The slow drip of stories on Biden’s decline has turned into a waterfall. On Tuesday, the authors of the new bombshell book “Original Sin” – CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson – revealed the existence of what they called a “politburo” of longtime advisors who were, if not making the decisions for President Biden, heavily influencing his decisions: Mike Donilon, Steve Burschetti, Ron Klain and Bruce Reed. The plan was for clips of that orchestrated event to be used in TV ads. But according to reporting in the new book, the 90-minute event was a disaster, with Biden unable to string together coherent answers. As one staffer put it, “the man could not speak.” It was so bad that the campaign never aired any footage, blaming poor lighting instead of the president’s mental capabilities. That story and countless others have drawn outrage from folks asking just how many people were involved in concealing Biden’s cognitive decline. Much of that outrage has been directed at the former president’s inner circle, but people are also asking questions about the media’s role. For years, many of the country’s most prominent outlets and news anchors parroted White House talking points that President Biden was totally fit for office and locked in behind closed doors. For example, just to pick a name out of the hat, in a 2020 interview with Lara Trump, Tapper himself was so incensed by claims that then-candidate Biden was showing signs of cognitive decline that he ended the interview early. Tapper has since admitted that conservatives were right all along for questioning Biden’s mental fitness. But plenty of people don’t buy the excuse that the legacy media were totally in the dark about Biden’s mental and physical decline and believe journalists are only changing their tune now because they’re trying to save their credibility. “Now that Joe Biden has no power anymore and can’t hurt them, now that he is a cancer-ridden old senile man, they are lining up to kick him,” author and journalist Batya Ungar-Sargon told The Daily Wire. “Acting like somehow they deserve credit for speaking truth to power now that he no longer has any more power.”   Tom Homan Tells Morning Wire His Plan To Ramp Up Deportations Topline: Border czar Tom Homan called for the passage of the Trump budget bill that the House passed on Thursday morning, which he says is crucial to carrying out the president’s immigration agenda. Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan spoke with Homan on Wednesday.  He made a case for why ICE needs more money to continue to secure the border, increase deportations, and clean up sanctuary cities. “We’ve made a lot of progress on the border, but we want to keep it permanent,” Homan told The Daily Wire. “We need the money, not just for the border, but interior enforcement operations… ICE is in the hole right now. They got about 50,000 people in beds. We’re funded for 34,000. Ice is already in the hole, so if we want to continue this massive deportation operation, we need more money.” Homan said that if Congress authorizes the spending, ICE will prioritize getting more teams on the streets and more bed space for detainees, as well as more frequent flights to remove illegal aliens from the United States more quickly. “There’s no downside on a secure border and there’s no downside in less trafficking of women and children. There’s no downside in less fentanyl, there’s no downside in less people on terrorist watch list coming across, there’s no downside in taking billions of dollars away from the cartels. There’s no downside in removing public safety threats and national security threats from this country. We should all be on the same page. So step up, get this done. Give us the money we need so we can keep President Trump’s promise to American people alive.”    Supreme Court Sides With Maine Republican, Restores Voting Rights Topline:  The U.S. Supreme Court has sided with a Maine Republican after Democrats punished her for drawing attention to controversial transgender policies in the state. Maine state Rep. Laurel Libby was censured by Democrats back in February in a party-line vote over a post she published on Facebook that highlighted a male athlete winning a state championship in the girls’ high school pole vault competition. In Maine, males who identify as transgender are allowed to participate in female sports – which, according to all polling, is not a policy supported by the American people, even in a liberal state like Maine. “The Democrat majority in the Maine House voted to censure me and at the same time to strip my constituents of their voice and their vote,” Libby told The Daily Wire. “Following that, the censure vote is when Speaker Ryan Fecto declared that until I apologize, I would not be allowed to speak or vote on the floor.” Libby refused to take down her Facebook post and would not apologize. For that, she’s been stripped of her right to vote and speak on the House floor for months. Libby told The Daily Wire she knew “immediately” that she had to take legal action to challenge her punishment. She lost at the district and appeals court levels, before she appealed to the Supreme Court in April. The court sided with Libby and ruled 7-2 that she can vote while her legal battle is playing out. There were only two dissents, from liberal justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor.  The Trump administration is still fighting the state’s Democratic Gov. Janet Mills over her decision to defy President Donald Trump’s executive order barring males from girls’ spaces and sports. The feds have frozen federal funding for the state, and last month, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a civil lawsuit against Maine’s Department of Education.  There have also been questions raised about the network of transgender groups surrounding Mills and her family. The governor’s sister, Dora Anne Mills, is the chief health improvement officer at MaineHealth. That health system was a top donor to Mills’ 2022 gubernatorial run and offers irreversible “procedures” for gender-confused minors, such as puberty blockers, and what they call “gender affirming hormone therapy,” and “menstrual suppression.” 

Aaron Rodgers, the former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets star quarterback, spoke out against men competing against women on Wednesday, blasting the transgender movement as “anti-woman.” Rodgers, known for speaking his mind on controversial topics, addressed the issue of men in women’s sports with podcast host Joe Rogan. During the episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience” posted on Wednesday, Rogan ripped into leagues that allow men who identify as women to take achievements away from women. “What is it, like 700 women were robbed of gold medals across various sports — might have been more than that — because these biological men pretended to be women and identified as women and dominated in women’s sports,” Rogan said. “They have a giant advantage. Stop pretending they don’t.” “Yeah, the trans women movement is actually anti-woman,” Rodgers said, clarifying that he made the comment in reference to sports. “You’re not seeing trans men dominating anything,” Rodgers added, speaking of women who identify as men and compete against males. “It’s because there’s a biological difference.” The 41-year-old quarterback has been criticized for questioning vaccines and was forced to miss an NFL game during the 2021 season due to league protocols regarding players who had not received the COVID shot. Rodgers was released by the Jets in March after two seasons with the team — one of which he missed due to an Achilles injury. He is still a free agent. According to a U.N. report last year from the Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, female athletes lost out on nearly 900 medals after they had to compete against boys and men. It added that men being included in the female category makes women and girls more vulnerable to serious injuries “as documented in disciplines such as in volleyball, basketball, and soccer.” In recent years, more female athletes have begun to speak out against being forced to compete against men. Payton McNabb, a former high school volleyball player, has become one of the most outspoken advocates for protecting women’s sports after she was severely injured three years ago when a trans-identifying male opponent spiked a volleyball at her face. In March, McNabb attended President Donald Trump’s joint session to Congress as one of his guests. Trump has pushed to protect women’s sports, signing an executive order in February banning men from competing against women. Under the order, schools and universities risk losing federal funding if they continue to force women to compete against men. “It shall also be the policy of the United States to oppose male competitive participation in women’s sports more broadly, as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth,” Trump said.

Two Israeli Embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Milgrim, 28, were murdered in Washington, D.C., Wednesday night outside of an event at the Capital Jewish Museum. Friends and colleagues are mourning the tragic attack, saying the couple — soon to be engaged — were “in the prime of their lives.” The young couple was gunned down at close range when leaving the American Jewish Committee’s ACCESS Young Diplomats Reception around 9:10 p.m. The shooter, 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez of Chicago, was detained by police and shouted “Free Palestine,” according to police and a viral video of him in custody. Rodriguez said he “did this for Gaza” in the moments after the shooting, according to Sky News. “The entire embassy staff is heartbroken and devastated by their murder,” the Israeli embassy to the United States posted to X. “No words can express the depth of our grief and horror at this devastating loss.” The embassy’s spokesperson, Tal Naim, called it an “unbearable loss.” “Just this morning, we were still laughing together by the coffee corner — and now, all that remains is a picture,” Naim wrote. “Instead of walking you down the aisle, we are walking with you to your graves.” At a Wednesday night press conference, Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter said Lischinsky and Milgram were about to get engaged. “The couple that was gunned down tonight in the name of free Palestine is a couple that was about to be engaged,” he said. “The young man purchased a ring this week with the intention of proposing to his girlfriend next week in Jerusalem. They were a beautiful couple who came to enjoy an evening in Washington’s cultural center.” Lischinsky was a German-Israeli dual citizen and a devout evangelical Christian who immigrated to Israel at the age of 16 and served in the Israel Defense Forces. He studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and was fluent in German, Hebrew, English, and Japanese. He moved to work as a political analyst at the Israeli embassy in 2022. Israel’s Ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, said Lischinsky was his master’s student at Reichman University and described him as “bright, curious and engaged.” “He was a Christian, a true lover of Israel, served in the IDF, and chose to dedicate his life to the State of Israel and the Zionist cause,” Prosor wrote. “He embodied the Judeo-Christian values and set an example for young people worldwide. I paid my condolences to his parents this morning.” Another one of his teachers, Ronen Shoval, said that Lischinsky moved to Israel “based on his faith” and “decided to immigrate to Israel, serve in the IDF, and later dedicate his life to the State of Israel and Zionism.” “The beloved Yaron Leshinsky was my student at the Argaman Institute, a graduate of the Exodus program,” Shoval said according to Hebrew media. “He was a Christian, a great lover of Israel, who immigrated to Israel, served in the army, and decided to dedicate his life to the State of Israel and Zionism. A wonderful life story of a man with moral clarity, a Righteous Among the Nations in our generation, who decided to tie his life to the fate of the Jewish people.” On Lischinsky’s LinkedIn page, he wrote that he is “an ardent believer in the vision that was outlined in the Abraham Accords and believe that expanding the circle of peace with our Arab neighbors and pursuing regional cooperation is in the best interest of the State of Israel and the Middle East as a whole. To this end, I advocate for interfaith dialogue and intercultural understanding.” Earlier this month, Lischinsky posted to X about his gratitude for the United States on Israeli Independence Day. “We are deeply grateful for the historic alliance with our steadfast partner, the United States and the great American people, who have stood by our side,” he posted. “I look forward to working with this administration to bring about more security, freedom and peace.” Lischinsky’s close friend, Zineb Riboua, said he was “excited about the future, about finally visiting Texas, and about the life he and his beloved fiancée were building together. I was supposed to meet her today.” Fox News’ Trey Yingst said he spoke to Lischinsky’s father, who said his son and Milgrim were “in love.” Milgrim, who grew up in the Kansas City suburbs, was a full-time employee at the embassy’s Department of Public Diplomacy. When Milgrim was a senior at Shawnee Mission East School in Kansas City in 2017, she told a local news outlet that she felt unsafe at school after she saw swastikas and vulgar words. “You know, I worry about going to my synagogue and now I have to worry about my safety at my school and that shouldn’t be a thing,” she said. According to her LinkedIn, Milgrim worked for the embassy’s Department of Public Diplomacy. She got her Master of Arts at American University and was also a graduate of the University for Peace. Her “About” section on her LinkedIn says her “passion lies at the intersection of peacebuilding, religious engagement, and environmental work.” “While working with Tech2Peace in Tel Aviv, Israel, I conducted comprehensive research on peacebuilding theory, emphasizing grassroots initiatives in the Israeli-Palestinian region,” Milgrim wrote. “My diverse experiences, including facilitating insightful discussions on geopolitics in Israel and Palestine as a Jewish Educator.” Flags at Israeli missions around the world were lowered to half-mast after the shooting.
