Pamela Anderson Is So Humble In Addressing Oscars Snub

After two postponements because of the Los Angeles wildfires, the Academy Awards’ organizers, on Thursday, January 23rd, finally released the official nomination list for its prized event. Along with the excitement and happiness, however, the nomination list also caused controversy because several well-known performers, including Pamela Anderson, were absent from the list. This decision was met with outrage from her loyal fans, believing that the actress’s outstanding performance in her latest movie, The Last Showgirl, ought to be considered for an award. However, in response to the events, Anderson, in a new interview recently, discussed her feelings over the Oscar snub, and her calm and positive comments were jaw-dropping. Pamela Anderson remains positive despite Oscar snub Pamela Anderson/Instagram In a discussion with Elle.com, Anderson explained that she was not upset about not receiving an Oscar nomination. The 57-year-old claimed that she was content with her acting profession since she felt that the real reward for her enthusiasm was “doing the work.” The actress acknowledged that while winning awards is important to actors because it makes them feel recognized, actors should prioritize their creative process more and try not to get caught up in the glamour of the awards so that they do not forget what it really means to be an entertainer. Pamela Anderson/Instagram Pamela Anderson expresses gratitude for getting recognized for her work as an actor Anderson further expressed gratitude for her SAG nomination, noting that it holds significant meaning for her, as it represents a nod of approval from her peers within the entertainment industry. Pamela Anderson/Instagram During an appearance on Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live, she revealed that her latest film has done her a lot of good, especially in the wake of her painful experience with the Hulu series Pam & Tommy, which chronicled her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. She explained her profound joy at finally receiving recognition for her work rather than her past, shifting the focus away from her personal life and onto her professional accomplishments.  Next up: Demi Moore’s First-Ever Oscar Nomination Fuels Official Career Comeback The post Pamela Anderson Is So Humble In Addressing Oscars Snub appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia. Dick Van Dyke’s Wife Had Never Seen Him In ‘Mary Poppins’ When They First Met

Dick Van Dyke graced a recent episode of Ted Danson’s Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast, where he revealed that his wife missed out on his classics growing up. The 99-year-old is married to Arlene Silver, who had yet to see Mary Poppins when they first met. Arlene was sure to point out during their first encounter that she had never even seen Van Dyke on TV, making him think she had no idea who he was. The 53-year-old clarified that her husband was quite famous at the time, but she just never watched him. How did Dick Van Dyke meet his wife? MARY POPPINS, Dick Van Dyke, 1964 Van Dyke and Arlene’s first encounter was backstage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards event in 2006. It was over four decades since Van Dyke played chimney sweep Bert alongside the lead Julie Andrews. He earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his performance but lost to Rex Harrison of My Fair Lady. Van Dyke did not mind Arlene not knowing him — if anything, he preferred it. He recalled feeling like an ordinary guy because she was not impressed. For him, it was love at first sight, while it took Arlene a while to come to terms with their 46-year age gap.             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Dick Van Dyke by Alaura Imagery & Design (@alauravandyke)   Dick Van Dyke’s career so far  Van Dyke’s Hollywood career has spanned nearly seven decades, with trials and triumphs along the way. While receiving his award, he admitted that he could not believe he was still alive and so agile; therefore, he was willing to do more work. He also acknowledged Arlene, who produced the Dick Van Dyke special that earned him the recognition.
