Videos Shows Massive Blow-Up Duck, Elephant Floating Across Traffic In Midwest Storm

Videos posted on TikTok show giant inflatable animals floating across traffic in Michigan following a windy storm. One TikTok user posted a clip of a massive blow-up duck floating across two lanes of traffic in Frankenmuth, Michigan. “What the fuck … no the duck,” a woman can be heard saying in the video as the […]

Reid Whines: Media Not Calling Trump Nazi, Hitler Enough!

MSNBC’s host Joy Reid pounced on a since-deleted video posted to  former President Trump’s Truth Social account. The video – made by a third party – briefly flashed the words “unified Reich” in a series of newspaper clippings. Reid characterized the post as a definitive representation of Trump’s fascist views, and ridiculously suggested that no one in the media was talking about it and that no one was calling him a Nazi. In addition, she repeatedly referenced several fascist leaders, especially Adolf Hitler, and accused other conservatives of relentlessly promoting fascist thought through their opinions and policies. After playing the now-deleted campaign ad, Reid ridiculously proclaimed: “As per usual, much of the media is downplaying the fact that the Republican nominee is once again using Nazi language.”     She drew attention to some of Trump’s associations and past comments, claiming they indubitably prove he was just like Hitler. She even said, “Donald Trump was proud that someone once compared him to Adolf Hitler.” The someone Reid referred to was former German Chancellor Angela Merkel who once praised Trump’s ability to attract large crowds. In Trump’s own words, “She told me she was amazed at the size of the crowds that came to see me speak. She said she could never get crowds like that. In fact, she told me that there was only one other political leader who ever got crowds as big as mine.” However, Merkel never explicitly named Hitler and while the comparison can be easily inferred, it remained doubtful whether Trump himself grasped the significance of the statement. Turning her ire toward other Republicans, she spun a conspiracy theory that everyone else in the party was priming the pump for a new Reich: “His fellow Republicans don't seem all that bothered. They go to extraordinary lengths to defend him, which is super weird, since they’ve spent the past six months painting Joe Biden and Democrats as pinko anti-Semites.” Later on, she again harped on Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s pardon of Daniel Perry, which NewsBusters previously addressed, that “Republicans are already enforcing [Trump’s] vision” of promising “to grant immunity to all police officers so they're free to kill anyone like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Roger Fortson.” “Perry will now walk free and joined Kyle Rittenhouse and George Zimmerman as Republican celebrities and heroes praised for killing perceived enemies of the right or the Reich, per Donald's post,” she chided. The segment continued with the MSNBC host’s interview of former Republican strategist Matthew Dowd, where she again brought up her gripe about the media. “What is it going to take to get the media to take seriously the fact that Donald Trump is acting like a Nazi, talking like a Nazi, and now posting like a Nazi?” she lamented. And so it appears our study of Godwin’s Law in the media holds fast. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: MSNBC's The ReidOut 5/21/2024 7:35:31 PM ET JOY REID: Yesterday, Donald Trump posted a video on his social media account. The video, which was a preview of a second Trump administration, promotes the mass deportation of migrants, standard Trump Fascist fare at this point. But it also references a “unified Reich.” You can faintly see it right there on a news clipping in the video. The meme was created by a group that collaborates with the Trump campaign. [The campaign ad] REID: The video has been deleted and the campaign tried to distance itself from the post, but here's the thing. Back in April, Trump told his followers only himself and longtime advisor Dan Scavino have access to his Truth Social account. Here’s another thing. Donald Trump was proud that someone once compared him to Adolf Hitler. He once praised Hitler for doing “some good things.” He uses Nazi rhetoric, denies, I mean, dines with neo-Nazis and white supremacists, and publicly defends them. [Cuts to video] DONALD TRUMP: We will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country. [Transition] Nobody has ever seen anything like what we're witnessing now. It's a very sad thing for our country. It's poisoning the blood of our country. [Transition] I think there's blame on both sides. You look at -- you look at both sides. I think there's blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it, and you don't have any doubt about it either. [Cuts back to live] REID: As per usual, much of the media is downplaying the fact that the Republican nominee is once again using Nazi language. His fellow Republicans don't seem all that bothered. They go to extraordinary lengths to defend him, which is super weird, since they’ve spent the past six months painting Joe Biden and Democrats as pinko anti-Semites. Here’s another thing. Donald Trump wants white nationalists to think he's great. He has said so. Jonathan Karl recently reported that back in 2016 when former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie tried to get him to disavow David Duke's endorsement, Trump told him, quote, “those people vote too.” And they have a reason to like what he's offering. He's promised to grant immunity to all police officers so they're free to kill anyone like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Roger Fortson. He's promised to launch national raids to round up 15 million migrants, place them in internment camps and mass deport them. And he plans on using the National Guard to police Democratic cities and use force to put down protests and restore, quote/unquote, “law and order.” In 2020, he told Mark Esper he wanted the military to shoot protesters in Washington, D.C. During the protests over George Floyd's murder. And Republicans are already enforcing his vision. Last week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott granted a full pardon and restoration of rights to Daniel Perry who was working as a rideshare driver in downtown Austin on July 25th, 2020, when he shot and killed 28-year-old Garrett Foster, an Air Force veteran who was participating in a George Floyd protest. Daniel Perry is an open racist who posted things on Facebook like, “It is official, I am a racist, because I do not agree with people acting like animals at the zoo.” And, “I might go to Dallas and shoot looters.” That was before he went to Austin and shot Garrett Foster. Abbott argued that Perry had a right to kill, because Texas has one of the strongest Stand Your Ground laws. Abbott's pardon didn't address Perry's apparent grooming of a 16-year-old teenager, which is odd since the Governor is a champion of banning books that supposedly sexualize children. Perry will now walk free and joined Kyle Rittenhouse and George Zimmerman as Republican celebrities and heroes praised for killing perceived enemies of the right or the Reich, per Donald's post.  Joining me now is Matthew Dowd, former Republican strategist and MSNBC senior political analyst. And I guess I'll just ask you from somebody who's sitting outside of the media window, what is it going to take to get the media to take seriously the fact that Donald Trump is acting like a Nazi, talking like a Nazi, and now posting like a Nazi? Chiefs' Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes give their support to Harrison Butker

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes gave their support to kicker Harrison Butker on Wednesday after he received heavy backlash for the pro-family speech he gave at Benedictine College.Butker said to the female graduates that while women can have rewarding careers, being the bedrock of a family will be the most rewarding part of their lives. Butker's detractors have gone on to baselessly accuse him of being a misogynist.“I don’t think he was speaking ill to women,” Reid told reporters. “He has his opinions, and we all respect that. I let you guys in this room, and you have a lot of opinions that I don’t like, so.”“I didn’t talk to him about this. I didn’t think we needed to,” Reid added. “We’re a microcosm of life. Everyone is from different areas, different religions, different races. And so, we all get along, we all respect each other’s opinions and not necessarily do we go by those, but we respect everyone to have a voice. That’s the great thing about America, man, … and my wish is that everybody can kind of follow that.”'Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity ...'Reid noted having the ability to hold different opinions while still being able to work together to accomplish something is what makes the U.S. a great country.“I’ve known him for seven years. I judge him by the character he shows every day, and that’s a good person. That's someone who cares about the people around him, cares about his family,” Mahomes said. “We’re not always going to agree. He said certain things I don’t necessarily agree with.”In contrast, the NFL issued a statement distancing itself from Butker.“Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity,” Jonathan Beane, NFL senior vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer, said in a statement released on Thursday. “His views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”The leftist outrage over Butker's speech has gone into overdrive. The Daily Beast published a piece that went as far as to accuse Butker of anti-Semitism.Like Blaze News? Is 'Mr. Birchum' right-wing cringe?

While many of us complain about the depravity and wokeness that’s infiltrated our favorite Hollywood shows and movies — others are taking matters into their own hands. And the new show "Mr. Birchum," which is created by the Daily Wire and stars comedian Adam Carolla, is doing just that. While Lauren Chen has her criticisms of the show itself, she’s glad the show exists for that reason. “I think it is a good thing that more conservatives and right-wingers like the people over at the Daily Wire are getting involved in the creation of entertainment media,” Chen says, adding, “You know, instead of just complaining about what Hollywood does all the time.” While Chen believes this should encourage more right-wingers and conservative studios to create their own shows, she isn’t a huge fan of this particular show. “I also don’t want to, I mean, frankly, say that something is good just because it agrees with my political narrative when in reality, I don’t find it entertaining,” Chen explains. “This is the type of show that proves that if you’re a conservative or a right-winger who often complains about modern films and series being too political, but you happen to like ‘Mr. Birchum,’ I mean, it kind of seems like the problem isn’t actually that entertainment media is too political, it’s just that the message that is being pushed is one that you happen to disagree with,” she adds. This is why if you genuinely dislike politics being infused into entertainment, no matter what yours are, the show may not be for you. “Personally, I’m just of the approach where I don’t necessarily think it’s a good thing if conservative networks put out entertainment media that is really only meant for conservatives,” Chen explains, adding, “If conservative networks actually want to begin seriously competing with Hollywood, releasing shows that right off the bat are going to alienate at least 50% of the population, I mean, I just don’t think that’s a good business move.” Want more from Lauren Chen?To enjoy more of Lauren’s pro-liberty, pro-logic, and pro-market commentary on social and political issues, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Kidnapping victim's wife used phone location tracking to trick suspect and get him arrested, Texas police say

Texas police say that an 18-year-old was arrested after the wife of his kidnapping victim tricked him by use of their phone's location tracking capabilities. Vanessa Chavez spoke to KTRK-TV about the call she received from the alleged kidnapper on the phone of her husband, Juan Chavez, on May 15. She said her husband was making deliveries for Uber Eats in order to earn money to feed their twin babies. On that day, he called her and said that he was in a life-or-death situation. Her first thought was to call the police. "I immediately said, 'I am calling the police right now,' and as soon as I said that, I heard the man's voice; he's like, 'You're not calling the police. I need you to send me $2,000,'" she recalled. Juan Chavez told KTRK that 18-year-old Houston Charles-Stephens approached him armed with a gun at Whataburger on Gessener Road in the Spring Branch area. Police said that a language barrier led to the arrest of the suspect. That's because Juan Chavez didn't speak English well, so, he asked to call his wife so that she could interpret for the man. Vanessa Chavez said that she had been tracking her husband on his late night deliveries for safety. She quickly came up with a plan. "I just really quickly said, 'Ok, find a Bank of America.' In my head, I was like, 'I am going to buy my husband more time so I can call the police,'" she said. Knowing that her husband's Discover Card was not going to work at Bank of America, she said that she used the time to call police. Following the location tracking after she hung up with the kidnapper, police made their way to the last location on Fondren Road in southwest Houston. The alleged kidnapper and his victim had moved on from the Bank of America to a nearby Chevron, where police picked them up. Vanessa Chavez said that police called her and told her that they had her husband and he was safe. "I mean, it was in a matter of minutes, but it felt like a very long time," she said. Houston Police said that the suspect had also kidnapped and robbed a Dominoes Pizza delivery person just one day before targeting Chavez. "I am really happy that they did catch the guy because we didn't know at the time, but it was probably something he did before and something he'd do again," Vanessa Chavez said. She says the frightening incident has left her husband with anxiety and panic attacks. He is no longer going to make deliveries for Uber Eats. "We would have never imagined something like this would have happened to him," Vanessa Chavez said. Here's a news video about the arrest: Like Blaze News? Nikki Haley says she'll vote for Trump

Nikki Haley, who previously sought the 2024 GOP presidential nod and has been strongly critical of former President Donald Trump, has said that she will vote for him.Haley, who served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during a portion of Trump's White House tenure, dropped her Republican presidential primary bid more than two months ago after a lackluster Super Tuesday performance.'I genuinely hope he does that.'"As a voter, I put my priorities on a president" who will "have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account; who would secure the border, no more excuses; a president who would support capitalism and freedom; a president who understands we need less debt, not more debt. Trump has not been perfect on these policies," Haley said on Wednesday, noting that she has "made that clear many, many times. But Biden has been a catastrophe. So, I will be voting for Trump.""Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me and not assume that they're just gonna be with him. And I genuinely hope he does that," she said."And you even TWEETED this. Shame," former Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois tweeted in response to a post on Haley's X account that contained video of her comments. Kinzinger describes himself on X as a "Proud RINO."Earlier this year, Haley suggested Trump was "not qualified" to serve as president.Despite dropping out of contention earlier this year, Haley has still received a portion of the Republican presidential primary vote in various states, likely indicating that that some Republicans are dissatisfied with Trump as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee. — (@) Like Blaze News?
