The Iranians decided to hold the hostages until after -- they waited until the moment that Ronald Reagan took the oath of office. 'Tragic injustice': Clinton-appointed judge sentences pro-life rescuer to nearly 5 years in jail over peaceful protest

A Clinton-appointed judge has sentenced pro-life activist Lauren Handy to four years and nine months in prison plus three years' supervision for peacefully speaking out in support of the lives lost and threatened at an infamous late-term abortion clinic in the nation's capital. U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly's heavy-handed sentence in Handy's case, which was just one year shy of what Biden's admittedly pro-abortion Department of Justice advocated for, has been blasted by Republicans and other pro-life activists. 'Meanwhile, abortionists who dismember and kill children walk free. A grave injustice!' The Thomas More Society, which defended Handy in the case, has indicated it will proceed with an appeal on behalf of Handy, not only to overturn her conviction but to challenge the constitutionality of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, under which she was convicted in August. Other pro-life rescuers who took part in the peaceful 2020 protest appear to also be headed to prison, including John Hinshaw, who was sentenced Tuesday to 21 months in prison. Background Handy, 30, is the director of activism and mutual aid for Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising. According to its website, PAAU is "committed to the progressive feminist values of equality, non-violence, and nondiscrimination through an anti-capitalist lens. ... We're committed to unparalleled bravery and to always challenging the oppressive status quo. We're committed to ending elective abortion to matter how long it takes." Blaze News previously reported that Handy and four other PAAU activists — John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, William Goodman, and Herb Geraghty — were convicted of FACE Act violations last year for supposedly blocking access on Oct. 22, 2020, to the Washington Surgi-Clinic, operated by the late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo. The FACE Act prohibits anyone from obstructing the entrance to an abortion clinic or intimidating or interfering with a woman attempting to have her unborn baby exterminated. The Biden DOJ claimed that Handy partook in a "clinic blockade that was directed by Handy and was broadcast on Facebook. The defendants conspired to and did forcefully enter the clinic and block access to the clinic using their bodies, furniture, chains and ropes. Once the blockade was established, footage of the activities was live-streamed." Legal analysts at the Heritage Foundation noted that "Congress specified that the FACE Act doesn't 'prohibit any expressive conduct (including peaceful picketing or other peaceful demonstration) protected from legal prohibitions by the First Amendment to the Constitution,' including the 'free speech or free exercise clauses,' occurring 'outside a facility.'" Handy's defense also characterized the incident as a "rescue and protest," noting that she was under the distinct impression, in part due to an undercover video published by Live Action, that Santangelo was not just executing live-birth abortions but leaving born-alive infants to die. Kollar-Kotelly ultimately barred the defendants from claiming their protest was protected by the First Amendment as well as from claiming they had protested in defense of a third person, stating "a defendant may not don a vigilante's hood." The Clinton judge, who made sure to chastise a nun in the public gallery for daring to make the sign of the cross, also prevented the defense from showing the undercover 2012 footage that prompted Handy to want to intervene for fear of prejudicing the jury. Handy, convicted of a FACE Act violation as well as of conspiracy against rights, sat in prison for nine months until her sentencing. Sentencing The Biden DOJ asked Kollar-Kotelly to give Handy 6.5 years, claiming she was among the "masterminds who chose the clinic, advertised the event, recruited participants, and planned the crime," reported the Washington Examiner. Handy's defense alternatively asked for a one-year sentence, emphasizing the peaceful nature of the event that entailed an "attempt to rescue preborn children from imminent death at the hands of an abortionist who Ms. Handy believed performed illegal late-term procedures." The Clinton judge reportedly expressed concern that Handy's protest hindered multiple prospective patients from speedily entering the clinic, including a woman experiencing labor pains. "Your views took precedence over, frankly, their human needs," said Kollar-Kotelly, apparently discounting the human needs ignored deeper within the clinic. Prosecutors apparently also won the judge over with the claim that the protest was not peaceful, as a clinic nurse allegedly sprained her ankle when one of Handy's co-defendants entered the clinic, reported the New York Post. Kollar-Kelly claimed Handy was not being punished for her pro-life beliefs but rather her actions, stating, "The law does not protect violent nor obstructive conduct, nor should it." Response The outcome incensed Republicans, women's organizations, and pro-life activists, who ostensibly agreed that the FACE Act has outstayed its welcome, especially after having been weaponized against pro-life activists by the Biden DOJ. Live Action president Lila Rose noted Handy "has just been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for handing roses and resources to women at an abortion facility[.] Meanwhile, abortionists who dismember and kill children walk free. A grave injustice!" Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) said in a statement obtained by Blaze News, "Today's outrageous 57-month sentence for a progressive pro-life activist is a stark reminder: Biden's DOJ is fully weaponized against pro-life American citizens, and they are using the FACE Act to do it." Roy stressed that "House Republicans should defund the DOJ weaponization, repeal the FACE Act, and stand up for the freedoms that we campaign on." 'Ms. Handy deserves thanks, not a gut-wrenching prison sentence.' "This sentencing of @PAAUNOW's Lauren Hardy is a tragic injustice," said Penny Nance, CEO of the Concerned Women for America. "In policy and practice, the FACE Act is an unjust law that must be repealed. It is an unconstitutional breach of the states' police power, and the Biden Administration has used it to attack political opponents most blatantly." “This sentencing of @PAAUNOW's Lauren Hardy is a tragic injustice,” said Penny Nance, CEO of CWA. “In policy and practice, the FACE Act is an unjust law that must be repealed. It is an unconstitutional breach of the states’ police power, and the Biden Administration has used it… — (@) Martin Cannon, senior counsel at the Thomas More Society, said in a statement, "There was only one thing around which Ms. Handy and her co-defendants were unified, and that was nonviolence. They conspired to be peaceful." "For her efforts to peacefully protect the lives of innocent preborn human beings, Ms. Handy deserves thanks, not a gut-wrenching prison sentence," continued Cannon. "We will vigorously pursue an appeal of Ms. Handy's conviction and attack the root cause of this injustice, that is, the FACE Act — which we believe is unconstitutional and should never again be used to persecute peaceful pro-lifers." Steve Crampton, senior counsel at the Thomas More Society, added, "The remains of several later-term aborted babies discovered by Ms. Handy and her associates, known as the 'D.C. Five,' have underscored the truth of Ms. Handy's concerns that abortionist Cesare Santangelo has more likely than not been violating the Born Alive Infants Protection Act by reportedly refusing to provide life-saving care to infants born alive as a result of an attempted abortion." NFL legend Lawrence Taylor SACKS Biden and Democrats, endorses Trump

NFL legend Lawrence Taylor took a day off retirement when he sacked Biden and the Democratic Party at a Trump campaign event in Jersey this past weekend. The former Giants star joined Trump at the massive rally and pledged his loyalty to the former president. “I just wanted to say I grew up a Democrat and I've always been a Democrat until I met this man right here," Taylor told Trump supporters on Saturday. “He will not have to worry, nobody in my family ever voting for a Democrat again.” Taylor was joined on stage by his former teammate, retired running back Ottis Anderson. “Don't you just love that guy?” Anderson asked, referring to Trump. “Don't you just love that guy? I tell you it has been a very exciting day. You guys, not one person left here. You're still here yelling and screaming.” Jason Whitlock thinks this is a great sign for Trump’s campaign. “This is significant, far more significant than any rapper endorsing Trump. And I say that because LT is revered in football circles, and basically him publicly jumping on board with LT gives permission for every other NFL player and football player to say what they really think,” Whitlock says. “All this woke posturing and pretending like they hate Donald Trump. I’ve said it for years, any NFL player that I’ve known, any football player I know — if Joe Biden and Donald Trump said, ‘Hey man, let’s go out and have a drink’ — every football player I know would be like, ‘Yeah, Donald, where we meeting?’” he says. “They would stay the hell away from Joe Biden.” Want more from Jason Whitlock? To enjoy more fearless conversations at the crossroads of culture, faith, sports, and comedy with Jason Whitlock, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Illegal alien attempts to infiltrate military base: Report

An illegal alien recently attempted to gain unauthorized entry into a Virginia military base, according to a report from Kelly Sienkowski with the Potomac Local News. The news outlet reported that two males posing as Amazon delivery drivers tried to gain access to Quantico Marine Corps Base near Triangle, Virginia. On May 3, the men drove a box truck up to the base’s main gate. They told the guards that they worked for Amazon and were attempting to fulfill a delivery to the base’s post office. After they failed to provide access credentials, local law enforcement instructed the men to wait in a holding area so that they could conduct a secondary inspection.'Have U.S. investigators ruled out a terrorism motive?'Captain Michael Curtis told Potomac Local News, “One of the military police officers noticed the driver, ignoring the direct instructions of the officers, continued to move the vehicle past the holding area and attempted to access … Quantico.”The officers acted quickly to initiate the vehicle denial barriers, which blocked the truck from proceeding farther onto the base.Curtis told the news outlet that the two males were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody. He noted that no one was injured as a result of the incident. Several sources revealed to Potomac Local News that one of the men was a Jordanian national who had recently entered the country through the southern border. One of the truck's occupants was reportedly on the U.S. terrorist watch list, according to the sources. However, the military base was unable to confirm the sources’ information. The sources further claimed that the base had increased its security measures since the incident and warned personnel to be on high alert, the news outlet reported. The Marines cited the individuals for trespassing, according to Todd Bensman, a senior national fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies. Bensman wrote in a New York Post column regarding the incident, “Did illegal border crossers from the Middle East just try to attack a U.S. military base? Many more questions deserve answers too. But the federal government has gone mum.”“Have U.S. investigators ruled out a terrorism motive? Do U.S. counterterrorism agencies even want to know, and is anyone even investigating that question?” Bensman continued. “Were there any weapons in the truck or on the illegal immigrants it carried? Was the truck itself the weapon? When and how exactly did the men enter the United States?”Sienkowski told Bensman that no one would reveal any additional information about the incident. “We have reached out to almost every elected official, and many running for office,” Sienkowski stated.“What really blows my mind is that no other media has followed up on the story after a whole week has passed,” Sienkowski added. “We need more transparency in how our border problems are impacting national security through localized incidents like this one.”In response to the report, Senator Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) wrote on X, “Our greatest national security threat is the border crisis unleashed by [President Joe Biden]. Latest warning is this report of a Jordanian, who crossed the border, is on the terrorist watch list & tried to evade security & enter Marine Corps Base Quantico. Concerning if true.”Like Blaze News? America is at 'PEAK wokeness'; pendulum is ALREADY swinging back

Woke progressivism has taken over far too much of America, from our schools to our medical establishment, as well as our government. Common sense would solve this, but unfortunately, common sense is not all that common. However, Glenn Beck has yet to give up hope. “Are you concerned that the balance is not something we’re finding right now?” Stu Burguiere asks Glenn. “No, because I think it’s coming,” Glenn says. “Until the medical community says, ‘You know what, enough is enough. This COVID thing, it was good here, here, and here. It was really bad here, here and here, and we got to stop just saying that 'oh, now science knows.’”“That’s happened throughout all of mankind, and then science learns and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, now we know,’” he says adding, “it’s already happening.” “It’s just that there’s so much money involved at the establishment level and they’re just holding on by their fingernails and they’ll pull all of us down to stop from drowning themselves,” he continues. While the establishment is holding on for dear life, more and more people are waking up to just how ridiculous America has gotten. “We are at the wire. We are coming around the fourth turn,” Glenn says, adding, “I think we are at peak wokeness.” “We hit the peak, and then it starts going the opposite way.” Want more from Glenn Beck? To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Utah mom left 'disabled' after COVID-19 vaccine trial launches first US lawsuit against AstraZeneca

Prior to the pandemic, Brianne Dressen of Salt Lake City was living the active life she always wanted. She went rock climbing with her husband, a chemist for the U.S. Army; ferried her two children to and from soccer games and piano practices; and taught preschool. Everything came to a screeching halt in November 2020 — not as a result of the union-driven school closures, the lockdowns, or the outcome of the election, but with her participation in an AstraZeneca vaccine trial. "I walked into the clinic fine, and walked out the beginning of a nightmare I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy." The experimental vaccine allegedly left the 42-year-old Utah mother with a debilitating injury. Dressen cannot bring a product liability action against the company on account of the federal Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act. She can, however, possibly ding the British-Swedish pharmaceutical giant for breach of contract, which is exactly what she aims to do. Dressen filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah Monday alleging that she developed a debilitating neurological condition as a result of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and that the British-Swedish pharmaceutical giant failed to cover the cost of her medical care as promised. When presented with Dressen's complaint, Daniel Horowitz, the host of "Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz" on the Blaze Podcast Network and author of "Rise of the Fourth Reich: Confronting COVID Fascism with a New Nuremberg Trial So This Never Happens Again," told Blaze News, "It is shocking how we now have thousands of academic and case studies of injuries affecting every organ system, yet victims remain alone with little legal recourse for compensation." "We have VAERS, V-Safe, documents from the vaccine manufacturers, and European Medicines Agency reporting, all showing catastrophic levels of injury, yet there is no critical mass of a political movement in any country at this point to repeal unbridled indemnity of these criminal enterprises," continued Horowitz. "It's also peculiar how AstraZeneca was taken off the market, but the mRNA shots, which are even worse, remain funded and promoted by government." Background The Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine was a viral-vector vaccine developed in collaboration with Oxford University and produced for various companies by the Serum Institute of India. While 32,000 Americans like Dressen participated in vaccine trials in the homeland and the Biden administration agreed to share up to 60 million doses with other nations, the AstraZeneca vaccine was never rolled out in the United States. It was, however, administered billions of times worldwide. It quickly became clear that the vaccine was not as "safe and effective" as health authorities throughout the Anglosphere had guaranteed. After all, there were numerous reports of otherwise healthy recipients experiencing abnormal bleeding, low blood platelets, blood clots, and even dying. German and Nordic researchers determined that some recipients were developing a clotting disorder called "vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia," which produced antibodies that activated platelets and led to clots. Despite a growing number of likely victims, AstraZeneca suggested there was "no evidence of an increased risk of pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or thrombocytopenia, in any defined age group, gender, batch or in any particular country." The company's claims have aged like milk. Last year, Jamie Scott, a father of two left with a permanent clot-related brain injury, filed suit against the company. His complaint was followed by dozens more and ultimately a class-action lawsuit. Several months after Scott sued AstraZeneca, the company admitted in a February court document that "it is admitted that the AZ vaccine can, in very rare cases, cause [thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome]. The causal mechanism is not known." The following month, the company withdrew its "marketing authorization" in the European Union. That application went into effect last week. The Telegraph reported that AstraZeneca is expected to remove the vaccine from all other markets where it was approved. 'Hollowed out' Dressen's lawsuit, reportedly the first to be launched stateside against AstraZeneca, claims the company offered various written promises to participants in its vaccine trial, including financial reimbursement for each completed visit to the test clinic for various procedures; financial reimbursement for each completed phone call linked to the study; and compensation for study-related injuries. "At the moment the substance entered Bri's blood, a solemn contract had been formed." "Defendants defined 'research injuries' as '[i]njuries that have been caused by the vaccine, tests or procedures,'" said the lawsuit. "Defendants promised that 'Sponsor will pay the costs of medical treatment for research injuries, provided that the costs are reasonable, and you did not cause the injury yourself.'" "At the moment the substance entered Bri's blood, a solemn contract had been formed," said the complaint. "Her performance was complete and Defendants' promises were irrevocable." When things went south, the lawsuit claims the company effectively left Dressen hanging. "I was a completely hollowed out version of who I once was." Within an hour of receiving the shot, Dressen claims she experienced tingling in her arm. The paraesthesia apparently was not temporary or localized. It soon spread to her other arm. "That evening other progressively worrying symptoms emerged: blurred vision, double vision, headache, sound sensitivity, a loud ringing in the ears (tinnitus), nausea, vomiting, fever, and chills," said the lawsuit. In the weeks that followed, a prickling sensation reportedly spread to Dressen's legs. She indicated she lost 20 pounds from constant vomiting while this and her other symptoms worsened. "I walked in to the clinic fine, and walked out the beginning of a nightmare I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy," recalled Dressen. "My little girl's voice was too painful for my ears. My little boy's hand was too painful for touch. There was no break, no reprieve, no escape. No answers, no help, only questions, and fear of what was overtaking my body more and more each day as new symptoms piled on." "I was a completely hollowed out version of who I once was," added Dressen. In June 2021, a team of neurologists from the National Institute of Health reportedly diagnosed Dressen as having "Post Vaccine Neuropathy." According to the lawsuit, Dressen is still "disabled" three years later; "a shadow of her former self: unable to work, unable to do any athletic activity, unable to parent the way she had, and unable to drive more than a few blocks at a time." Dressen told the Telegraph that the worse part is that her children, now aged nine and 11, can't remember the kind of person their mother was before the injury. "It really sucks. The worse part, the biggest punishment of all of this, is the impact on my kids," said Dressen. Painful and costly Dressen's lawsuit claims that AstraZeneca ignored multiple requests for support until finally coughing up a meager $1,243.30, "a minuscule fraction of the medical bills and lost wages, among other financial costs, that Bri had incurred and will continue to incur." After all, Dressen's biweekly medication supposedly ran her $3,500 per session. One of her current medications would cost her over $430,000 a year. With the help of insurance, she is presently paying roughly $119,000. "The way we have been and continue to be treated is simply appalling." In order to access the $1,243.30, Dressen would have to release AstraZeneca of further responsibility for her care. "The way we have been and continue to be treated is simply appalling," Brian Dressen, the plaintiff's husband, is quoted as saying in the complaint. The Telegraph reported that Utah law enables complainants who sue for breach of contract to claim for damages and costs resulting from the alleged breach. While Dressen is not suing for a specific amount, she could possibly have AstraZeneca on the hook, not only for her legal and medical bills, but for additional damages — including for lost income and emotional distress. A spokeswoman for the company told the Telegraph that AstraZeneca would not comment on ongoing litigation. She did, however, say, "Patient safety is our highest priority. From the body of evidence in clinical trials and real-world data, the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine has continuously been shown to have an acceptable safety profile and regulators around the world consistently state that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks of extremely rare potential side effects." Black ex-Marine allegedly threatened to gun down white people like a 'serial killer': 'NEVER understand my struggles'

A black former Marine remains in a New Jersey jail on a federal charge after he repeatedly threatened to kill white people en masse, the Department of Justice says.'This is why people like me shoot people.'From December 2022 until at least May 2023, 23-year-old Joshua Cobb of Trenton, New Jersey, repeatedly sent text messages and posted social media messages that threatened to harm white people, a DOJ press release indicated. The press release shared several messages reportedly written by Cobb that reveal a strong hatred for humanity in general and white people in particular. The following are just some of the messages attributed to Cobb: "I want to cause mayhem on the white community. The reason I specifically want to target white people is because as a black male, they will NEVER understand my struggles. Same way I will never understand their struggles, but I don’t care to. I want to erase them. All of them really, but in this case as many as I possibly can. As of today I have officially began planning my attack. ... I have not chosen a exact date but I am going to be sure it is close to an important holiday to their race.""Tbh I hope I do progress into a serial killer because I f***ing hate life man. ... But one day everyone will suffer. I promise I will make everyone feel my f***ing pain. My deep, sincere, raw, & sharp pain.""It’s all a f***ing game and you all are going to die. I currently lack the means necessary to kill as many as I intend to but one day I will have the available resources (finance) to purchase the appropriate weaponry for my killing(s).""I’m just leaving evidence for whoever investigates my case."Some of those messages were allegedly sent via text. Others were allegedly shared on social media under the username 1dayUsuffer. No such account currently exists on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or X.In speaking with law enforcement, Cobb allegedly admitted to writing at least some of the threatening messages and to planning a mass attack. He reportedly identified a Jersey Strong gym and an Aldi grocery store in Robbinsville, New Jersey, as two possible locations.Cobb also reportedly expressed admiration for some white serial killers and indicated he felt a connection with them. He allegedly told investigators he respected the racist white shooter who gunned down black people in a Buffalo grocery store for his "element of surprise and style." He likewise claimed to have felt the white Parkland shooter's "pain."When investigators told Cobb they would seize his digital devices, Cobb allegedly responded, "These are the things that make someone want to do the things we talked about." Cobb also allegedly told another Marine, "This is why people like me shoot people."Cobb joined the Marines sometime in 2023 and completed basic training last June. He was stationed in California until he was discharged last week. He is believed to have made most, if not all, of the threatening messages from his home in New Jersey.Cobb was arrested last Friday and charged with one count of transmitting a threat in interstate and foreign commerce, a federal offense that carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and $250,000. He remains in custody at the Monmouth County jail without bond. He has another hearing scheduled for Friday.Like Blaze News?
