They want to disrupt America,” he continued. “So these protesters burn American flags even on the Fourth of July, and I wish to salute the fraternity brothers at the University of North Carolina who protected the American flag, protected the American flag against these anti-Israel protesters.” The overwhelming majority of those in the attendance, with the exception of several high profile Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), stood up and cheered as he praised the fraternity brothers. But the protesters persisted, he said. It seems fitting that Richard’s final message seemed to be a sign from heaven that he was OK.
