A U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agent has been arrested in Texas on human smuggling charges, according to reports. On Friday, an employee of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) identified as Jorge Alonso was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for charges of smuggling and conspiracy to commit smuggling. Alonso was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector at the time of his arrest, according to a CBP statement provided to NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley.
