The Jam drummer and co-founder Rick Buckler passed away at the age of 69, the cause of death was not revealed. He had recently cancelled a few dates of his spoken word tour due to "ongoing health issues". The news about his death was revealed by his former bandmate Paul Weller, the bassist/guitarist and vocalist of The Jam. What Paul Weller said about Rick's death "I'm shocked and saddened by Rick's passing. I'm thinking back to us all rehearsing in my bedroom in Stanley Road, Woking. To all the pubs and clubs we played at as kids, to eventually making a record. What a journey! We went far beyond our dreams and what we made stands the test of time. My deepest sympathy to all family and friends." What Bruce Foxton said about Rick's passing Besides Paul Weller, the longtime The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton also talked about Rick's death.
