Kip Moore Let Love Slip Through His Fingers In Unreleased Song, “Bad Spot”
I already love the sound of this one.
This morning, Kip Moore teased a new song called "Bad Spot," which finds him reflecting on a relationship gone wrong and how he wasn't in a place mentally to be the man his ex needed him to be:

I didn't want you to think I'd just let you go the that
I think I'm out of the woods now if you wanna talk
I lost you in a bad spot
Baby I was in a bad spot"
I love the concept of being in a "bad spot" and breaking up like it's a phone call that got lost in translation, and I'm excited to hear the full thing, because I think this is already my favorite out of what new singles we've heard from him lately.
Kip released several new songs towards the end of 2024, including "Learning As I Go," "Live Here To Work," "Flowers in December," and “Wildfire,” which will likely all be included on his forthcoming (unofficially announced) album.
The last time we heard from him in an official capacity in terms of an album was when he put out his fifth studio album Damn Love in early 2023, though he’s turned the page to a new chapter, now signed with Virgin Music Group, after leaving his longtime label MCA Nashville last year.
There's just something about the acoustic guitar and forlorn heartbreak that I can't get enough of, and I hope it's dropping sooner rather than later... check it out:

On the CMA Awards red carpet this past November, Moore confirmed that the album is coming in 2025, and when asked if he could disclose anything about the record, Moore noted that it's the most extensive record he's ever made:
"It's going to have four sides. It's the biggest record I've ever made as far as the number of songs. Side A and B are completely different than side C and D.
Side A and B is a journey that will make sense the minute you hear it, and side C and D is a collection of songs that are about to show you that I'm weaving into an entire other avenue that's coming... you might get two records in one year."
I'll be honest, Damn Love was kind of a miss for me in terms of how mediocre it was compared to his other records, so I'me excited by the prospect of a fresh start and the sound of the new songs we've already heard. It definitely feels more authentic and genuine to who he is as an artist, so I have high hopes for KM6.
Moore will head overseas to tour this summer, and in all likelihood, will probably have some US dates coming for 2025 as well.
