Former Republican Congressman Arrested

Former Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn was arrested in Florida amid his attempt to make a political comeback. Cawthorn, who served as the U.S. representative for North Carolina’s 11th congressional district from 2021 to 2023, was arrested for failing to appear in court over a traffic citation. According to the New York Post, Cawthorn received a citation for driving without a valid license. Disgraced ex-Rep. Madison Cawthorn arrested days after announcing political comeback plot https://t.co/dznMPzSDgq pic.twitter.com/lU6MWybNMs — New York Post (@nypost) September 11, 2025 More from the New York Post: His reps confirmed that he “was arrested … for failure to appear for a routine traffic infraction.” “Madison keeps a very busy schedule and, due to a scheduling misunderstanding, did not appear in court this morning,” his reps said. “Following processing Madison was immediately released.” Cawthorn was booked and released on a $2,000 bond, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Cawthorn is preparing to launch a campaign to run for congress in Florida’s 19th District, Axios reported last week. The seat Cawthorn is preparing to run for will be vacated by Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), who is running for governor of Florida. JUST IN: Former North Carolina Rep. MADISON CAWTHORN prepares to run for Congress in Florida's 19th Congressional District, to replace Byron Donalds, per Axios. pic.twitter.com/BorAR1eMo0 — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) September 4, 2025 Daily Mail noted: Cawthorn’s arrest comes less than 24 hours after he met with Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill, according to Axios, to discuss launching a run for Congress from his new home state. The former congressman had only just begun laying the groundwork for what sources described as a highly visible reentry into national politics. The Florida seat is expected to draw a crowded GOP primary, but with his notoriety and loyal MAGA base, Cawthorn was widely seen as a wildcard contender who could once again upend the establishment. Wednesday’s arrest is not the first time Cawthorn has tangled with Florida authorities. In 2024, he was involved in a collision along Alligator Alley in Collier County, slamming into the rear of a Florida State Trooper vehicle. That incident drew headlines but did not result in serious charges. Cawthorn’s team insists the arrest was a simple clerical mishap, not a sign of deeper issues.

Unseen Turmoil: Kamala’s Memoir Exposes White House Rift…

Kamala Harris’s explosive memoir allegations threaten to expose internal White House conflicts that could shake the core of the Democratic Party. Harris’s Memoir Alleges Undermining by Biden’s Staff In her newly published memoir “107 Days,” Kamala Harris claims that President Biden’s staff not only failed to defend her against negative press but actively fueled negative narratives. According to Harris, these narratives painted her office as chaotic and contributed to her failed 2024 presidential campaign. Her allegations highlight the power struggles and lack of support within the White House, raising questions about internal communication and loyalty among senior officials. Media Scrutiny and White House Dynamics Harris’s tenure as vice president was marked by persistent media scrutiny, often fueled by leaks from within the White House. Early assignments, such as handling immigration issues, placed her under intense public pressure. Reports frequently highlighted high staff turnover and alleged dysfunction within her office. The White House communications team, led by Karine Jean-Pierre, faced criticism for not adequately defending Harris or countering negative press, exacerbating her public perception challenges. Harris’s memoir details specific incidents that contributed to her negative image, such as the media focus on her alleged “French accent” during a diplomatic trip to France in 2021. These narratives were amplified by media organizations, often based on anonymous White House sources. Implications for the Democratic Party and Future Administrations The publication of Harris’s memoir has reignited debate about internal White House dynamics and the treatment of vice presidents. These revelations could potentially embarrass the Biden team and place the Democratic Party under increased scrutiny regarding its internal unity and communications strategy. The story underscores the need for future administrations to manage internal communications better and support high-profile officials to prevent similar issues from arising. Kamala Comes Out Swinging At Team Biden In New Book https://t.co/raqLWd8A4S via @dailycaller — chuck harrison (@0SweetSolace0) September 10, 2025 Experts note that the historical pattern of vice presidents being undermined by presidential staff often stems from perceived rivalries or lack of trust. Harris’s allegations reflect broader issues of gender and racial bias in political coverage, highlighting the challenges faced by vice presidents in defining their roles and maintaining positive public images amidst internal and external pressures. Farm Creates Dinosaur Mural With The Perfect Accompaniment

If you are ever traveling near Williams, Arizona, you absolutely MUST take a side venture to Bedrock City. Bedrock is the fictitious home of Fred Flintstone, his wife Wilma, and their neighbors, Barney and Betty Rubble. Bedrock City is part of the Raptor Ranch complex, which welcomes patrons with a dinosaur mural urging people to feed the “Goatasaurus.” The dinosaur mural includes a Brontosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and more. However, there is an animal twist, and that is where the “Goatasaurus” butts in. Specifically, each dinosaur has a cutout where its face would be. Goats from behind the mural are sticking their heads through the holes so patrons can feed them. It makes a hilarious scene. The goat-dinosaur hybrids have become a fan favorite. @dailydoseofdels For licensing and usage contact licensing@ViralHog.com Raptor Ranch, formerly Bedrock City, located in Williams Arizona! #RaptorRanch #JurassicPark #Summer #Dinosaur #Goats ♬ original sound – Prehistoric Park Bedrock City opened in 1972 when the Flintstones cartoon series was still popular. The series was in production from 1960 until 1966 and enjoyed a great run in syndication. The popular cartoon spawned several spin-offs, but none enjoyed the success of the original. Over the years, Bedrock City entertained many guests, but it was looking pretty run-down when Troy Morris and Ron Brown purchased the site in 2019. They have been working on improving and expanding the roadside attraction. The addition of the dinosaur mural and “Goatasaurus” feeding station is one of the newer attractions. In Bedrock City, patrons can observe large dinosaur statues, see the Flintstones’ foot-powered car, and play on a giant Brontosaurus slide. Visitors to the attraction can view live bird-of-prey demonstrations at Raptor Ranch, where they learn how raptors hunt in the wild. Patrons can participate in fossil digs, and feed the Goatasaurus. The site is perfect for families, even if the kids have never heard of the Flintstones. Please share. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Albania Digs Up a Roman Noble’s Tomb–the First of its Kind Ever Found in the Country

Once a byword for backward and mafiosos, Albania is experiencing a tourist boom, and sure to help the effort is the recent discovery of a Roman noble’s mausoleum. Part of the Empire’s territory for 600 years, the south Balkan country has never dug up anything like the 29 by 19 foot long tomb, which likely […] The post Albania Digs Up a Roman Noble’s Tomb–the First of its Kind Ever Found in the Country appeared first on Good News Network.

The Media Explore ‘Toxic Empathy’ in Christianity

PBS News tweeted out something unexpected from conservative Christian author Allie Beth Stuckey, author of the book “Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion.” This was the Stuckey quote they shared: “Empathy becomes toxic when it encourages you to affirm sin, validate lies, or support destructive policies.” At first, I hoped “PBS News Hour” interviewed Stuckey, as it did a few months ago with Michael Knowles. But it turns out its website posted an article by Associated Press religion reporter Tiffany Stanley. The story noted the trend against empathy in pro-Trump circles, and balanced it with passionate rebuttal from the “progressive” Christians. The other conservative in the piece was Joe Rigney, a professor and pastor who wrote “The Sin of Empathy: Compassion and its Counterfeits.” He acknowledged: “Could someone use my arguments to justify callous indifference to human suffering? Of course,” but the Left uses Christian themes for secular ends. “Jesus was an asylum-seeker” is one of their manipulative lines. Or “Jesus was a Palestinian,” which aggressively forgets he was a Jew. It’s been particularly jarring to watch Christians oppose empathy, claimed historian Susan Lanzoni, a graduate of Harvard Divinity School who wrote a book on the history of empathy. “That’s the whole message of Jesus, right?” No. Jesus did not show empathy when he turned over the tables of the money changers outside the synagogue, and he displayed some anger when people questioned healing a man’s withered hand on the Sabbath. There are times for Christians to be indignant on behalf of God’s church. As Stanley pointed out, Stuckey made it clear empathy can be good, but it’s been co-opted “to convince people that the progressive position is exclusively the one of kindness and morality,” as in: “If you really care about women, you’ll support their right to choose” abortion. Or: “If you really respect people, you’ll use preferred pronouns.” Or another: “If you’re really compassionate, you’ll welcome the immigrant.” God-fearing people can feel empathy for the stranger—the immigrant—but that doesn’t have to overflow into an open-borders policy that allows untrammeled illegal immigration. Conservative Christians feel that the unborn child is a human being who cannot be sacrificed for a woman’s convenience. Couldn’t it be argued that it’s “toxic empathy” to encourage a frightened woman to destroy an innocent baby? The AP reporter also brought in Episcopal preacher Dana Colley Corsello for the typical liberal-media spin. “The arguments about toxic empathy are finding open ears because far-right-wing, white evangelicals are looking for a moral framework around which they can justify President Trump’s executive orders and policies,” she preached. Jesus is painted as exactly the opposite of Trump. The liberal media are much more in tune with far-left-wing, black evangelicals like Obama’s former preacher Jeremiah Wright, who didn’t display empathy for his fellow Americans when he described 9/11 as the “chickens coming home to roost.” That “liberation theology” neatly matches the radical Left. In the days after the article, Stuckey found toxic empathy in the people who felt sorry for the vicious killer of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte. The killer was a minority. She tweeted: “This animal was arrested and released a dozen times in the name of social justice and racial equity. Social justice and racial equity policies are borne out of ’empathy’ for the ‘marginalized.'” Empathy should flow plentifully to the victim and her family, and not the killer. If the killer showed remorse and asked for forgiveness, that could change. But it’s toxic in the aftermath of a senseless attack to ignore the murder victim and bemoan a “system.” COPYRIGHT 2025 CREATORS.COM We publish a variety of perspectives. Witnesses say 'there was not enough security' prior to horrific Charlie Kirk assassination

Following the vicious assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, multiple witnesses in attendance told Blaze News that there weren't enough security measures in place at the event. Kirk was shot in the neck at Utah Valley University on Wednesday before he was rushed to a vehicle and driven to a nearby hospital. Sources initially told Blaze News that he was in critical condition but later confirmed that he had passed away. FBI Director Kash Patel stated Wednesday night that a "subject" who had been in custody "has been released after an interrogation by law enforcement."Kirk was 31 years old and is survived by his wife, Erika, and their two beautiful children. 'All of the students dropped to the ground, including me.'Two brothers, Tyler and Seth Teasdale, are both UVU alumni and attended the Kirk event on Wednesday. In the chaotic aftermath, the two witnesses told Blaze News that the security measures in place were insufficient. Tyler, 27, was immediately met with the chaos of the scene when he was pulling into a parking lot and saw a black SUV speeding away. "I didn't know it at the time, but as I was pulling into this parking lot right near where the event was being held, a black SUV pulled out going 70 miles per hour down a 20 mile per hour road," Tyler told Blaze News."The back door was wide open, like 90 degrees, and it was the vehicle that had Charlie Kirk in it."Tyler noted the disarray at the scene, saying that "everyone was screaming" as he watched the SWAT teams arrive. "There was not enough security there," Tyler told Blaze News. "There was four bodyguards, basically only Charlie's team.""There was not one police officer in sight."RELATED: 'There was a shooter on a rooftop': Charlie Kirk assassination witness says shot did not come from the crowd Your browser does not support the video tag. Video provided to Blaze News by Tyler Teasdale When a police officer did arrive, Tyler spent over an hour helping law enforcement find and speak with witnesses. Law enforcement initially apprehended an older man in work clothes who was originally believed to be the suspect, but UVU later confirmed that "a suspect" was still at large.Everyone Tyler spoke with theorized that the older man who was first arrested took the fall for the actual shooter, who they say shot from higher up. A UVU spokesman also confirmed that the shot was taken from roughly 200 yards away from the stage.Seth was on the ground when Kirk was shot. The 23-year-old told Blaze News he was roughly 30 feet center-left from the fountain in the lawn area when the shot rang out.Seth told Blaze News that people remained standing at first, wondering if it was a firecracker. He recounted that a few men started yelling, "Get on the ground! Take cover!""All of the students dropped to the ground, including me," Seth told Blaze News. The students stayed there for five to 10 seconds before people started panicking, Seth said. He also saw people jumping into the nearby fountain, which is only a few feet deep, because "it was the fastest escape.""I thought about jumping in," Seth told Blaze News.RELATED: Charlie Kirk murdered in college campus assassination Your browser does not support the video tag. Video provided to Blaze News by Tyler Teasdale "There's so many rooftops around Charlie, I was thinking how easy it would be," Seth told Blaze News. "I was a bit concerned because of what happened with Trump.""I didn't see any cops on the rooftops," Seth added. "Around 10 minutes before it happened, I noticed that there wasn't anybody on the rooftops."In the moments after, Seth described all the attendees flooding into the cafeteria soaking wet and crying. Amid the mayhem, Seth reflected on Kirk's character. "Charlie is an amazing guy," Seth said. Like Blaze News?
