Championship-Winning Team Accepts Invitation To Visit White House

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced they will accept an invitation to visit the White House to celebrate the franchise’s World Series title. “In keeping with long-standing baseball tradition, President Trump has invited the 2024 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers to the White House when they play in Washington D.C. on April 7. The Dodgers look forward to visiting the White House and celebrating our title,” the Dodgers announced. “In addition, members of the Dodgers will visit Capitol Hill on April 8,” it added. In… — Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) March 25, 2025 Per Yahoo Sports: The Dodgers set themselves up for a White House visit with their World Series run last year, capped off with a five-game win in the Fall Classic over the New York Yankees, Trump’s preferred MLB team. There had, however, been some question about whether the Dodgers would make the trip to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, especially given the timing. Before Tuesday, there had been no indication of the team’s plans, despite April 7 being only two weeks away. By comparison, the Philadelphia Eagles, a team that did not visit Trump during his first presidency amid contentious circumstances, won their second Super Bowl on Feb. 9 and confirmed they were visiting the White House on March 11. In that time, Trump has feuded with local politicians and threatened to withhold federal aid for the wildfires that ravaged part of Los Angeles in January. His administration has also drawn heavy criticism over the deletion of an article about Jackie Robinson’s Army history, which was later restored, as part of its campaign against DEI policies. In 2021, the team’s 2020 World Series title was celebrated by President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. This time, the Dodgers will be welcomed by President Trump — which, given past comments some team members have made, raised questions in the wake of Tuesday’s announcement about whether anyone might decline to take part in the event. Roberts said he would participate, despite comments he made to The Times in 2019 indicating he might not go to the White House if Trump — who was notoriously critical of Roberts’ managing on Twitter during the 2018 World Series — was president. “I respect the position,” Roberts said Tuesday, confirming his attendance for next month’s trip. “It’s the highest office in our country certainly, in the world. So I’m looking forward to it.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Vows To ‘Eliminate’ A Massive Federal Agency

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Vows To ‘Eliminate’ A Massive Federal Agency

President Donald Trump’s second term has been largely defined thus far by a focus on eliminating waste and fraud across the federal government. This week, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem offered a glimpse into one such effort she said is already underway. As The Hill reported: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said she planned to “eliminate” the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during a televised Cabinet meeting Monday. While giving a status report on border security, Noem added, “and we’re going to eliminate FEMA.” She did not elaborate. “That’s great. Great job,” President Trump said — appearing to respond to her broader status update. FEMA has long been a target of fiscal conservatives for years, and Noem’s remark was met with considerable support on social media: Send it back to the states. Any Governor that needs to up their disaster response should look to Florida’s leadership and disaster plans. — Ryan Jacobsen (@Dndbreakfast) March 24, 2025 Good. They seized donated supplies and blocked rescuer’s access to save lives. They should all be in jail. — The Nerd (@maietta) March 25, 2025 That is excellent news. Another agency that can’t seem to operate at all, never mind efficiently. — MM (@mmstratus) March 25, 2025 Trump himself has hinted at getting rid of the agency, as reported by CBS News: On Wednesday, Mr. Trump signed an executive order directing state and local governments to “play a more active and significant role” in preparing for emergencies nationwide. “I say you don’t need FEMA, you need a good state government,” Mr. Trump said while visiting the Los Angeles communities following devastating wildfires in January. “FEMA is a very expensive, in my opinion, mostly failed situation.” For months, the president has toyed with the idea of eliminating the agency. The nation’s disaster relief arm was established under the Carter administration and later reshuffled under DHS as the department was stood up post-9/11. Project 2025 policy proposals include a call for “reforming FEMA emergency spending to shift the majority of preparedness and response costs to states and localities instead of the federal government.” “If states aren’t ready, they better get ready,” one current FEMA employee told CBS News. “It takes FEMA four months to refresh and restock all of our goods that get sent out for hurricane season. I can’t imagine the states are anywhere near staffed up enough or robust enough to handle this mission on their own.” Here’s what Noem had to say on the matter nearly two months ago:

Gov. Abbott Responds To Rep. Crockett’s Apparent Insult About His Handicap: ‘Americans Are Not Buying It’

Another day, another disaster. That’s how Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott described the Democratic Party — specifically referring to recent taunts aimed at him by a member of Congress representing his own state. Controversial Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) appeared to mock Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, by referring to him as “Governor Hot Wheels” during an event over the weekend. During a Fox News Channel appearance on Tuesday, the governor responded: “It’s another day and another disaster by the Democrats. The reality is they have no vision, no policy. They have nothing to sell but hate, and Americans are not buying it,” Abbott said in an interview on “Hannity.” Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, spoke at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles over the weekend, where she referred to the former state attorney general as “Governor Hot Wheels.” Crockett clarified her comments in a post on X, claiming she “wasn’t thinking about the governor’s condition.” “I was thinking about the planes, trains, and automobiles he used to transfer migrants into communities led by Black mayors, deliberately stoking tension and fear among the most vulnerable. Literally, the next line I said was that he was a “Hot A** Mess,” referencing his terrible policies. At no point did I mention or allude to his condition,” she wrote in part. It’s safe to say that many social media users weren’t convinced by her claims of innocence: Jasmine Crockett is gaslighting to the extreme. She’s such a fraud and a coward. She can’t even admit the truth when it’s all on video. There’s no saving your political career Jasmine. You’re just a terrible person. You’re being censured. Resign.pic.twitter.com/RpOP2wBwR0 — Paul A. Szypula (@Bubblebathgirl) March 25, 2025 You called him hot wheels and he is in a fn wheelchair. Instead of apologizing and saying you know that was probably not the best thing to say, you try to lie about it. Shame on you. — matt jordan (@matttjordan) March 25, 2025 This internet is forever. Here is what you actually said pic.twitter.com/uISDbflyMp — Cash Loren (@CashLorenShow) March 25, 2025 While Abbott can clearly withstand the grade-school name-calling, Crockett’s remarks about Elon Musk are attracting much more serious attention. According to The Hill: Attorney General Pam Bondi said Monday that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) should apologize to Tesla shareholders over comments she made calling “for Elon [Musk] to be taken down.” “On March 29 it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down,” Crockett said in an event livestreamed last Thursday by a protest group pushing for Tesla owners to sell their cars and people who own Tesla stock to get rid of it. Bondi shot back at Crockett’s comments Monday on Fox News’s “Hannity.” “After she said that about Elon, she said, ‘Well, I didn’t mean violence,’ but, however, your words have consequences,” Bondi told Sean Hannity. “And what happened after she said that about Elon Musk, she’s a Texan, in her — in her own home state, after she said that, this morning, three explosive devices were found in Austin, Texas,” the attorney general added. “So, she needs to unequivocally denounce the violence, she must apologize immediately, not only to all Texans, but to our country, to the American shareholders of Tesla, because she is promoting violence.” Here’s some additional coverage of her recent antics: And here’s a clip of Abbott’s reaction: NEW: Greg Abbott delivers the PERFECT response after Rep. Jasmine Crockett mocked his disability and called him “Governor Hot Wheels.” “It’s another day and another disaster by the Democrats. The reality is they have no vision, no policy. They have nothing to sell but hate. And… pic.twitter.com/5O89hf7MX0 — The Vigilant Fox (@VigilantFox) March 26, 2025

More Transgender Violence: TPUSA President Attacked on Campus

At the University of Texas at Dallas, a TPUSA chapter event turned violent. An Asian “woman” on a bike smashed phones and hit chapter president Paige Neumann in the head with a metal bike lock! Her VP Grace was also targeted during the attack. TPUSA’s Charlie Kirk posted video and photos of the aftermath, and campus police quickly made an arrest. They identified the suspect as Liam Thanh Tam Nguyen, a biological male. Is anyone still surprised? This mental illness seems to keep morphing into violence. .@TPUSAStudents Chapter President, Paige Neumann, and her secretary, Grace, were assaulted today while tabling at the University of Texas at Dallas. According to information on the Collin County, Texas police department’s website, the suspect, listed as Liam Thanh Tam Nguyen, is a biological male. A Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter president was assaulted on campus at the University of Texas at Dallas while hosting an informational table on Tuesday. Paige Neumann and her chapter vice president, Grace, were tabling when an individual on a bike approached them and launched an attack. The assailant shattered both of their phones and struck Neumann in the head with a metal bike lock. TPUSA CEO Charlie Kirk shared details about the incident on social media, including photos and videos of the aftermath. He stated that campus police were actively investigating and searching for the suspect. “JUST IN — Our Chapter President, Paige Neumann, and her secretary Grace were just assaulted while tabling at the University of Texas at Dallas. The attacker took a metal bike lock and slammed it against Paige’s head (pictured below), hitting her so hard that it completely shattered Paige’s phone,” Kirk posted. “It’s unclear if the perpetrator is female or trans.” Well, it’s been confirmed. It’s a dude. I mean, you can tell just by his torso. That bra doesn’t fool me. He’s not even an A cup. This lunatic @UT_Dallas student BIKED THROUGH @alexstein99’s camera and mic setup. Without Any Evidence, MSM Blows Up No-Never-Mind Signal Chat

The media is going bonkers over what Donald Trump called a glitch that allowed Trump and GOP hater Jeffrey Goldberg in on a Signal chat he claims included war plans. Senate Confirms COVID Lockdown Opponent Dr. Jay Bhattacharya To Lead NIH

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya was confirmed Tuesday night by the Senate in a party-line vote to lead the National Institutes of Health. The Senate voted 53-47 to confirm Bhattacharya with all Republicans supporting his nomination and every Democrat voting against confirming the Stanford School of Medicine medical professor. Bhattacharya has promised to bring more accountability to the NIH, which oversees tens of billions of dollars in federal grant dollars.  “The mission of the NIH is to address the health needs the American people have and to expand life expectancy of the American people. And we have not achieved that. It’s flatlined,” Bhattacharya said during his confirmation hearing earlier this month before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. Bhattacharya widely rose to prominence during the COVID pandemic, when he was a sharp critic of the government-imposed lockdowns and was one of the first to express concerns about the safety and efficacy of vaccine mandates. During COVID, he was an advisor to Florida, aiding Governor Ron DeSantis in the reopening of the Sunshine State.  “Science should be an engine for freedom. Knowledge and freedom … it shouldn’t be pushing mandates for vaccines like the COVID vaccines,” Bhattacharya said during his confirmation hearing. “The role of the scientist should not be to say that you can’t send your kid to school for two years.” In his nomination announcement, President Donald Trump said that Bhattacharya would work alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to “Make America Healthy Again” and “restore the NIH to a Gold Standard of Medical Research as they examine the underlying causes of, and solutions to, America’s biggest Health challenges, including our Crisis of Chronic Illness and Disease.” Bhattacharya also promised during his confirmation hearing that he would support experiments that take different approaches to an issue, saying that much of the established scientific community has failed to provide satisfactory answers.  On Tuesday, the Senate also voted 56-44 to confirm Dr. Marty Makary to head up the Food and Drug Administration. Democrat Senators Dick Durbin (IL), Maggie Hassan (NH), and Jeanne Shaheen (NH) joined Republicans in voting for Makary.  When he nominated Makary, Trump said that he would work with RFK Jr. to “properly evaluate harmful chemicals poisoning our Nation’s food supply and drugs and biologics being given to our Nation’s youth, so that we can finally address the Childhood Chronic Disease Epidemic.”
