When free donuts show up at your door, how can you resist? That’s the question Becca Barnoski found herself asking when a DoorDash delivery showed up at her apartment door. The order was from Duck Donuts, and it contained six of the most delicious pastries. The order had been sitting at Becca’s door for two hours when she reached out to someone with an important question: Would it be wrong for her to make the mistaken delivery officially hers now? Or, as Becca worded it in a text, “Morally can it be mine?” Whoever she texted didn’t hesitate to give their approval. In fact, they jokingly said the donuts are “legally yours now.” With this approval, Becca ate the donuts… only to discover an interesting note on her door hours later. It was from the folks who were supposed to get the donuts. TikTok Woman Makes Things Right After Donut Delivery is Taken to the Wrong Door As you can imagine, this note made Becca feel bad for them. Still, she could have easily ignored the note. But that’s not what she did. Instead, she reached out to them and was totally honest about what happened. Rather than getting upset, her neighbors were understanding. In fact, they turned down Becca’s offer of reimbursement. You can see one of the neighbor’s kind texts in the image below. TikTok Despite these selfless neighbors insisting Becca didn’t owe them anything, she couldn’t let go of what happened. She felt guilty for what she had done, and she was determined to make it up to them. So, she decided to leave a note of her own at their door… along with quite the gift card!
